The service is mediocre. I enjoyed having my nails done I just feel that it's more about the experience then then anything. It felt cheap considering it wasn't cheap to have these services done , the vibes were distant and weird. The older man put nail polish remover in the polish and shook it to make it go further instead of allowing us to choose another color. I just think that's not good business practice and thought I'd share our experience with this salon. On a side note I personally had my done by Emily she is a college student currently working at the salon and I will say she did a phenomenal job on my nails She only takes appointments tho!! read more

Best manicures around! I stopped in here one night near closing because I noticed the salon wasn't super busy. (In the past, I've always skipped over it because you can see through the front that almost every chair is full, and I'm generally not good about getting appt) I had a French manicure w/SNS, and it was the best I've ever had in my life, in Vestavia or anywhere! It lasted a full month looking perfect. Thought maybe it was just a fluke-- they weren't busy and the person really took their time and that's why it lasted... nope, have had 2 other manicures here and both times I have been astonished at how well they hold up. I'm a nurse, constantly washing my hands, also love to garden, so I'm glad to have found Nail Vogue! read more

I've been to this nail shop once before for acrylic and said I would never return however, it was convenient and they had no wait. I went in and sat right down. The guy there helped me chose a color and started on my nails right away. He took so much pride in doing my Gel Manicure. (35$.) They turned out great and this visit was completely opposite of my last visit. UPDATE: I last said that I would never get acrylics here but I went back and did it anyways. The older guy did them for me and they were terrible. I should have fully examined them before I left. The nails were super thin and the very next day one broke in half and my real nail broke as well. I went back to him to get them fixed but he tried to soak acetone on my nail after I told him my real nail was broken and it was burning. He yelled at me and told me he had to get the polish off. I took the polish off myself then he tried to file my sore nail. At this point I was in so much pain I told him let me go and I got up to walk out. They all looked at me crazy like I was wrong but no way I will ever go back there. Try Royal Nails Next door! read more

Excellent mani-pedi for this first timer at Nail Vogue. The technicians squeezed us in on a saturday afternoon with barely any wait. The pedicure work especially was excellent, with a nice massage, wonderful cuticle work and careful throughout. I've gone for many months without a pedicure and half an hour later you would never have known! read more

Run. Run as fast as you can. That's really all that I have to say. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I made an appointment for 2 mani/pedis and sat there for 45 minutes before anyone was able to help us. Those were the most awkward 45 minutes, too - no music, no TV, just 5 strangers among 3 staff members. The staff was awkward, barely spoke English. We asked for a square round manicure, we got what we called "dinosaur teeth." They were shaped like blunted almonds. The pedicures weren't any better - there were toenails in the pedicure tank when she went to fill it up. When it came time to empty it, she punched a hole in the liner and let the water fill the tub, making it completely useless. My sister's toenail turned black after this visit, and 4 weeks later we are just waiting for it to fall off. Honestly, I could go on and on... this is maybe half of the issues that we had - the bottom line is it was one of the most expensive and most awkward visits to the nail salon I've ever had. Save yourself the time and money and RUN. read more

The best pedicures I've ever had came from Nail Vogue. They have a steady flow of customers and at times, there is quite of a wait. But it is worth it considering the quality of work. They are meticulous with the cuticles and nail clippings. They do a great job applying the razor for rough skin. And the foot and leg rub is really nice! My pedicures have lasted up to 3 weeks. The staff is very friendly and I look forward to each visit. read more

Only staffed by two people. Be prepared to wait forever without them giving you the courtesy of a wait time! I unfortunately came in too close to closing time to go somewhere else. This is not how I wanted to spend my extra time this evening. Update! I'm eating my words entirely with this one, I had to wait about thirty mins but learned why, because they are INCREDIBLY thorough! This is one of the best mani/pedis I've ever gotten. And the two people working tonight are the owners, a sweet older couple. And they smiled and laughed the whole time. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely come back here for all my future nail needs. Also gel nails are only $25 which is the cheapest I've found in Birmingham to date! read more

Nail Vogue is my favorite nail salon in Birmingham. They always do exactly the kind of nails that I ask for and are always so kind. For real, don't be dissuaded by some of the other reviews. I have always been treated incredibly well here and they are such sweethearts. It takes them a little while to get to everyone since it is just the three of them but they do a very good job and want to give you good service. The wait won't be long and honestly we are all on our phones anyway so you don't really notice. Go to Nail Vogue, you won't regret it! read more

My gift certificate was good only for 7 moths & I hoped they would make an exception being I had chemo & surgery inside that 7 months- even the tip was already included in that gc!!! Those Grumpy people sent me away like I had the plague. They really should be OUT OF BUSINESS! read more

Price for a pedicure is good: $25 for regular pedicure, $33 for deluxe pedicure. $58 for gel mani-pedi. However, if you don't have a whole afternoon to wait around for someone to do the service, you might as well not go. Every time I've been I have had to wait at LEAST 30 mins, which is too much time for me. I don't understand why they don't keep it staffed more than 3 employees at a time, but there have definitely been people leave the waiting area because they couldn't stay and wait for forever. Good quality mani-pedis, however, just not worth the wait. read more

The staff here are very nice and do a wonderful job! A pedicure is only $25; I've been to places that charge more and are not as thorough. The staff really takes time with each client and they are super polite. I'll be coming back! read more

Horrible! The older man cut my fingers with a nail file. I told him twice & he never said anything or apologized even tho you could see it. He also didn't thank me for coming in like he did other clients. I will never go back again & i don't recommend it to anyone else. Plus only he can do nails which is very inconvenient. read more

Nail Vogue - The cut from the nail file. Why is it even angled this way to begin with?!?! - Nail Salons Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

The minute I said I was doing regular polish on top of my acrylics, I got treated SO poorly. Every single nail is a different shape, but correcting him made things worse so I just kept my mouth closed and could not believe how I was being treated. Anytime I would tell him about fixing a nail, he would just wouldn't even say a word. Not to mention how unevenly painted they are. Awful awful experience. read more

This place is great for a mani and pedi. Very affordable. I wouldn't suggest the man though. His paint job was messy, and I'm too much of a wuss to correct him. I come here often but cringe when I have him. Doesn't make for a relaxing time. The women are great though. read more

Horrible! I will never return again. My pedicure and fill in were not quality. The manicurist left paint all around my nails. Soooo disappointed I decided to spend my money and time patronizing this business read more

*****I love this nail salon. A friend referred me Summer 2015. The location is very inconvenient considering where I work and where I live. I have given up on convenience. This is the place for me. They are always thorough. I'm happy with my pedi every time I leave. They're a pleasant group also. ***** read more

Best placw to get mani and pedi. I have horribly short bitten nails, i went to Nail Vogue a few times for pedicures and the service was wonderful. I just went to get acrylic with my stubby nails and the guy (i think name is Tot) did an amazing job with what he had to work with! He waa a lottle rough and i had a few nicks in my fingers aroind the cuticle but other than that i always leave pleased and happy. The price is reasonable and fair . I will continue to go here as long as i am in thus area. read more

I have gone to Nail Vogue for years and I was a very loyal customer until they did not allow me to use a gift certificate that expired 1 week earlier. I lost respect for their customer service. They do a great job, but do not value customer relations at all. read more

I'd been going to Holly there as her pedicure work is the best I've ever seen. But, they have some incredible problem with appointments - I called one afternoon & made an appointment for 5:30 that day. When I got there I had to wait - not a problem. Was eventually put in a chair & kept waiting....40 MINUTES later I got up to leave and the man nearest the door acted like I was crazy (he is the person who I made the appointment with.....he even repeated the time and that the appointment was for that day) I just said I feel terribly ignorant to have wasted my time waiting. This was so stupid & frustrating.... read more

I have been going to Nail Vogue since it opened. Sometime there is a wait but I just decide to go when I have time to wait. Every time I have tried another salon, because I was in a hurry, I was disappointed. Nail Vogue always gives you the time & attention you are paying for, no matter how busy they are. If you want a scheduled appointment, you need to go somewhere that only takes clients by appointment. read more

The wait time and service is awful! Even when me and my mom came were the only ones here, the lady didn't start on my pedicure for 20 minutes. read more

pathetic. go find someplace else. one person working with 4 other waiting and I'm told I have to wait 45 minutes to an hour. awful. they don't take appointments, which means you're stuck if there's only one time of day you can get this stuff done. I have a gift certificate to this place that won't be able to be used because it expires today. read more

So I visited this salon a couple of times and on my second visit I decided to get a pedicure as well as a refill gel manicure. I asked for a regular pedi but the older lady suggest I get a gel pedi so that it would last longer. She stated that the price is 58.00. I agreed. So she started on the pedi and I asked if she needed for me to choose my gel polish color for my toenails, she said "no" we can use regular polish since toes aren't subjected to oil and the ordinary things that fingernails endure each day. So we finished , there was no UV light used or anything. I was thinking ok, we'll maybe it work likes my gel application at home. The more that I though about it the I realized that I had been taken for granted. So I spoke with others that had received a gel pedicure from other salons , I confirmed with the Alabama Board of Cosmetology that using a light for curing a gel nail was standard. So I call them today and spoke with the old man, he told me they don't have gel nails and that she charged me for gel nails 35.00 and a regular pedicure. I told him that the pricing board has a 58.00 charge posted for a gel manicure and pedicure. They didn't do anything to correct this and I informed him that I was filing a formal complain with the board and the BBB. read more
