Harry and Davy are the absolute sweetest! You can feel the love they have for their clients. They offer their services from their hearts. Harry gave me a beautiful gel pedicure. He was gentle and thorough. I've had many pedis in my life and his was just wonderful. He even recommended Vit E cream to help soften calluses on my feet. They then started on my nails and both of them were super nice and my nails look amazing and straight! They did exactly what I wanted. I didnt have to repeat myself and they didnt cut me or anything. I made an appointment about a week in advance, and appreciated that they recognized who I was & the appointment I came in for. As I sat down, Harry was so helpful when I showed him a reference picture of what I wanted. Davy, Harry's wife, came over at some point and they both were helping with my dip powder set with tips! I've been going to Nail Today for quite a while now and they have always done an excellent job with my nails. When i have friends come to visit from abroad, we always go for a mani/pedi date and they tell me consistently that Nail Today gave them the best manicure and pedicure they've ever had! This place is OK. I bought a Groupon for a mani-pedi and they charged me 25$ extra for the gel--so I ended up paying $45 for a gel mani and pedi--good price. I made an appointment 1 week in advance and the staff was 20 minutes late to open the shop. I got a gel mani and regular pedicure. They have some (Not extensive) color selection and the place is pretty clean. The gel manicure was quite thick on the top of the nail and my pedicure actually chipped off within the first 2 days-- very unusual for me. In general I don't think this is your best option in Walnut creek. read more

I have been going to Nail Today in Walnut Creek for 25 years and just love Harry and Davy. Not only are they superb at what they do but are honest, hard working people. They have always worn masks themselves, but due to COVID they require customers to wear masks and installed plexiglass between you and them as well as you and any other customer. Great example of two hard working business owners who are perfectionists! They are surprisingly affordable for the quality and detail they treat your hands with. I am VERY picky about who does my hands. They also like to use silk wrap, gel, and an acrylic tip for my short nails and only charge $45 for the full set and $30 for fills every two weeks. Everyone that knows me says my hands have never looked so good. Not to mention their massage chairs are the best I've had to date! Obsessed and won't go anywhere else. The owners seemed really sweet, but she charged me $30 to remove gel and get a regular manicure! When I asked her why so expensive she said it was bc of taking off the gel. The kicker is she didn't even remove it correctly, just soaked it and scraped it off with her finger nail. There are definitely better, more updated options out there. read more

I have been going to Nail Today for 17 years!! Can't think why I haven't left a Yelp review before. The person who left a negative review yesterday is apparently not quite understanding of what it takes to remove gel since she has left two negative experiences in two salons. I am assuming she is a trained manicurist since she knows more than the manicurists she has complained about. Harry and Davy are the hardest working, highly professional, expert nail team you could find any where in the Bay Area. They may not be loud and outgoing but that is part of their charm. They are gentle unassuming people who will make you feel comfortable and all the while provide outstanding service. Recently Davy trained in the art of Micro Blading eye brows which is a semi tattoo procedure. Already she is an expert and in high demand. Way to go Davy! My initial thought when walking into this salon was- "Oh no! I've made a mistake!" My thoughts when leaving the salon- "I need to write a fantastic yelp review!" It's a tiny hole in the wall salon and I was very nervous about getting my nails done here. But it proved to be one of the better salons I've ever been to. I came in as a walk-in with no appointment and they fit me in within 10 minutes of me coming. My manicure was $45 since I got acrylics and chose a gel based polish. Good price compared to most of the places I've been! Also very good work! My nails look great! The salon was small yet very clean and very friendly. The two staff who were working (husband and wife I believe) were very kind and the woman was really fun to talk to while she was doing my nails!
