Very frustrated with LaserAway lately. I've had appointments booked months in advance only to have them canceled the day before, forcing me to wait several more weeks for the next opening. Then, when I do get an appointment, I've had to wait over 30 minutes past my scheduled time because they appear to be overbooking nurses. The treatments themselves have been good, but the scheduling and appointment management have been incredibly disappointing. I've been going to LaserAway for some time. I started going to the Walnut Creek location at first until the Concord location opened up. The staff are all super nice and knowledgeable including the nurses. They really do their best accommodating the services they provide to meet your needs. Today, Yassy was able to help me find out how to get copies of my medical records quickly. She has always been there to address any concerns or questions I have about any of the services they provide. She has a nice customer service demeanor and I enjoy her pleasant and friendly manner that you receive from her. UPDATE: DO NOT COME HERE. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY WITH FALSE PROMISES. I received a call back from the business saying they will only refund me half of my treatment when I paid $4800. They took photos of my tattoo and you can see only 25% of ink was taken out. FOUR DIFFERENT DOCTORS TREATED ME. THEY DID NOT KNOW WHERE IN THE REMOVAL PROCESS WE WERE AT. THEY QUESTIONED ME EVERY TIME I CAME IN. AREN'T YOU THE DOCTOR? ISN'T THERE SECURITY FOOTAGE OF THIS? Staff here are making my tattoo removal process harder than it needs to be. I've asked multiple times for a complete tattoo removal because it's a matching tattoo I got with an ex boyfriend who raped me. After four sessions, it seems like they've only lifted two shades of ink out and I'm treated inconsistently. In some areas of the tattoo, the doctor will make multiple passes and on others, just one. I'm getting the run around every time I complain and it's feeling like such a waste of money, time, and mental health--just like the man who raped me! The irony. Checked in for my appointment, my sister and i had one scheduled an hour apart, we just went together, when we walked in the girl at the front desk was not welcoming at all, all she says is " do you have an appointment " and checks you in. she said" your appointment isnt till 5:30 i cant check you in" which i knew!!! As i sat down i was asking her about laser pain etc since it was my first time, and it seemed like she was bothered by me asking questions maybe because she wanted to be on her personal phone?!? I am disappointed to write this review, but I had high expectations for LaserAway. I scheduled an appointment for today, October 11, back on August 21. When I arrived, I was informed that my account was closed due to an outstanding balance I was unaware of. I purchased my package from a different location and had no issues booking at the Concord location. The balance wasn't a problem; my concern was being told that my appointment was canceled without any prior notification. I never received an email, call, or text about the balance. I would have happily settled it if I had known. Instead, after planning my appointment two months in advance, I found out it was canceled right as soon as I arrived for my appointment. Given the substantial cost of the package, this lack of communication raises concerns about how the company engages with its patients. I'd like to give a shoutout to Jamila and Yasi at the front desk. They were extremely patient and did their best to help resolve my issue (which took about an hour to do). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my treatment today, which unfortunately for me, is my only day off (bummer). However, they arranged the soonest appointment for me at a further location (unfortunately) since Concord did not have any availability to fit my treatment window needs. read more

I've continued to get frustrated with LaserAway. I have yet to truly have a positive experience with any service I've paid for, despite the reassurance that things would be different. I strategically scheduled a service with LaserAway to have it done before going on vacation and I received a call same-day cancellation call. I was told then I would be rescheduled over a month out. I called the office directly and was helped by a kind staff member who unfortunately was not able to get me in before my vacation but a little after I come back. While I appreciate the help, it still does not make things right with me. I'm still incredibly frustrated that I signed up for this service to have done before I leave on my vacation, and it's just not going to happen and it is very very upsetting. read more

As for this exact location, there are two techs that are really nice. Hit or miss other than that, but the laser is so painful and it gets more painful as you do it more. Also, I had a tech say after I asked to wait because it was so painful. I am disappointed by the poor communication. I was running 5 minutes late due to construction around the area. I called in advance to notify the front desk. I was placed on hold and was parking by the time I spoke to someone again. I spoke to Vanessa on the phone who reassured me it was ok since I was parking and she would relay the information to the front desk. I got inside at 1:48. I was doing laser treatments at a different location for LaserAway, I wasn't seeing results and am sad I didn't switch locations sooner. I wasn't noticing much difference between my appointments as I believe they would leave the setting very low so I never felt anything, but also that meant not much results. The ladies at the reception desk up front are always friendly. Seems commission based in a way when you leave they try and upsell you which I understand is probably part of their job. The reason I'm writing this review is because I wanted to give a shoutout to the girl who did my laser treatment last week, Melissa. She seemed to have the most knowledge out of all the different nurses providing laser hair removal treatments to me. She was friendly and makes you feel comfortable during the process from start to finish. I've been coming here for two years, and in the last six months, I've had major issues with scheduling. I was forgotten about in the room while I was numbing before my laser tattoo session. After being in there an hour I had to leave because I needed to pick up my daughter. I rescheduled the appointment (which took about 4 weeks because they were booked out so far), and the day before, they canceled the appointment because someone called out sick. I rebooked again about 4 weeks out, and when I showed up for the appointment at 11:00 (like the confirmation text said), they told me my appointment wasn't until 11:30 and that I would have to wait an extra 30 minutes to be seen. I didn't have an extra 30 minutes, so when I went to reschedule the appointment, I was given options three weeks into the future. It's so challenging to get an appointment, yet I get spammed with text messages from them all of the time trying to sell me services. Giving 3 stars because all the staff I have interacted with have been so sweet, understanding, and kind. However, when it comes to getting an appointment, this place is horrible. When booking an appointment, it is often overbooked on other appointments. So the day before your treatment you will get a confirmation txt with a new date and time of your appointment. If you call, and things are moved around so you can keep the same appointment you booked weeks ago, then you will wait for well over an hour in a room waiting for someone to come in and tell you what's going on, and or, if you will even have your treatment. Then because they are now backed up, they will rush through your appointment (not providing proper service through the end of your session). Unfortunately I bought a package and have to finish the treatments, but I can say that I will not be ordering bc anything else from here. Too many wasted hours and days with scheduling. read more
