My experience with Melissa could not have gone any better! I got lip filler for the first time (Juvederm) and was super nervous about looking crazy afterwards. She answered all of my questions, made sure I was comfortable before proceeding and we achieved the exact results I wanted!!! Every step of the way she asked me where I'd like it or the look/shape I was going for rather than injecting wherever and letting me go. I've had 7 treatments with LaserAway, and overall the service has been very good. Today was an extreme exception, and I won't be returning to the Concord location ever again as a result. EVERY time I have shown up to an appointment, I've sat in the waiting room for 7-10 minutes. That's fine, since I only have treatments on days that I don't work. Today, due to traffic, I showed up 7 minutes AFTER my appointment time. The young blonde receptionist was very nice, and checked me in. She then went to retrieve my nurse, and I waited for another few minutes. They eventually came out and told me that they didn't have time for my full treatment, and I'd have to make another appointment for later to do the other half. I asked why, and the receptionist said, "Because we have another client coming in after you." I said, "Yes, but why am *I* being bumped? Every time I come here, I wait for at least 7 to 10 minutes." I really didn't understand what was going on, and I needed clarification. That's when the receptionist with brown hair (who had nothing to do with this) chimed in with a loud, "IT'S NOW 11:25, AND YOUR APPOINTMENT WAS AT 11:15. THERE'S NO NEED FOR YOU TO GET ALL UPSET." I said, "Oh, isn't there?" And she said, "NO!" I said, "I have a busy schedule this week, and I can't just come back whenever." She then said, "YOU DON'T NEED TO GET ALL COMBATIVE! WE'RE TRYING TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU!" I got up and said I'd just make an appointment at another location. I called Nadia -- the salesperson who helped me from the beginning of this journey -- and she happily scheduled me at the Walnut Creek store. I will say that a lot of the hype about this place is due to a few psychological factors such as the intimacy of the treatments, as well as the high price. People generally feel the need to justify going through those things, so they interpret the experience as more positive than it actually way. But the attitude from some of the staff who work at this place needs to be checked. There are MANY places where people can get the treatments offered at LaserAway. Their prices are significantly higher than many of them. For example, I paid over $3000 for 8 laser hair removal treatments on my legs. That's about $375 per treatment. I asked if they would give me that last 2 treatments on my arms instead (some regrowth had occurred in the 15 years since I had laser hair removal there), and they charged me ANOTHER $300 for that. Does that make any sense to you? Look at your arms, then look at your legs; which has more surface area? If anything, switching to my arms was SAVING them money. But, I paid the extra because, "Sir, we have to charge you the à la carte price." Anyway, you'd at least expect that, for the extra cost, you'd be treated with respect. That didn't happen today, and it soured my entire year-long experience with the business. If I ever need treatments again, I won't be returning to LaserAway. That ONE receptionist cost them thousands in future business with me. read more

Ariel was such a fantastic nurse to work with! I usually go to the LA in Walnut Creek but the Concord office was able to squeeze me in for a quick mid-week appointment. The girls at the front greeted me upon my arrival, and Ariel was all ready to take me in for appointment. I only come here to see one nurse, I've repeatedly told the employees my preference and why that is. Twice i've had people who weren't the nurse I want and they've left patches non lasered. I had called after the last app when I was seen by other nurse and I never got a call back when I told them I was unhappy with the patches. Never got a call back. This is the 2nd time i've had to walk out because I was waiting 30-40 minutes for the nurse to come on top of me getting the news "oh your not with who you asked for" ... are you kidding me. Both days Ive had to rearrange my work schedule to try to get in when my nurse was there. This has been a complete waste of my time, my money, and my work!!! I look forward to hearing from the manager. I told the front desk employee today I want someone reaching out to me about this I'm done calling and getting no call back this is not a way to treat a customer who drops over 2,000 on services. Be careful going to this place! There's no prices listed anywhere. Everything is listed in their I-pads. You give them your credit card for payment & they never give you a receipt on anything in writing to show what you just paid for. I paid for several treatments to still have hair on my on my face & to be told all my treatments have been used & I will have to purchase more treatments. A total RIP OFF, don't waste your money with this establishment! I give them one star because the Nurses that give the treatments are very nice. I have visited The Concord location several times and the location is great with easy parking. My recent visit to have my lips plumped was excellent. My nurse Melissa was amazing. She explained everything and because she was so professional and thorough the pain was minimal while 2 weeks earlier I had to stop treatment because I couldn't tolerate it. I will be requesting Nurse Melissa whenever possible. If you are new to a treatment I highly recommend watching the LazerAway videos on youtube first and ask questions if you have them. Anastasia at the front desk was friendly and helpful she is such a sweetheart and she makes everyone comfortable. This has been a great experience over the past few months. Ah, well they took down my review without having resolved anything. Let me post another one so you can all avoid Laser Away. I have been going to the Concord location as it's the nicer clinic, but the services are still subpar. The most unprofessional company I've had misfortune to do business with. Also the most I've ever spent on a service, to not have that service fulfilled, and to be treated like a pest instead of a customer. They incorrectly performed 2 laser hair removal sessions. When I tried to report it, they said they would resolve it ONLY at the end of my sessions. At the end of my sessions, they refuse to compensate me for their mess ups. It's really not hard. Offer me the sessions you performed incorrectly, nothing less. Or offer me the 25% of almost $4k you have stolen from me, under breach of your own contract. They won't even give me money back for the one session I haven't even used for my legs. They didn't let me stop coming in after I mentioned several times how I wanted this resolved. I previously reported a complaint through BBB, uploaded all my documents, emails, schedule of events including every time I have complained about this situation and nothing has been done. Mandi Holmes is the worst "Client Experience" worker I have ever spoken to. She knew nothing of the situation, that should have been documented in my file, and refuses to correct the situation, even though LA baited me for a year saying they would resolve this AFTER my sessions. Mandi has 'offered' me 2 treatments on only 2 out of the 4 areas I had paid for to be treated. She can offer me 2 full treatments on all 4 areas they mistreated, or the 25% back for their bait-and-switch services. I previously heard a receptionist at the Concord location telling a potential customer that if she wants she can substitute similar size areas on her face treatments. All I wanted was to treat my bikini line - I was forced into bundles and let down by a disgraceful company. At this point, I might even agree to the 2 treatments offered on half my targeted areas if they could just switch armpits to bikini for 4 more treatments to the only area I actually cared about. On my last review, Jamie L proved his poor reading comprehension by saying "Looks like someone has followed up with you" - I have to keep leaving reviews because NO ONE follows up or resolves anything. Avoid this company like the PLAGUE. I will be sharing my story and following up with legal services until they actually provide a solution. read more

My experience at Laser Away in Concord has been phenomenal. Always greeted by a knowledgeable and professional receptionist, Kim. I have had two visits with Nurse Kae Marie and I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She is so thorough and precise. The first time I had a session with her, she explained everything carefully and made sure I was comfortable. It was my first time getting Botox and Lip filler and she made me so comfortable. Even throughout her doing my lips, she would ask and make sure I was doing ok. Same with my 2nd visit, just as precise and so nice. My results are beautiful. I won't be going to anyone but her. Laseraway blew me off for our virtual appointment- confirmed 3x that it would be 12:30 on zoom. Instead they called me at 12:25 from a "scam likely"number which I didn't pick up. "Justine" left me a vm and text asking me if I was still available to have the appointment or would I have to reschedule? I called the concord location and let them know I was waiting. I also texted the number back several times saying I was the zoom. No ever showed up. But finally at 12:50 someone called me to apologize for the misunderstanding. The virtual appointment over the phone was odd. I had to fill out a bunch of forms sent over via text in a very rushed fashion to be able to send photos in? Why not ask for those up front instead ofWHILE you're on the phone? Then you send photos in, still while you're on the phone. The whole reason i was interested was the 25% off discount they've been advertising. Turns out that only applies if you do 4 applicators. Wish they had just been up front about that- I don't want to commit to $2k somewhere that can't even get their virtual appointments right. I wouldn't even have bothered. Started out with the sales representative misleading me on everything, she sold me on a program that I thought was not a credit card type thing, Told me it was a point program that I can pay as I go, then that led to the services all which were also mis represented, my appointments continued to be canceled and rescheduled etc etc, I finally got in for my appointment and got my lips done, the nurse was ok but the filler only lasted me 2 months and I was told it would last up to 12 months, I went in for a follow up, told them I was not happy and they told me a manager would follow up with me which that never happened!
