My first laser treatment was at the Concord location, where I was in my treatment room with laser treatment started within ten minutes of arrival. I've had several treatments here, including Thermage, Clear + Brilliant, and regular Hydrafacials. Overall, the treatments themselves have been great. On one occasion, I did run into a small issue, but what impressed me most was how it was handled. Missy went above and beyond--she knew when my next appointment was, personally came out to greet me, and apologized right away. Her proactive approach and genuine care turned the situation completely around. Things happen, but it's how they're resolved that really shows the quality of a business. Friendly people, clean environment, and useless lasers. $2k for weak results. I heard people blame the numbing cream but I only used that at 1 out of 10 sessions. If youre considering this place, find somewhere else with better equipment. I called LaserAway just to ask about pricing, but during the call I was pressured to make a quick decision by being told the "deal" would expire within minutes. I didn't feel comfortable, but I gave in because I felt rushed. After 2 hours of thinking, I realized I had made a mistake and immediately tried to cancel and ask for a refund. I hadn't received any treatment at all, and I explained my situation honestly. But nobody tried to work with me. Customer service was cold, dismissive, and rushed to end the conversation. I didn't feel heard or respected at all. It's disappointing to be treated this way after trusting a company with such a big financial decision. No one should be pressured into making decisions they're not ready for, and customer service should support -- not dismiss -- people trying to fix a mistake. read more

I have been coming to LaserAway for many years - unfortunately, during my last couple of visits, they have been having me to wait more than 30 min to be seen! It is unacceptable as they should be able to plan accordingly & schedule people at proper times. My time is valuable. I m never coming back to this location - the nurse only took less than 5 min (I timed it) to do my face laser hair removal!! She was extremely careless and didn't get all the areas. Horrible customer service and insanely overpriced laser hair removal. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I completed my laser hair removal at LaserAway in Walnut Creek, and it was a complete waste of money. They charge more than other places, but the service isn't worth it. I wish I had gone elsewhere. Even after doing the maintenance package, I saw little to no difference. The front desk staff is pushy and only focused on selling more packages instead of actually helping customers. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, their solution was for me to spend even more on additional maintenance sessions. Absolutely ridiculous! I will never give them another cent. I just called to make an appointment for a refresher for my laser hair removal that I had done five years ago. It was great by the way I did full legs, armpits, and bikini line back then. I also wanted to get an idea of how much it would cost if I got a package for my daughter for her birthday. The woman would not give me an answer of any kind and told me that it could cost anywhere from $600-$5900 and that there were 30 different ways to price it and I said OK can we talk through what those 30 different ways are so I can get an idea or maybe just get her a package and she just kept saying she couldn't give me any kind of answer so I asked to talk to somebody else and she hung up on me. So I called back and I told the person who answered what had happened and in the middle of my sentence, he forwarded my call to somebody else where I was put on hold. I wasn't being difficult and the conversations were not combative. I just wasn't getting any kind of answer which was bizarre. So now I'm asking for recommendations from my friends for other places and I'll go somewhere else. Completely terrible service, especially since I was happy to spend money there read more

This was my second time at this location, and I would not come back. When I arrived, there was a queue to check in, so the manager came out with a laptop to assist people. She was very pushy to get me rebooked right away (usually done at the end of the appointment) but I didn't think much of it. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and waited in the lobby after checking in. A lady came in about 20 minutes later (about 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment time) and got seen by the person I was scheduled with. After waiting about 20 minutes past my appointment time (30 minutes waiting total) I asked the front desk if I'd be able to be seen soon. The front desk staffed seemed annoyed that I talked to them and said that I just need to wait, sometimes people have sensitive skin (referring to the lady they took before me) and that it's not their (Laser Away's) fault. I felt like I was being brushed off by them despite the fact that I arrived early and still hadn't been seen 20 minutes past my scheduled time. I was offered no updates unless I asked, no apologies, nothing. To me, it seemed like they double booked my timeslot hoping the other appointment would be quick and they could make more money (my scheduled appointment had been made weeks in advance, and I had several areas to cover, so I was scheduled for an hour). Whatever happened, the fact that they never apologized and made me feel like I was the rude one for asking for updates really soured my experience there. The nurse who did my appointment did a great job, and was very kind, but the overall experience was pretty disappointing. For an area that is hard to get to, and when you have to pay for parking, being made to wait 30 minutes was not okay, since I then had to pay extra for parking and I was made late for everything else I had that day. If it's accessible to get to, I highly recommend going to the Concord location in the Veranda instead - free parking, and far kinder staff running that location. read more

I am now dealing with itchy puffy eyelids that look horrible as a result of improperly injected Xeomin. I've consulted with a doctor about it and was told that the Xeomin was injected too deeply too close to the eye. When I contacted LaserAway about this, the only thing they did was give me eye drops, but they only work for short term relief. LaserAway refused to do anything to alleviate my symptoms and even refused to issue me even a partial refund, saying that I must have rubbed my face after the procedure, which is BS. Stay away from this unprofessional med spa. Gross! read more

Given that this is *not* a local business and that it had shitty service, I feel no qualms leaving a one-star review. There's a reason why this place is super cheap. All laser places around the Bay Area have pretty prompt phone / online inquiry responses, and I decided on LaserAway because it had cheaper packages than everywhere else. I wanted to laser off the hairs on my upper lip (pretty unnoticeable to everyone but me) and decided to take advantage of this time of masking so that if everything got puffy, no one would see. haha. Why not drop $100 for 5 zap appointments and be done with the plucking? So, I made my appointment. WEEKS ago. 2 DAYS before my appointment, I receive an email that I HAPPENED to open that had forms for me to fill out. Essentially I signed away ALL liability and there seemed to be some indication that this was going to be a medical procedure. THEN, the MORNING of, apparently, I got texts (see screenshots). The first one was at 11:51AM. My appointment was at 5pm. The text said "SEV: Please text our NP back at (818) 515-6168 "ready". As soon as possible. Without clearance you will not be treated and appointment will be cancelled". I'm sorry, but I had no idea what this meant. I also didn't read this until 15 minutes before my appointment. I tried to call the number and got an automated message that led to no human being. So then, I walked in and was informed that I would need to have a tele-conference with their Nurse Practitioner located in Los Angeles? WHAT? So, I guess reading between the lines, lasering IS a medical procedure. To get around the cost of hiring in-person nurses, and to get around malpractice issues, they have you face-time with a random NP for your "consultation." Honestly, I have no problem with tele-consultations or that they're trying to creatively cut costs. My issue is that instead of sending me a clear email with a link to the forms I have to fill out and a way to make an appointment AT MY OWN TIME with their Nurse Practitioner (why would you assume I know what an NP is, when there's no context that this is medical?), they sent me an email and then texted me day of, and then informed me when I came INTO the office that my appointment was cancelled. It was a sign. I don't need this procedure and I can throw away my money on something else. read more

I was nervous about trying this at first due to the costs and the possibility it might not permanently remove hair. I have PCOS and decided to try it anyways. I have to say I am satisfied with the results so far, especially my face. I might have small hair growth cycles but it's a lot better than it used to be. Also if I notice cycles of growth I can do maintain treatments that can be booked whenever I want. I do appreciate that they also discount those by a lot. I have to mention that nurse Carmen in particular has been really cool. She is down to Earth and kinda funny. All the nurses have been polite and friendly. The hours at the Walnut Creek office are pretty accommodating also. They have a clean, well decorated office too. read more

So my journey at LaserAway started back in August 14, 2020. I have been really self conscious about the hair on my body...more specifically my legs. Most people might not think I'm hairy but everyone has their own insecurities. So I made the leap and I called LaserAway to get started. First off when I called LaserAway the lady that answered was super nice and it was like I was talking to one of my girlfriend. So onto the summer deals...I was able to get my legs done and getting my armpits and Brazilian as a bonus. Yes, the laser pinches sometimes but I think it is way less painful than waxing. Each session gets stronger. What I mean by strong is the intensity. If the intensity of the laser gets stronger and it hurts or creates pain you need to speak up. LaserAway are able to lower the intensity. The intensity of the laser during the Brazilian was getting too strong for me so I stopped it all together. I had two sessions left but since I was seeing great results I didn't see the harm in stopping. I had eight sessions for my legs and armpits. I was able to stop at eight because my results were amazing! You are able to stop at eight or go to ten sessions if you need more sessions. There might be times you need to get a "touch up" which is pretty much going back down the road. My journey was longer than it should have been just because I was getting bumps on my legs and they were itchy. This was not a side effect of getting my legs laser. I sometimes get that from time to time. So I had to delay a couple of my appointments. Another reason why it took me longer was due to the pandemic. My results for my legs were amazing! I haven't had to shave my legs for months. The results for my armpits were amazing as well. I used to get bumps and my hair was so dark and coarse since I would shave so much. My armpits are now light and no hair has grown back. I haven't had to worry about my under arms in months. My results for my Brazilian were great as well. I'll leave that at that haha My last session was August 21, 2021. For payment....I wish I would have made my payments bigger in the beginning. I am still paying for it. This sucks but just thinking how much I would be paying for waxing makes me feel a little better. read more

My first laser treatment was yesterday! Cathryn was so great, sweet and caring. She walked me through everything and was more than happy to answer my questions as we went along. Cathryn worked quickly, was thoughtful and focused while performing the treatment. I would love to have Cathryn again as my nurse for the laser treatment! The reason for only 4 stars has to do with the company itself. I had my first treatment scheduled a couple weeks back, then due to a laser being down, they asked me to go elsewhere after I already arrived. They weren't able to get me into my preferred location (Concord), hence my first treatment was in Walnut Creek. I also wait nearly 20 minutes for my appointment yesterday to start, so I'm not sure if they're understaffed or just disorganized at that location. The LaserAway customer service representative, Katrina, both tried to gaslight me and inadequately "addressed" my problem by justifying the training undergone by the practitioner who was supposed to be just shadowing. During our phone conversation, Katrina questioned if they actually switched providers and how I could have known if my eyes were covered up. After I told her that it was verbally confirmed when the practitioner-in-training made a mistake, she goes "oh I see in the notes it says that they switched for the right side of your face." If it's in the notes, why are you trying to pretend it didn't happen and I made it up in my head? We concluded the phone call with Katrina telling me she would follow up with Walnut Creek's office and send me an email with the result. Rather than addressing the problem (that they tried to hide having an inexperienced nurse switch to performing a laser procedure on my face, one who I was told would just be shadowing my appointment), she informed me that they simply have changed *my* file to ensure I "will be treated by [their] seasoned nurses". I'd like others to be aware because it sounds like this facility is not planning to properly use the medical version of the term "shadowing" going forward. Instead, they will likely allow new nurses to practice on you without your consent or knowledge. read more

Nurse Cathryn burned my armpits and Brazilian area. I couldn't stand the feel of my undies or even put my arms down. Please choose your nurse wisely! Also, She didn't give me enough ice packs for the three areas to be treated even when I told her I needed more. I've been coming here for the last 3 years and the service has gone down tremendously. As previous reviewers wrote, the wait time have gotten sooo long! The place has gotten dirtier and from my last visit the place smell like sewage. Almost every time I call, my calls never get through. Very frustrating. I ended up calling another location to get my questions answered. The last visit really made me never want to go back again. My apt was at 5:15. Receptionist put me in my room at 5:30. Nurse didn't come in until 5:40. She was annoyed that my arm was on the opposite side of the machine and quickly ask if I was ready. She did not prep or give a look at the treated area. All the other nurses always inspect, clean the area, and sometimes mark the area. This nurse did none of that and did not offer the stress ball. Im not confident that this nurse did her best and actually care what she does for living! read more
