I've been going to Adrianne (master injector) for a year or two now. She has been absolutely essential on my aesthetic journey. I had previously been having trouble finding an injector that is skilled, professional, and personable and I was relieved to finally meet and get treated by Adrianne. I started with PDO threads. Adrianne also does my routine Dysport and filler. I'm so glad I trusted her to fill my lips for the first time - they are perfect. I had hesitated to get them done for so long because there's no much bad work out there, and I simply couldn't risk it having had poorly placed filler other places before. Do not recommend this MedSpa the owner Adrianne ignored my message when I had a question about getting my lips done. I wasn't aware that she doesn't inject anymore and left my message on seen instead of answering my question, very unprofessional and rude too . I still proceeded to get my lips done with another injector to give this place a chance but didn't get the results I was looking for and made me pay extra. I let the injector know I needed more filler on one side via message and the Front desk receptionist basically said not to bother the nurse. Beware of uneven, or lumpy lips. Really bad customer service. Please be patient with me as this review will be lengthy and informative. Especially if you have in mind to make an appointment here! VISIT #1 I decided to make an appointment after considering it for a while. I scheduled dissolver because I wanted to start fresh after having 1ml of filler done years before. I spent $600 for two vials of dissolver and was informed that I still had some old filler in them, but it wasn't a huge concern and that I could perhaps dissolve it later on. VISIT #2 This was my lip filler appointment. Restalyne kysse was the one I picked because I had been assured it would give me more volume. The consultation went well, and Ashley was really kind and patient with me. Initially, I was happy with my results. After the swelling went away, I began to see that my lips were uneven and lumpy. VISIT #3 This was a follow-up appointment for the filler. I conveyed my concerns about the lumps. They told me that they would be performing a "smoothing" procedure and that my lips should be good after that. (A smoothing treatment is simply just them squeezing the hell out of the bumps without any numbing cream. You are given a stress ball to help you cope with the pain... I had neverrrr heard of such a thing. VISIT #4 I contacted them again to let them know that the lumps were still there after the "smoothing treatment." At this point, I was losing patience. I was directed to the Pleasanton location so that they could examine my lips in person. Nobody was there when I arrived. After 15 minutes, I received a phone call. They clarified that they told me to go to the Pleasanton site when they really meant Walnut Creek. They were super apologetic, I understand mistakes happen. I assured them I could drive to Walnut Creek without hesitation, so that's what we did. During this visit, I expressed my dissatisfaction because the lumps remained and an additional torturous smoothing procedure took place. It makes your lips plump and smoother, but after the swelling goes away, it's back to normal. I was frustrated and decided to reach out to Adrienne directly considering that she trains everyone there. I contacted her, explained the situation, and she instructed me to schedule a follow-up appointment with her, which I did. VISIT #5 I was waiting for Adrienne in one of the rooms when she came in. She asks that I explain what happened. There was no other explanation for the lumps except 1. Because I obtained filler elsewhere it's possible that whatever filler I had left reacted with restalyne kysse and caused the lumps. (unlikely). 2. The dissolver could have contributed to the creation of the lumps in my lips. Overall, she has no idea why this happened. She fails to explain the cause and doesn't offer a solution except for you guessed it.. I had another "smoothing treatment" during this visit. In the end, she tells me that I should do another 2+ vials of dissolver and get another syringe of filler. So, basically, another $1200 or so. I left feeling frustrated with lumps still in my lips. I walked back in because I couldn't believe I kept complaining about the same thing, showing up, and still nothing was truly done. I told them I should've been advised that because we're using dissolver or whatever, I might develop lumps. I should have been promised that if something happened, it would be taken care of because it wouldn't have been my fault!! She didn't seem too sympathetic; she just wanted the problem to go away, so she offered to use dissolver on the lumps, which I believe should have been done a long time ago. Weeks passed by and the lumps still looked the same. I was contacted and asked how my lips were doing at that point. I didn't reply because I don't trust this place and don't want them to touch my lips ever again. I don't know what happened. These lumps aren't normal no matter how much they've downplayed this. read more

I was looking forward to getting dysport done at Encore but the lack of communication is super poor. I booked an appointment 2 weeks ago that required a $50 deposit with the understanding that you have 48 hours to make any changes without your deposit being taken. My appointment was Today (a Thursday) and I've been trying to call since Monday morning to reschedule due to my job asking me to come in on a scheduled day off. They send you a text after not answering the phone stating you'll get a call back or you can text that number back. I received no call back and when you text the number back you get an error code. :( Update: This place is ran by someone with 0 empathy & cares more about yelp reviews than their clients. I got a call back after my 3rd time reaching out by a nice girl who seemed genuinely understanding. She told me she would talk to her boss about getting me rescheduled. When she called me back she stated they issued me a refund but because of my yelp review I would not be a good fit. If you read my review above I did not say anything rude nor offensive it was simply that I was upset I could not get through to their team. They stated they saw all my phone calls but didn't have record of the ones before the 48 hours. Im so glad things "didn't work out". Don't be fooled by a really well-managed Instagram page... I had Dyasport and not only did it hurt for days after, my eyebrows are uneven...and when I went back for a correction it was worse. All I can do is wait 3+ months for it to wear off so it can be fixed. This was done by Adrienne. Had a hydro facial by one of their new techs. My skin has no improvement, in fact, it's dryer. Lastly, this place makes you do appointments that are cryptic, takes a deposit and you're never sure how much things will cost. I regret not listening to my gut - also I had a PDO thread appt and they canceled on me - saved me money and probably a botched job...so I count that as one of the blessings. I had a great phone consultation with Adrienne where she assured me she was experienced in applying filler in the areas I was interested in which are trickier and more high risk. She was very personable and welcoming. The day before my appointment I was told she was having a medical issue and could not see me. They said I could see Jenny who was an experienced injector. On the day of the appointment Jenny rushed through an assessment, admitted she wasn't comfortable doing many of the injection areas and instead only applied filler in my nasolabial folds. The product she used was so thick and her placement was so topical that it created a ridge that puffed out where the fold has been. I have been getting filler for years and never experienced this side effect so I called the office. They instructed me to wait two weeks and then if it still bothered me to come in. Two weeks later Adrienne agreed that it was poorly placed but her only option was to dissolve it. I had two sessions of dissolver and no longer have the ridge but a deep pocket where my own collagen has now been depleted. I mentioned to her that I was going to another medspa for a treatment she didn't offer and she chided me in a very rude way as if I was a child. She said I shouldn't be hopping around to different places. I explained to her that I had come yo her spa because my regular spa had been affected by covid restrictions and wasn't doing filler near the nose or mouth and the other place offered a radio frequency treatment that neither of them offered. She lost any future business at that point. Overall a very poor experience and 3 months later I still have to deal with a sunken fold where the filler was dissolver that ate away my own facial fat. read more

I had my lips done by Nurse Adriana. She did an amazing job on my lips that's why I am rating it 3. However, in my opinion this place is overly priced compared to other locations. Even pricer than actually cosmetic doctors (MD) in the Bay Area. You are charged per session $750 instead of per syringe. I checked other places in the Bay Area and mostly all of them charge per syringe. For example, if you have your lips done and they use 1 ml in your lips. Most fillers come in 1 ml quantity, so if you need only 0.3 ml for the next session, you will be charged 750 again which makes this crazy pricey. In my case, I had my lips done back home in Canada in 2015. And this was my second time to get it done. Nurse Adriana, did a great job but however for me to get more filler in my lips she requested I get my filler dissolved first which she added at the first place and then there is a $600 cost to get it dissolved, that is just waste of $750 I spent at the first place to have the filler in my lips. So basically I would have to spend $600 to dissolve first and then $750 for the filler again. I love the work she does but this set me off. So I looked into another place in the Bay Area with a licensed cosmetic MD and they charge per syringe and on the amount required in your lips. Which in my opinion makes much more sense and cost effective and with a licensed MD. If you have the money and okay spending $750 per session go with this place but if you are looking for great work and reasonable cost with a license MD look for another place, as there are places who do a great job and are cost effective. Follow-up to my Encore Med Spa review in October regarding visit late June, 2021. I am happy to say that the Encore team as well as Adrienne reached out to adjust my fillers and address my dissatisfaction via a complimentary vial of Voluma for my cheeks. The results were fabulous! Adrienne was professional and expert at her craft with just the right touch up needed for perfect results. Her concern over my previous dissatisfaction was obvious. Probably the worst treatment I had-- I saw Adrienne for Dysport. 1. Non-transparent pricing - I have no idea how many units I ended up receiving. She treats "by area" which should be a huge red flag. A provider who doesn't look at the whole face when doing treatments is not experienced. Because we did brows only, the rest of my face muscles compensated and had INCREASED movement. 2. Dysport placement was not expert or artful- had FULL movement after my appointment with her. I had to go to an expert provider to fix the botched job I got here. I had been searching for better lip fillers for awhile when I came across Encore on instagram. Their before & after photos for lip injections were so beautiful I couldn't believe it. I made a consult appointment and was told I had to dissolve all my previous filler before they would fill my lips. I've recently visited Encore for lip injections. In the past, I had received 0.75ml in my lips over 3 years ago that never made a difference (from somewhere else). I stumbled across Adrienne's Instagram and was so excited to book an appointment with her. After paying for a $50 consultation fee, I was informed that she would not take me on as a new client until I had my previous filler resolved (3 years ago) and get another procedure done before moving back to lips so I was a little annoyed at that but it all worked out. I found this business on Instagram and had a virtual consult for a lower face PDo threat lift in February after my consultation I moved forward to scheduled my apt and paid a deposit. On the day of my apt I was shocked at how painful the procedure was from beginning to end. The lidocaine injections meant for pain control were incredibly painful and despite that the thread instillation itself was terribly still painful. I left with ice packs on my face and cried in the car. I could not shut my mouth and had weird dimples on my lower face from the anchoring of the threads and was told that it was normal to feel over pulled and that it would settle and that the dimples would go away within two weeks which they did not . I also left with being able to feel the threads Inside my inner cheeks with my tongue. I was in constant pain in my face and scalp for 2 weeks and on the day of my two week follow up found out that my nurse who did my procedure was no longer working there despite the spa not informing me directly. I only found out because I contacted the nurse directly with a question and she informed me. Updated review: I was contacted by Adrianne the owner after the review I previously posted that I need to come in for a 2 week complimentary follow up for her to asses the site and to make sure I am happy with the results. After finding out it was complimentary I was really happy and had high hopes again as spending more money definitely was not in my budget. I met up with the lovely McKenzie and the owner Adrianne and felt very welcomed, comfortable and warm to be back. We compared before & after pictures and through the before pictures I actually did have a small bump under my chin. It was barely visible before so I never noticed it. Adrianne explained that because the filler goes above the bone and under the muscle it caused the bump to be more pronounced. She recommended to do the botox which she insisted on my first session although I was scared to go that route because of the idea of it. After some research that botox doesn't actually paralyze the muscle but relax it, I decided to give it a try. Adrianne inject a small amount and the bump almost completely disappeared in a matter of seconds. I was so happy and gave Adrianne a huge hug. I apologize for writing my previous review and after visiting for the second time I should have listened to Adrianne's advice the first session in receiving botox along with the lip filler which would have saved us both time. Encore Medspa is hands-down the best in the Bay Area. I drive 1-1.5 hours to see the team and Adrienne specifically for Botox and lips. I've also had a few hydrafacials as well (which are incredible for your skin). I've been to both locations and I've seen the team consistently since 2019. I replaced another practitioner due to subpar work, and it was the best decision - because when it comes to our face, we should only have the absolute best. Adrienne's team is extremely accommodating and communicates well, they're very kind and it's clear they orient around a patient-first mindset. Adrienne is not only the best at her craft, but I appreciate her transparency and ongoing pursuit of continual education. It would be easier to stagnate because she is SO good at what she does, but instead she is constantly reinvesting in her education/learning/skills whilst simultaneously up-skilling her team. Transparency wise - I appreciate her candor, because there have been times I wanted an appointment sooner than what was safe and she said let's wait a bit. It's rare that a smaller business would essentially turn down revenue, so that is one small example of the trust she has earned/gained from me. I came to Encore because my mom has seen Adrianne has worked with my mom for various things and my mom trusts her with her life at this point. This was my first time getting anything done and my lip fillers turned out STUNNING! My lips were slightly lopsided and gappy in the center when relaxed.
