No bashing, just facts. Been going to Nail Time Spa in Eagle River regularly for a few years. The past few months have been having issues with my fingernails, very dry, brittle, lifting from the nailbed a bit. Kept asking them about it, told to use oil that my nails were very dry. Went to dermatologist today. Diagnosed with Nail fungus. Contagious through using unsanitized tools in nail salon. Dr said it is very common to contract in unsanitized nail salons. I have witnessed on many occasions Nail Time staff use tools on clients consecutively without sanitation. Some tools (buffer blocks and such) cannot be sanitized, yet they are reused. I contacted Nail Time Spa to arrange having gel polish removed that day in order to start treatment. I did not want to infect another salon. I urged them, as per my dermatologist's direction, to notify clients, sanitize tools and change their practices. When I arrived, they acted as if nothing was wrong. She actually tried to use unsanitized products on me!!! I was told that nail fungus is common. She actually told me that 3 days prior at my manicure when I asked her about my nails, she suspected fungus!!! But she said NOTHING. The woman sitting next to me having her nails done was telling the owner she was having trouble with her nails and that they were dry and lifting from the nail bed on the corners. She was told to use oil, it was dry skin. Truly, unbelievable. I am so disappointed in them. Beware my friends. read more

Love this place! They do the BEST pedicures and have a crazy good selection of colors. So glad they are in my town and don't have to drive into the city for a good pedi. One star off because they are pretty expensive. read more

Very disappointed today. I could not get in to see Ben 21/2 weeks ago so I went with another technician to get a brand new set. After 2 weeks 3 nails were lifting & one fell off. Got into see Ben who fixed everything but still ended up paying $120 for a fill & a basic pedicure for my daughter! I asked him if he could do an ombré nail which he did. Tried a couple of colors. I wasn' t sure I liked it & he was running late for his next appt & forgot I wanted a rhinestone design. He moved me along so I left & thought I would see if The color grow on me. I did not like it so I went back an hour later to get it changed. Hannah did a great job. When I went to check out I saw Ben. He said "really you didn't like it? You should have said something" I told him I felt rushed & wasn't sure. Well that was a HUGE mistake. It cost me $30 on top of the $60+ spent to fix a bad set. Ben's reaction was "see? You need to say something or it will cost you" really?? I have been in a customer service role for over 25 years. You need to do what's right for the customer & situation. I will NOT be going back. Nail Time and Spa has never disappointed me. I have always been able to get in within 3 days. They even fit me in to get a shellac manicure last minute and the girl who did my nails stayed after closing to finish and let me tell you, she did such a great job. Wish I caught her name :(. I travel full time. This is one of the best nail salons I have ever been to. They were professional & friendly - everything is tracked on a computer program. They knew my name by my phone number & the tech I had seen previously. He did an outstanding job on my longer nails & even added an attractive nail art. Every time I go to Nail Time in Eagle River I alway have an amazing experience, no matter who does my nails. Hannah does a fantastic job for gel nails and Jenny is very skilled at full sets. The staff makes sure I always feel welcomed and makes sure I leave completely happy and satisfied with the services I asked for they're also very friendly with military members and give a discount! I wanted to start trying to get my brows threaded here because i love getting my nails done here and it's conveniently located for me. I went in for a pedicure about a month ago and that's when i noticed in your brochures that you offer brow threading but it didn't say the price. So i called just now and asked you offer brow threading right? and the lady said "No" so i kind of was like ummmm because i saw it in your brochures. and then the lady said "well she just isn't in now" and i said "well when is she usually in?" and she said "we don't know what her schedule is". All i simply wanted was to know when a good time for me to come in to get threaded would be and what the price is. Instead i got neither and the lady on the phone was extremely short and rude with me. Maybe you shouldn't advertise a service when the phone lady has zero information about it! I love this spa, they do a wonderful job are friendly and it is CLEAN.....I am very picky about a clean environment and how I am greeted, as well as the quality of service. I work in the Service industry and it is important how you come across to your clients. I feel they do very good job and plan on continuing to use them for my manicures and pedicures. read more

I was traveling and really needed to have an acrylic fill with gel overlay. I didn't have an appointment so went in early and didn't have to wait. Ben did my nails, did a very good job, one of the best I have had. I will stop again when we are again in the area. read more

I am not sad that I went, but I don't think I'll come again. The nail job was pretty good and I am pleased with the nail art I got. The down side is they all bring their kids which makes it not a very peaceful environment for a mani-pedi. There is a strong chemical smell which gave me a small headache. Very good job when it came to the pedicure itself. However my Grandmother and I agree that the technicians did not seem to care about our comfort. My grandmother recently broke her toes and when the technician moved a spacer between her toes, she jumped. The woman did not ask if my grandmother was alright. Also the technicians did not ask us if we wanted tea or water. My grandmother noticed that the chairs massaged and told me about it. Keep in mind this was after they had started to work on our feet. Everyone was super friendly and did an amazing job on my full set and pedi. I'm always cautious about getting pedicures due to places not being so clean but this place was super clean and uses plastic liners in the pedicure tubs! Definitely worth the money! read more
