I gave lucy a shot all 2019. When I arrive for my appt it doesnt start on time. she normally has 3 or 4 other workers at the salon! When I arrive my appt doesnt start ON TIME even though I'm on time. They said ' we will be right with you' and That was 20 mins later. Their Hispanic and I believe its CRUCIAL for them to speak english. The workers. Short version: Do not come here!! If I could give this place less than one star I would. It was really dirty/overpriced and the workers were very rude and did a horrible job. My friend and I ended up having to redo the entire thing ourselves, what a waste of $60!! Detailed version: I made an appointment for two pedicures a few days in advance, and they called me the day before and changed the time on me without an explanation. I should have listened to my intuition when I had a bad feeling about going. When we got to the place, it was fairly empty with three workers. One motioned me over and I sat down. She said no more than two words to me throughout the entire pedicure. She had earphones in her ear and she also kept going on her phone in between doing my nails and socializing in Spanish about my friend and I with the worker next to me. I'd never had a nail technician listen to music and/or completely ignore me before. However, I felt way worse for a pregnant lady who had an appointment but ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes for a manicure because one of the workers was literally just dinking around doing nothing. Throughout the pedicure the technician (who wouldn't tell me her name) hurt my cuticles so much to the point where I grimaced and the lotion she put on my skin gave me a bad rash (I don't have sensitive skin, nothing like this ever happened to me). Not to mention the water that they used was dirty and the massage chairs extremely old. In the end, my toenails were really jagged and the polish was very uneven and streaky with a few smudges around my toenails. It was pretty clear the woman did not care about doing a good job. It was so bad that I just took the polish off and attempted to give myself a pedicure at home. Don't come here!!!! Too overpriced and filthy! read more

I came in as a walk-in to get my gel acrylics removed and replace them with just shellac, the technician took her time and really paid attention to detail. I liked my nails so much I decided to get my feet done too. I had been to a few other nail salons before this one and they had done total hack jobs, Lucy's did such a great job, I'm super happy and will be returning in the future. Thank you!! read more

After living in the Anchorage area for 2 years I've finally found a nail place that I love. I always see Nara but I've heard great things about Lucy. I've found that it is VERY expensive to get your nails done in Anchorage. Coming from southern Cali the price difference was a bit of a shock. Lucy's offers great nail services, friendly customer service, clean shop, and over all a relaxing ambiance. The prices are reasonable, not too high. After going somewhere else and paying over $200 for a full set (no gel) and 2 pedicures for an 8 year old and a 10 year old, I thought I'd have to put a hold on my nails until we move back to to the lower 48. But Lucy's won me over. I've never had to pay anywhere near those ridiculous prices here. Go see Nara read more

Sorry to have to post a more critical review than others. The service here was okay, but took a long time. I arrived 15 min early for my scheduled appt (gel mani and the most basic regular pedi), and they got me right back. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes for my service. The pedicure was nice, and the paint job turned out well. They have a nice selection of colors. My biggest complaint is that my nail artist did not use cuticle oil for softening up the tissue prior to removing it, so it was actually quite painful on my hands and she snipped part of my skin and I was bleeding. On the manicure, I would just say there was a lack of attention to detail as I had to ask several times to redo the shape of French tips. It may have just been an off day for the young nail artist, but that is an honest review of my experience. It is probably the best price for nails in Anchorage that I have found however. Bottom line, recommend for pedicure, but not manicure. read more

Lucy ain't no joke she puts time, love and her passion into each set. Love love love her and her work! The salon is clean, chic and she works with your schedule to get you in.
