I strongly recommend Ivy is Awesome, I've been a customer for several years now. I tried other locations before I found this establishment. Friendly folks, always willing to listen and share her stories with me. Great place to build a rapport with a consistent nail and pedicure business. She always repeat customers and tries to schedule appointments for the customers convenience. Definitely avoiding overbooking read more

Ivy is the best! Unlike other nail bars where they're just trying to get you in and out as fast as possible, Ivy takes her time and actually cares about her customers. $45 gel pedicure great deal!! read more

This place just wasn't for me. Ive been looking for a place near home and they had the best reviews. I walked in and wanted to turn around because I felt like I was intruding. There were two people working-a lady taking care of a customer and a man watching a game. He got up to take care of me as I thought of excuses to leave....but I couldn't think of a way to leave. Anyway my toes were painted and I had a swipe of a massage for $25. No offers of anything else,., read more

I came here after work cause of the reviews. I been to a lot of nail places, and this is okay. The lady is really nice and speaks English well. I got Nexgen and they didnt have a lot of colors to choose from. I like nudes. Most of their options were darks or brights. I opted for tips and coffin shape. The lady was sweet and very gentle but the end results was okay. My nails were more square and "duck tail" looking than slim and coffined. I didnt want to keep nagging her to slim it down or file it more cause she was almost finish. Price is same as anywhere else (even the higher end places I go too). I disliked the bulkiness of my nail shape so much I cut them down and filed it myself. Looks better. I didnt want to leave a mediocre score but I got mediocre results. read more

Nail Tek is around the corner from my house and I've been going here for years. It is kind of a dive, but they do decent work. My favorite nail tech here is Kay (she gets 5 stars, but I'm not just reviewing her). She does an incredible leg/foot and arm/hand massage. Her paint job is also always impeccably neat and lasts forever. We keep it old school simple without the designs. The other techs are not as thorough, but make an appointment or it is unlikely you will get Kay. The regulars know she is the one to request and we all make appointments. I always have her do both my hands and feet. It annoys me to have two or three people working on my nails at the same time. It makes me feel rushed. What I really dislike about Nail Tek is the noise. They always have the radio (with commercials...not satellite radio) AND the TV on. The TV is usually playing a Vietnamese soap opera. I am very sensitive to noise, and having these two conflicting sounds KILLS the spa experience. They really need to pick one, get satellite radio, or play spa type CD's. Bring cash for your tip because they won't allow you to add it to your credit card. Also, this place has a 'store dog' named Jayden. I think he is adorable, but if a dog at the nail salon is going to bother you then this is not a good place to go. read more

Came to this nail salon as it was near by, my usual tech was really busy due to the holidays so this was perfect for me. Ivy did such a great job, she was very nice and sweet and had great customer service. It was very peaceful and was done very quickly. Would definitely recommend:) read more

Under New Ownership! Evelyn and Ivy are AMAZING. Honestly, I've had my nails done in Philly for over 12 years and moving back to Dallas, I was a bit worried where I would be able to go. I found Nail Tek in YelpLand and headed over around 6ish on a lonely Thursday night. Their hours were marked until 6pm. Bummer. I walked away, and then Evelyn opened the door to see what I needed. I only wanted a manicure and she said it was no problem. I asked for a possible pedi as well and still, no problem. Wait, I asked,....do you take credit card? Again, no problem. I sat in the pedi chair with Evelyn at my feet and Ivy at my hands and we had a great time. They're very chatting and so nice and welcoming. They just bought the place from the previous owner and are pretty excited to get the place going. Total Cost for pedi and mani $32 Pros: Great Price Comprehensive Waxing services Great Customer Service Take Credit Card Clean/Sterile Cons: Potentially Limited Hours read more

I love that Ivy goes over and beyond her care for her customers. She's amazing! She takes care of my in-grown toe nails and gives me advise on how to help maintain my feet...not just toes! Very warm and genuine person. Love her!!! read more

Worst nail shop ever. Please do not waste your time. I used to go there a couple of years ago, and stopped because Ivy never "had time" even though the store was always empty. Recently I decided to try Nail T Tek again since it's close to my house. I walked in (again to an empty store) at 1:25pm on a Wednesday. Ivy was rummaging through her bag and there were two guys (one was her husband) watching tv in the corner. I asked Ivy if I could get my nails done, and she said she "didn't have time" with no elaboration or follow up time suggestion. So I further asked when she would possibly have time, and she replied "I don't know, maybe 5:30pm". She didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered. So I left. I instead went to Dallas Nail Bar and Spa on Beltline and Preston and was helped by Sunny. Best customer experience ever. He was awesome and did great work. I highly recommend him... Ivy, not so much. read more

Evelyn was so nice! She took me, a walk-in, 15 mins before close on an icy snow day. (I thought they were open till 7 but they close at 5 on Sundays) She did an amazing job with my nails and even took the time to answer any and all of my questions. I don't remember he name of the woman who waxed my eyebrows but also a wonderful experience, considering she was ripping the hair off my face. :) I will definitely be back in to see Evelyn but maybe not so close to closing time. I recommend this place 100%! Clean, friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I came to Nailteck because the reviews seemed very good. I was very surprised by the cleanliness of the nail salon .... and also the mess. My pedicure was executed very superficially, my acrylic filling too, nothing exceptional For the price to pay. read more

They were super kind, professional and welcoming. My nail tech even offered some new colors based on the conversation she heard between my girlfriend and I. The pedicure was really good and the foot massage relieved the tension in my ankles and legs. I will definitely be coming back and recommend this salon. read more

Walked in at 5 o'clock and they told me they didn't have time so they told me to leave. Knowing the place closes at 7. Very disappointed

This is one of the best kept secrets in the area. Ivey, her sister and husband are very professional and FRIENDLY! I adore them and Ivey is extremely knowledgable about the care of nails and skin. I have gotten great tips from Ivey that works well. My friend is a "nail salon snob" but decided to try the salon out after hearing how pleased I was and she immediately loved the service and Ivey. read more

I enjoyed myself here. Walked right in about 10 till 6 and got taken care of right away. There was another person there but she was just about done. The younger lady spoke very good English and talked to me about taking care of my nails. She suggested a powder dip no color with color polish over. It looks very nice and natural. The decor is a little bare and it's in a small strip mall next door to a laundry mat. Very small. Overall I like my nails and I also had a color change on my toe nails and my polish job is great. Now a days it's hard to even get a decent toe nail job. I'll be back here, the service is good and prices are reasonable not to mention she did a great job. I can do without the frills of wine and tequila spa pedicures. read more

Really love this nail salon! They are patient and give you exactly what you want! They have variety of colors so you'll never have to worry about shortage of colors! I've been going there for about 7 years now! read more

I've been coming to Ivy for over a year & she's awesome. Her prices are very reasonable & she always has time available. Ivy has worked on repairing my toenails which have been damaged from running races. She has saved all of them & they actually look normal. She's a miracle worker on resolving ingrown toenails as well. I'd recommend Ivy to anyone. read more

The new owners are great! This salon is clean, the staff are friendly, and they did a wonderful job on my pedicure. The location is very convenient for me, and I will definitely go again. read more

I've been getting pedicures here for a few years now and the service has always been wonderful. The staff here is very friendly and always does a great job on my pedicures. I got gel nails done before I went on vacation last year and one nail had a bubble in it, I came back the next day and they apologized profusely and fixed it in about 5 minutes at no charge. This is the only nail salon I will ever go to in the Dallas area. read more

I have been to so many different salons.... by far THE BEST! Amazing customer service and Ivy did my nails exactly like I wanted, they are flawless!!! I have found my forever salon. Would not send anyone to any salon but NAIL TEK !!!!! read more

We found this shop by accident when we moved back to TX from VA in late 2012. What a gem of a discovery! My mom is elderly and suffers from ingrown toenails that sometimes make walking or having any pressure on her toes painful. Ivy (co-owner with her sister Evelyn) took care of mom, explaining that she specialized in ingrown toenails as she suffers from the same thing. Mom's feet were especially sensitive that day, but Ivy took care of her with minimal discomfort and mom just about wept with relief when the pedi was done. Not because the pedi was difficult but because she could now put weight on her feet without the pain. Since that day we always go back to Ivy and Evelyn for our pedicures. If you have ingrown toenails be sure to ask for Ivy, you will be very relieved and out of pain. read more

My husband and I started going to Nail Tek over a year ago when we couldn't get a good pedicure anywhere else without them huring our feet. I told Ivy, one of the owners, that when we came in the first time, and she said, "You came to the right place!" She said she specializes in removing ingrown toenails without hurting you. And she was right! Her and her sister Evelyn are both so sweet and so good and we always enjoy going there to get our "Happy Feet!" I highly recommend Nail Tek. :-) read more
