I don't often go out to get mani/pedis - after the years of (eww) fungus reports, I just felt it wasn't worth the risk. I have all the tools to do it myself & like changing my nail color too often, anyway. But I have been reading about the new requirements to keep us safe and my niece invited me along to celebrate my sister's birthday, so I couldn't say no. So I made the drive to Carrollton and was welcomed by a very friendly staff when I entered. The poster on the door clearly states that masks are required and all staff wore masks the entire time. Times are getting a little more lax and I will admit I was happy when they told us we 3 could remove ours since we were all sitting together. The staff kept theirs on the entire time. The shop was very clean, no debris on the floor and chairs were in good shape. I especially LOVED the dividers!! You can be totally in your own space by simply pulling forward these very nice dividers. Perfect! We selected our colors, which were right up front in the sun - I was a little worried about that, aren't they supposed to be kept in a cool, dark place? Anyway, I found a great tealish-aqua color and we sat down in comfy chairs. My tech turned on my massage unit and my back was beginning to feel relaxed right away! They had quickly filled our 'tubs' with some squishy stuff in hot water. I forgot what they said it was, but it was nice. Only negative mark is that although my niece made an appointment for the three of us, we were not served at the same time. I was taken care of 1st and almost finished before my sister & niece were started. I think it's important for us all to be enjoying our experience at the same time and not just sitting waiting. I didn't count off a star for that though, due to the fact that the staff interacted with us & made us feel special - plus we were so chatty, it was noticeable that some were waiting but not our entire focus. My tech spoke very little, which was fine, we were very chatty with each other. She was pleasant & professional and never made me feel uncomfortable in the slightest. My feet looked amazing and she made sure my massager was working and that I had water to drink. MY sister's tech was very chatty - super friendly, lots of laughter between us all. The main lady (owner, maybe?) spoke to us, joked with us, very friendly person, really made us feel as if our business is appreciated and that matters a great deal to me, because there are so many options out there. We definitely felt special - hence the 5 stars. A couple of regulars were across the way & added their suggestions for which pedi to order, so fun! I chose the Spearmint/CBD. Not sure what I was expecting, lol, but it was refreshing! Great time, great pedi, great atmosphere! Worth the drive if you don't live nearby! read more

I read the reviews before getting my nails done but still gave it a try since it was the closest to my house. I asked for gel and she completely did the opposite to charge me more. When I first came here, I asked for acrylic nails. The nail tech insisted that I get dip, even though I've never had dip, nor did I want it. I asked for acrylic. After that she brought the manager over, the owner insisted that I get dip. Only after putting the dip on my fingers did they inform me that there's no fill-ins and you have to get it redone every time. I do not have time for that, tbh. After a week while on vacation, my nails popped off one by one as if they were press ons. When I returned and when I finally have some time, I called the djop and spoke to the owner. I told her what happened. She said ok. Come in at 4pm and I'll have her--original nail tech fix them. When I arrived, their entire attitudes changed. All of a sudden my nail tech had a client and the owner ended up "fixing my nails" they were very rude and dismissive. The owner outright told me she didn't believe me. She was very aggressive and snatching my fingers. I told her not only did I need my nails fixed, but I needed the others done as well. She got indignant and told me she wasn't going that. I told her fine, take them all off. Now if it was a matter of paying for my 4 nails to get fixed, she should've said that. Bc I didn't mind paying $140 plus tip when I originally got them done. But she didn't. She just flat out said she's not doing it. She took them off, but again not listening to me as I asked her to just use the drill and cut them off. She insisted that I soak them off.. again wasting time that I did not have. Eventually I went to the nail salon across the street which was much more accommodating. They explained that sometimes when you go to hotter climates the oils from your nails cause your nails to lift.. you'd think as an owner who has been doing nails for 25 years she'd know this. But obviously not and instead proceeded to call me a liar. I will never come to this shop again and honestly, I do think there was some racial biases going on. Owner is very nasty. read more

The foot soak turns into a squishy gel that I loved soaking in. It's a bit more expensive than the regular spa pedicure. French is still $5 more. Expensive and very sloppy work. My original nail place closed during pandemic so I thought I will give this a try. As you can see in the picture that the work is not neat. There prices were already $15 more than my old place but they charged me extra to clean my feet of dead skin... isn't that the whole point of pedicure? I think I lot of people are looking for an alternative spa and ended up coming here. They started on my feet 45 minutes after my appointment and that was also after I told them I can't wait any longer. They are too busy and cannot handle the demand and do sloppy work. I've been here a few times to get pedicures and full sets. I'm generally enjoyed the services but this last week when I went not so much. The tech guy did my nails he was new normally one of the seasoned women in the shop take care of it, if I decide to go back I will not make that mistake again. He cut my nails really short, making them look like my natural nails which is not what I was going for. He filed the crap out of them and my nails literally hurt when I left as well as the next day. I have scabs on multiple of my cuticles because of how rough he was after I kept saying ouch. I asked him to clean under my nail beds, he stated he would after he did my nails. This business has so many sanitation violations and cleanliness the owner does not care there is dust from ceiling to floor in inches all over tables and plants inside very dirty seating area bowls needing to be cleaned. They are very rude talking about you to your face and they cut my cuticle and didn't even say sorry or offer A Band-Aid. I would not recommend this business for anyone to visit anymore the state needs to come and have a visit. Hopefully this will stop today with change. I came in for nails an eyelash fill and I come out four 1/2 hours later when I was ten minutes early on time. I was left waiting for 35 minutes having to Listen to unprofessional conversations of racism rude comments. The owner is terrible to customers and her staff. I was so upset on the disgusting area inside nail dust flying in the air everywhere on things you sit on and use on your own nails. The smell in the place was horrible. Needs a detox cleaning on the floor and a mop. that you don't see when you first come in. I feel horrible for the people that have to work in those conditions. The owner does not care about how she ruins your nails by over filling. the owner is so rude she will sit there and argue rudely with customers and be very hasty and says some very rude racial comments and laughs about it with the staff. I live down the street from this place and have gotten a decent pedicure once before, came in another time for a fill only to be told they don't do acrylics. Now that my natural nails have grown out I have just been doing dip and figured I could start coming here instead of driving out of the area every few weeks. Never again. First off, she was too impatient to let the old dip soak off and was using a metal file on my NATURAL NAIL to remove it. It burned and was so uncomfortable. Next she trimmed my nails without any guide, so some are longer than others. She filed so much on one side of some nails that they are now crooked and pointing in a different direction. I am beyond frustrated because I don't have a removable tip I can just have someone replace and shape correctly, I just have to wait for my nails to grow out. She put no base coat under the white glitter so it's more translucent than it should be. Some of the edges are completely bare, where she didn't even touch them with product. And you would think you would get this kind of service from someone who was rushing, but it took over 1 hr 15 min, to where I had to stop her from starting more work so I could leave and walked out with acetone and dust still on my fingers. So I care in today with my wife for a pedicure and I got a really sweet lady who took her time. My wife was so jealous she didn't get mad at me for twitching when she got under my feet, I am super ticklish. She kept on working regardless of me looking like a hyena. My wife watched her work on me and kept texting me during the session saying how good she was. The reason that matters is because my wife used to do nails and knew who did a good and bad job. I go to this place all of the time and my nails always look amazing. I went a couple of days ago and the woman, Kimberley was doing my nails. She's worked there a while and I've seen her in previous years so she wasn't new. I asked for coffin shaped nails and she didn't know how to do them, so she had a coworker do them for her, but that coworker was already in the middle of working on another customer's nails so she had to hurry and do them. Before that, Kimberley was removing the Nexgyn and I was sitting there for a good 40 minutes with the foil and cotton balls around my nails to get the powder off. It never takes that long. She went extremely slow and I was nearly there for about 2 hours when in all actuality it should've been about an hour and fifteen minutes, at the latest, an hour and thirty minutes. She was also doing my cuticles and she cut them back so far to the point of bleeding. I was getting two colors and I wanted the pink on my ring fingers and the blue-green on the rest of the fingers. She put the blue on my ring finger so I had to change which finger I was doing the pink on. She tried to refile my nails and they ended up being so sharp that when I scratched myself by accident it cut me and it stung. It was a very unpleasant experience and I paid $37 dollars for something I didn't even want. I am definitely not having Kimberley do my nails ever again. I take care of a large house and a seven and three year old. To the person who, in a somewhat racist rant, was unhappy with the language spoken, I dare you to go to another country, leaving your families etc. And speak their language. Instead of being so unbelievably 1950 perhaps it would be more productive to spend your time helping people to learn the language you speak, poorly. I believe you are the problem and most likely never the solution.. I went for my appointment today, after having cancelled and rescheduled several times. Lynn, ALWAYS professional and unfailingly pleasant, greeted me and immediately went me over to my usual nail tech, Jason. Great nails and a lovely young man. Next, new for me here in Texas, eyelash extensions. I've had them in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, New York and Las Vegas, and Jenny did a FABULOUS set of lashes at half the price. Lina is the best nail tech I've ever had!! I have never had a problem with my nails since I've been going to her. I always get the dip powder (Nexgen). She shapes them perfectly in any style I ask for but she knows I like them to look natural. She's quick but thorough and very gentle. This is the best place in town! Lynn the owner, is an artist and keeps up with all the newest techniques. She is great at helping pick colors to go with your skin tone and taste. They have super nice pedicure chairs! Prices are great for high quality work. They offer regular manicures, gel and powder in ever possible color! Jason is my nail tech and he is wonderful to work with. 1st does a good job every appointment and I appreciate the professional way Lynn runs this business. Never any problems waiting for my appointment as she doesn't overbook. Jason's work is great but if I did have a problem with the work I have no doubt that he would adjust it to suit my needs. This week I had eyelash extensions done really well. I have had them many times in other places and the result with this lash experience was excellent. The manager is awesome and is always welcoming. Yet, my technician was aloof and talked on the phone (constantly texting) while attending to my nails. In addition, she was promoting a facial procedure in which I stated "no thank you", she persisted until her told her that my skin looked great and healthy and did not want to ruin my routine. The male technician is very professional but was getting a bit lax in his performance and artistry. I went there for a year and always left great tips but finally decided to call it quits due to a decline of craftsmanship and demeanor of some of the technicians. read more

This location is close to my house & I was in dire need of a pedicure so I figured I would try it out. When I walked in I was greeted immediately, and asked what I needed help with. I wanted to get nexgen on my hands w/ tips & a pedicure. They had me choose from a large selection of colors, and quickly sat me down with Kimberly who would be doing my pedicure. She asked me what type of pedicure I wanted and brought out the menu to let me pick. I chose cucumber because it's summer & it sounded refreshing (for my feet lol) Michelle was the young lady who did my nails. I let her know I wanted coffin shaped nails and she did an excellent job. She really took her time to perfect the shape, and make sure that all my nails were even. Kimberly did an incredible job on my pedicure, 10/10 would recommend anyone to come to this location. All the ladies were super friendly, and they made me feel comfortable. They do accept walk ins but I would call ahead just to make sure they're not busy. It was very overwelming. There was alot of people..I really enjoy a glass of wine...or two while I'm getting a mani/peti...this was so rushed that I had no time to enjoy it. There were children there... it was just alot for a first time. I'm looking for a regular place I can go every two weeks, relax, have a glass of wine and get my nails done. Michelle did a GREAT job on my toes, but I was twisted and uncomfortable at the nail desk while they did my fill on my nails. The nails are perfectly acceptable and so are my toes.
