I was surprised to see the low overall rating, but, after reading through, I think it's mostly due to old reviews. I have a good experience here and would recommend this nail salon to most people. Nina and Jeff, the kids of the owners, are both very talented. Nina especially is in high demand, and I would book her 1 month+ in advance if you have a tight schedule. They're very accommodating and realistic with designs, and I would recommend booking with either of them! The price is also very reasonable and one of the best you can get in the area. I have to dock a star though because the polish tends to chip much faster than other places. I'm lucky if I can get the gel to stay fully intact longer than 1-1.5 weeks, when I would expect 2-2.5. However, the artistry of the workers here is good enough that I would recommend coming back. They're also open to walk-ins and generally nice people. This is definitely the best nail salon I've found for design in the area. read more

Standard nail salon ambiance. Unfortunately below standard service. I don't know if the staff were trying to be rude or they're normally a bit aloof. read more

Jeff was my nail tech. I asked for reassurance because I'm new to the city and I guess that ticked him off. So he becomes extremely passive aggressive. He unprovoked let me know he wasn't racist because his sister in law is Jamaican. I was confused. Either way...DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! read more

I've been comming here for about a year now and i couldn't be happier. Jeff is my nail tech and he never disappoints! always on time ,so kind and his attention to detail is unmatched. As a super busy gym girlie I abuse my nails when I tell you the RETENTION! best nails out there read more

The vibe was off! Do not recommend ! I like to sit in silence not do a bunch of talking when I get my nails done !

Booked my appointment FULLY expecting a luxury experience only to be met with, upon coming to my appointment, a passive aggressive attitude from the staff. Completely ruined my experience at the shop. I felt targeted and discriminated against. I also believe that slick comments about the way my hands looked and appearance in general were made behind my back. The environment felt hostile and I will NEVER be coming back, nor will I suggest anyone come to this place as well. read more

I found this hidden gem and they are amazing. my nails last long they accommodate any design and shape. the products are wonderful.

Went to Nail Studio 2 for the first time and had a great experience. Nina did a new set of acrylics with designs and Sandra handled my gel pedicure. The service was efficient and fast without feeling rushed. Nina's work on my nails was high quality - the designs weren't super intricate but they came out really well and clean. Sandra's pedicure was straightforward and done right, nothing fancy but exactly what I wanted. Everyone there was super nice and made me feel welcome. The whole vibe was relaxed and professional. Will definitely be back. read more

Upon entering this ghetto establishment I was met with extremely hostile energy and weird looks. Then one of the guys would be rough and yank my hands . He'd even push my cuticle back so far blood was drawn , later resulting in nail fungus I either got from their nail polish or their nail equipment. Regardless I would not go here if u value ur health . They seriously need to learn how to be professional and clean . DO NOT GO HERE SAVE YOURSELF!!!! read more

I've been coming here for at least 15 years and I've always had great service. Nancy is my favorite nail professional. She does an awesome job with the shape and designs. Her daughter Nina is excellent with her work as well she keeps everyone's nails looking trendy and stylish. I can't forget about the pedicures, I will not go anywhere else for them! This is why I highly recommend Nail Studio! read more

I always leave so happy with my nails. Go to Jeff he is so talented and so fun to talk to!

If you're going to this place i recommend Nina 100% she is sweet and knows what's she's doing. Nails are symmetrical and last 3-4 weeks. Fairly prices as well. Her designs are amazing read more

Very rude service & people ! Kate is very rude ! Yes she does good work but she has very bad customer service ! Not worth the money !! This nail Salon don't help the community but take the money , it's not worth the service . Unclean had no tissue . Not abiding by the COVID regulations . read more

I am not a person to give a business a bad review. But my experience here just had to be shared. I usually get my nails done at a different location, but I forgot to make an appointment & knew they would be super busy. I drove by Nail Studio & saw that there wasn't many ppl so I decided to stop & give it a try. BIG MISTAKE!! I waited about an hour which I didn't mind because there was a person in front of me. When it came to my turn I specifically told the "OWNER" who was doing my nails that I wanted them SQUARED! She didn't even let me finish explaining what I wanted & proceeded. When she finished filing one of my hands I noticed my nails were not squared but coffin shaped. At that moment I told her that was not I what I had asked for, but she continued filing as if I wasn't sitting in front of her. Long story short my nails came out disgusting. I did not complain, because I just wanted to get out. But NAIL STUDIO PLUS will NEVER see my face again ! I will let my pictures speaks for themselves. These pictures were taken immediately after my visit, after I left and got in my car. Not sure how the other techs are, but if you go there AVOID THE OWNER AT ALL COST !! read more

Nail Studio 2 - Wedding nails - Nail Salons Near Me - North Brunswick, New Jersey

I got tips and I used the color powder. 2 nails broke the NEXT day. I went somewhere else to not only fix the 2 nails but file off the color powder and put gel on them. (I guess the color powder wasn't enough to keep the tip on which is why they broke so easily. Little did I know the powder is suppose to be used as nail polish on TOP of Real nails!!! Why didn't they tell me that, I have no idea and then has the nerve to charge me 55.00 smh. I didn't even go back to get them fixed. The only reason I have them 2 stars is because the technician DID make my nails look nice and shaped them exactly how I wanted, even the new place I went to to fix them said she did a really good job but should have told me I needed something (acrylic or gel) to put under the powder color. read more

Nina ROCKS! She's the only nail tech who does 3D designs! I let her chose the color and designs

I don't understand why this place has 4-1/2 stars. She doesn't listen to the customer at all. She's so busy telling me about the price for extensions. She completely dismissed my request NOT to use the machine to remove the existing gel. I told her I wasn't in a rush and didn't mind waiting. She lied and said let me file it down a little bit. No problem. She filed it down, dipped it in acetone for 3 seconds while she field a few other nails and return to filing the gel off of the same nails. I walked out. read more

Horrible service. My nails were done by the owner. My nails came out horrible. I told her to put gel over my acrylics so that I wouldn't have to wait. She understood. I then see her putting a clear thing on my nails (nothing they have is labeled or authentic) so I asked what that is and she said clear top coat.. waited for them to dry took 30+ minutes. The top coat they out on kept wrinkling every time I go to dry it. She said it was normal but she had to fix them all about 2-3 times because of how bad it looked. I got stones put on my nails. I should her a picture and told her I need bigger stones because my nails are very long. She said yes you right. But when it comes time for the stones she has them picked out and they are the littlest stones ever. Also 4 stones that are so small they're almost invisible cost $5 per nail!!! The color options they have are just horrible. Old,cheap and fake name brands. As I continued to go and pay she wanted to charge me $5 for the gel that she never even put on my nails!!! She sat at the register for 5 minutes screaming at me. I then told her that you can't scam people into paying for services that were never SERVED. I left with all acrylic on my skin and under my nails. She was rude the whole session and caused a lot of pain to my nails with the way she not only files but by the way she kept picking at the acrylic. Every time I come here the prices go up. Every time I come to this 'business' it's filthy. Peoples nail clipping all over the tables and floor. (I also always comes in the morning when it should be the cleanest.) and another thing is her phone kept ringing the whole entire time. And I'll be ok with that but every time it beeped or rang she completely stopped everything she was doing to answer it. I was there yesterday from 9am till 11:35am with the owner doing my nails. Not one other customer came in between those times. And normally when you're done getting a fill in they put oil on your cuticles or lotion on your hands... that wasn't done. I could see the business is crumbling. read more

This nail salon is the absolute worse !!! My toes nails looks like an 2 year old painted them with cheap nail polish. Then the nails, whew Chile, where to start with that. After less than the first week of getting them done, they were lifting, ALL OF THEM. I went to get them fixed she fixed one hand, another week passes & my left hand was missing three nails & my right hand nails (the nails she fixed) were lifting AGAIN. I went back and was fed up, she had me waiting almost two hours then argued with me that it wasn't her fault the nails was lifting and that I waited too long to come back. This is the owner of the store that did my nails & because I no longer wanted her services because of how poor of a job she was doing, she didn't want to give me my refund. Don't go to the owner if you go, she's always wearing a blue cover thing, sitting in the front. read more

I came here and the woman who did my manicure and pedicure didn't speak English. I asked her politely to cut my ingrowns out of my big toes and she nodded her head and continued to cut my cuticles. She didn't clip my toenails, I had to ask her to. As she was about to polish my nails and finish up, I asked her again to cut my ingrowns. She nodded her head and cut my cuticles again instead. I tried to show her by pointing to my toes and she still didn't understand. So my ingrowns weren't cut out. To top it off, she had an attitude problem even though I was polite to her. If you are performing a service, you can't get an attitude with the customer if they make a simple request, which is already supposed to be a part of the service. Onto my manicure, she cut my nails all a different length and filed them crooked. One hand is squared and the other is rounded. Same with my toes. My 3 year old niece could've done a better job. When she polished them, the polish went on uneven, bumpy and all over my cuticles. No one understands English there or they pretend not to, so complaining was useless. They claim to close at 7 but they had the door locked with a chain by 6. I tried calling after I left to talk to someone and the phone rang with no voicemail option. I didn't want to tip her, but I always tip. She got a tip, but not a good one. Flys we're flying around inside too. Dirty place. Don't go here read more

I'm literally sitting in this chair for the THIRD TIME in two days fixing a gel manicure I got here! The lady doing my nails, although she doesn't speak much English is really nice and I don't really blame her. She doesn't know what she's doing and instead of them training her and making sure she can do the job, she's getting her practice on at the expense of me sitting here for a 3rd time. It's unfair. The woman in the first chair who I'm guessing is the owner is rude and disrespectful. She makes no eye contact when she speaks, is mad rude when she does open her mouth and is insanely unprofessional. She really made me want to come out of character today and curse her out but were would that leave me? With my nails still jacked up and being kicked out. They are buzzing gel polish off my nails, not even soaking them. I'm too thru. The only reason I came back is that I paid $30 to get my damn nails painted and refuse to to not Chuck it up as a loss. This is the first and last time I will ever come here. Please save your money and give it to nail techs and a business that will respect you and get your money Worth. They're horrible here! read more

I have heard of this place, and I decided to go, I went and they attended me right away, I told her how I wanted my nail, I wanted them thin and square, the lady was done with my nails in at least 15 mins, they were all different lengths and no where near thin, I was not satisfied at all, and the place did not look clean, and my nails had all came off in a week, this was the worst experience I have ever encountered with getting a full set, I will not ever recommend this place to anyone read more
