Decided to come to this place even with the current mixed reviews. This place is actually bigger in the inside and it's located in a little mini mall. I made my appt online for just a basic pedicure, I didn't need anything fancy. So far everyone was friendly. I was greeted when I arrived and was shown to the booth bath chair as soon as I picked my polish. From the looks of this place, it would make a cute spot for a girls day or maybe even for a bridal party to get their nails done. The basic pedicure allows you to pick a scent for the foot scrub (I chose lavender), foot massage, hot stone massage (in my opinion wasn't very hot). The water was hot but that was fine for me since I like my water like that, but could be a problem for someone else. While I waited for my polish to dry I also got a light shoulder massage that was nice. I can say that if you're coming in for a basic pedicure, this place is great. I would recommend to others to try them out. I can't speak for manicures or how well they design them but i may come back to try it out. read more

Oh wow, I went here at the beginning of August and I was able to get the seasonal cucumber and aloe spa... all I can say is wow! It is so refreshing and perfect for summer. They use real cucumbers and they are so cooling and the effect was so relaxing. I was feeling great. Olivia did a great job with my pedicure and Stefanie did amazing with my UV gel fill-in manicure. This nail salon NEVER disappoints! Previous review: I always have a great experience at Luxi. They have a wide variety of nail services/treatments and polish colors. Yes, you pay for anything extra and why shouldn't you? You get what you pay for and after a year of coming here and seeing multiple different nail techs I can honestly say I haven't had a bad experience yet. My new go-to manicure is the "Gel Builder Set" it is a bit thicker than regular gel polish and has really helped my nails grow. Before getting this done they would always crack at a certain length but now I can enjoy long nails and have the added bonus of knowing it's technically my natural nail! Other services I've done: Apres Gel X set- this is great if you need a nail enhancement quick. It's a gel based fake nail system where the nail is already shaped (there is a wide range of sizes and shapes to choose from) so all your tech has to do is fuse it to your natural nail with a gel product and paint your nails with gel polish. I really love this service for its convenience and the nails look beautiful, however you can't get fill ins so if you want mail enhancements continuously this can get really expensive (and ends up costing you time because the old set needs to be removed to put on a new set). With that said these babies do not fall off, I had one fall off in the three times I've had this service done and I was long overdue for a nail appointment at that point! Gel pedicure- pretty standard here, the techs do a great job though, I've never had any issues with chipping or feeling uncomfortable. You do get complimentary massage and you can add on more mins (there is an extra fee) if you want to really relax! All pedicures come with your choice of scent: pomegranate, green tea or lavender. Gel polish manicure- same as above, standard and similar to any other place, however the quality seems to be elevated here. I do not believe they thin their nail polishes like most other salons do, which makes for a clean gel manicure/pedicure with no bubbles or early chips. I've had issues with other places where a weird film appears on my manicure and it looks dirty, that doesn't happen here because it's GREAT QUALITY workmanship and products. Jelly spa Pedi- there are so many fun pedicures to choose from for a more "spa" experience. I chose the jelly because I was really intrigued and wanted to try something new. It was different! A fun experience and something I'm not really sure how to explain, but definitely relaxing. You may not like it If you don't like to feel different textures on your feet and toes. Callus treatment- a little extra cost but worth it especially to get smooth for summer Nail repair- again, a little extra cost but worth the money! Not only can they repair a nail that has a small rip in it, a nail tech has also built a nail for me when I had a broken nail that was shorter than the others! It is now under my builder gel set and has lasted over a month, and still going strong! Definitely check out Luxi if you get the chance, you won't regret it. Beautiful, clean spa- much much better experience just as soon as you walk in compared to others around the area. Staff on the phone was super accommodating to our last minute request and super welcoming. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and no strong smell of polish like we usually experience other places. We got a classic pedicure, and our appointment was right on the dot at 6, which they were timely with. Manager was extremely friendly and made sure our first visit was one to remember. Service is nice and people are kind but it's not a good nail place imo. I think there's a difference in quality though, my lady was not that great at both the spa or polish. I paid about $100 for Mani pedi, regular polish. They charged for cutting the nails and shaping, and do not do any cuticle work. The shapes are not even. For color I wanted a regular dark polish base with a thick french in mani-- something I've had done before, at a better place. This came out awful. She even tried to fix it but just globbed on more white, instead of taking it off and redoing it so.. it eventually peeled off within the hour after leaving. She also did not wait for it to dry so applied the top coat and there are white streaks on the nails, she tried to fix it and wait but got impatient so it was just left like that. The French, and some of the base polish did not reach the ends of the nails. It literally just looks like I did it myself. French coated $8 more... Which was not worth it. I would say the shape of the nail and filing is also not of good quality- not even on the same nail, not consistent on all nails. (And they charged 5$ for "short shape" nail) Pedi shapes were also not even. See pics and judge for yourself. I like the vibe and people. But not too big on the cleanliness -- lady literally cleaned the floor and didn't change her gloves before beginning the Pedi. And I wouldn't spend that kind of money here again just for nice service and ambiance. It's poor quality, I wish I had time to go get this redone at a better place. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. There used to be another nail salon across the road on Elizabeth Avenue that I made appointments with online. I made an appointment online got the confirmation confirmed with the place and they told me that they changed names. So when I didn't show up for this appointment, the owner of the place called me and said he was going to charge me the $55 when I explained to him I was not aware that the other place changed their name he basically refused to Refund me the $55. I have been a loyal and consistent customer for over 2 years. Something has changed. They've become greedy. Nail prices are higher than most places. Paying higher for quality is worth it. I spent $200 on my at last visit, including the tip. The cute beads I asked for fell off after 1 day. The receptionist told me I'd have to pay and there's no guarantee to customers. I disagreed with having to pay for the repair. It had only been 1 day. It's been 2 weeks since this day. I just tried to make an appointment and the receptionist just told me my account is blocked and the owner will call me. He never called. Where is the loyalty? I had a nice experience here at Luxi salon. My memory is not serving me well lately if I don't write things down, so forgive me as I have misplaced the name of my nail tech, but she was very pleasant and did a great job. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is because I felt rushed in the beginning of my visit. It is a great thing to have so many color options to pick from, but not if you can't get a few minutes to decide! I suggest coming about 10 mins early to your visit just to browse and make an informed decision lol. This place is run like a very well oiled machine... which may give a not so intimate experience, but I'm not one for a lot of small talk during my pampering time, so.. it actually works for me. I got the regular mani and regular pedi which gave a nice experience. I would have liked a little more time with my feet in that very comfy spa, but I get it... time is money. I really liked this salon, but their work is inconsistent. Sometimes they do a great job on my pedicure but give me a terrible gel manicure, or the other way around. And they're always adding extra charges for things like a single nail design for $10 or basic French which is another $20-$25. I'm not saying up-charges shouldn't exist, but it's a lot more than it should be, especially when the techs don't all know how to do designs or French. The place is clean, but some of the techs have weird habits, like using bottle caps of the alcohol bottle to clean their tools and then use the same top to dip a cotton ball to clean my nails- it's actually pretty disgusting. It's frustrating because I used to love coming here to relax and get my nails done, but lately, I leave feeling stressed and disappointed. I've reviewed before, but felt the need to review again, because they just keep getting better! Jeffrey ensures your experience meets and exceeds your expectations each time. You really feel like they care about their clients. I get my dip manicures from Mercy and my pedicures from Rosa. Everyone is so nice, welcoming and attentive. I can't say enough about this place. I've been going consistently since April, and this is the only nail salon who took the time to explain how to help me grow my nails naturally. My regular manicures last a week before they chip. Today is actually the first time in about six months that I couldn't get the appointment time I wanted, but they DID fit me in to the schedule. Very much appreciated. I had one small issue with them a few weeks ago and I called as soon as I noticed and Jeffrey fixed it immediately. And today, I dropped my $20 bill and didn't realize until I went to pay--I asked if they had found it and yes, Jeffrey had it separately under the register. One of the employees found it and turned it in. My daughter is 3 and she loves to join me here for her "pretty nails" once a month. You will NOT be disappointed here. Also wanted to get a gift card for upcoming B-day for facial, w/ nail & pedicure, but never got that far. Kind & pleasant lady at first greeted me on phone, but then transf. call to Kim to schedule appts. Kim insisted on credit card info. & email to book appts. I didn't want to use the credit option & told her I'd rather pay cash for everything. She refused cash & said she would not book appts. w/o card on file. We were left w/o appt. & given the option to walk in at the risk of waiting for availability or get turned away. I also tried to call the business again to speak to a more caring or competent person to rectify, but Kim instead kept blocking calls to prevent contact. My boyfriend and I came here before Valentine's Day for a pedicure and we ordered a callus remover for him. The lady that did his pedicure used some form of grater to cut down the callus and ended up cutting him on both feet. He says that it's painful to walk and the cuts are so deep. My family are nai technicians and informed me that using tools like that are illegal (especially in NJ) because of chances of infection. read more

Been going here for about 7-8 years now and still loving everything about this place. Jeff the owner runs quite the spa and is always backed up by his wonderful wife. It truly is a diamond in the ruff. Everything is always organized and clean. I can't remember the last time I had to wait longer then when I booked my appointment. Employees are always friendly and amazing at what they do. I moved to Flemington but the 35min drive is still worth it since nothing else is comparable in the area. I needed some me time and pampering while visiting NJ this week. I found this salon on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Hands (and feet) down one this was one of the most amazing mani/pedi experiences I have ever had. The atmosphere is super relaxing and the staff are amazing. The creams and scrubs are wonderful, and the hot rock massage was a very welcome addition. Terrible experience. They nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. If you ask for 2 colors they charge you. They claim to use superior products and I paid $7 more for some long lasting and the pictures below show the next morning. I never did any dishes or was rough at all on my hands. TURN N' BURN was the goal here. Pretty disappointed. I thought walking in it would've been a great experience for my appointment but it was rushed the ENTIRE time except for the paint (the only time she slowed down). Walked in 2 mins before the appointment & we're greeted promptly. Told to choose our color but two ladies were choosing their color so I had to wait a moment. As soon as I was able to get to the colors, an employee stood sort of in front of me and was staring at me the moment I picked up a color. Didn't say she'd be the one helping me or anything so I thought it was just weird I was being stared at. A mother/daughter duo were trying to pick their color but she was in their way, you could tell the mom was trying to get around the employee & it finally clicked that she should move out of the way. However, she moved right behind me so when I stepped back to take another look at the colors, I literally almost stepped on her she was that close. Just strange. Then I realized she was waiting for me & felt rushed to choose a color. I had only grabbed two colors so I wasn't there for longer than a minute & I was in my chair at 3:01 -- I recommend to get there 10 mins before your appointment time if you don't know what you want. The pedicure was so rushed and she kept looking towards the door like she had an appointment waiting on her, even though she was my appointment. The "massage" you could barely feel, the "scrub" was here & there..she didn't seem like she was physically present. Her mind was elsewhere like she wanted to jolt out the door. Small talk was a no go, I even asked if it's normal for people to rush & was ignored LOL Looking around, other people seemed to be getting a proper service. Even my wife's appointment went well, she was getting her lotion by the time I was almost done. I was upset the whole time so it wasn't relaxing. Beautiful space, a star for that & the paint job was good, a star for that... -3 stars for that "service". When we were done, she lifted my side table & stood there, didn't know why, she didn't say anything. Finally my wife asked what I was supposed to be doing & she finally said "over to dry"...again, rushed with the overbearing standing presence. And what was the rush for? She was sitting to learn about powder nail dip & was getting her nails sampled on either how to do it or what it looked like, not sure but she managed to get two nails ombré orange before the next victim of hers walked in. Too expensive! $162 not including tip for a Gel X application and a gel pedicure? $60 for a gel pedicure is insane!! And they added a $24 charge for an acrylic toe nail repair, she only did 2 toes!! She did not want to do all my toes insisted on only doing my big toe nails to add length and a square shape. $12 a toe are we crazy??? Too expensive for mediocre, rushed work!! I guess I should clarify that the effort that was put into the work felt rushed, even if the timing of my appointment was up to par with your standards. For the price I paid, which I believe to be above average, I expected better. I've paid less for better, and I've also paid more in my life with a past history of getting frequent Russian manicures. All of which were up to par with your prices, but included in depth cuticle care, and a manicure tailored personally to you by hand. I'm wondering where you get off saying I was happy when I left, did I have a huge smile on my face thanking everyone for their great service? I don't believe so. Came here for a mani& pedi with my daughter and it was the best experience. I usually don't bother with reviews but the foot massage was very good. Also, Myra did an amazing job carefully trimming my cuticles. Didn't push them in too hard or cut too deep, unlike most nail salons. She also shaped and painted my nails meticulously. One day I had a bad experience with a pedicure- turned out the person was new- and they gave me a discounted pedicure the next time I came in. Recently I have been making appointments with Angie with gel manicures. She always takes her time and has great attention to detail. I was a few minutes late I guess he thought so anyway considering I had just called about 15 minutes prior asking him if he could squeeze me in for an appointment...I needed 2 services a full set and a waxing done....I jumped in a car a headed straight over to the place....So I'm not sure what he considered late....when I asked him if I could use the restroom before we got started he told me I was already late and running into my time....So I was already uncomfortable with the way I was talked to now.....I am a 50yr old woman far from a child to be chastised for asking to use a restroom...(Not that it should have been a problem no matter of age).....I went ahead and sat down in a ladies chair...I had said to her about the 2 services at this time she had informed me she was only doing my nails and not my waxing which takes less than 5 minutes to do...
