Christi is so talented and deserves all the business! She's artistic, she is always aware of the latest trends in art, nail shape, etc. She's so friendly and easy to work with - email her, text her - she'll do her best to work with your schedule and see you as soon as she can. I've never been disappointed in my nails since I started going to her. She can copy a pic exactly, or you can let her do her thing. She has every color, glitter, bling... whatever under the sun. I'll upload some of my own pics here soon. She also doesn't use tips- she sculpts the full nail so they are super durable. You'll need a fill bc of growth long before you'll have an issue with breaking or lifting. And her prices are like...way to good given the amount of work she puts in to each and every nail. Logistics: She's actually renting a space inside Asberry's A'Salon (idk what is up w that name...) on Anderson, near Burnet. A few parking spots in the front and more in the back. I've rarely had an issue finding parking here. She takes cash or cards.

I was unsure about this place considering it's a little bit hidden, and I've never heard of it…read morebefore. The reviews were great although many of them were from 6 to 13 years ago, but I decided to try them out anyway. I walked in and was immediately set up at a pedicure station, and Lily took great care of me. The salon is decorated beautifully and I enjoyed the ambiance. I got a gel pedicure for $40 which is amazing compared to other places nowadays. Aside from the amazing pricing and great vibes, I would come back for Lily's customer service alone! I'm very pleased with today's service and I would definitely recommended this place to anyone who's looking for a friendly and affordable salon.

My cousin introduced me to Micky (the owner of Expo Salon) and the first time he cut my curly hair, I was totally smitten. His way of working with me and my hair, and watching how I do it, how I work it myself, is really cool. He actually cares and learns how to cut it better next time, or how to cut it now for the results I want later. He explains what he's doing with every cut and motion, and how it's going to behave based on what he's doing... and my goodness, he is just always right. He knows what he's doing. So, yeah... I totally had the hair I loved... Until I moved to another state again for a year and couldn't find a stylist that compared. I was so happy I was only gone a year and my life brought me back to central Texas, right back to Micky's salon. Anyway, I recently moved out of town... again... and am about an hour's drive away now, so the other day before the COVID-19 quarantine started, I randomly settled for a stylist I'd never met just for a trim... I ended up with a hairstyle I hated and needed to get it "fixed" by another cut. It had finally grown out from a short 'do, but due to the lady's non understanding of what I wanted, now it's short again and still needs work... Needless to say, I cannot wait until COVID-19 is stable enough for me to get on Micky's list again... there is no other like him.

Y'all. Y'ALL. I have finally found my nail artist in Austin! Michele is an amazing nail artist…read more I found Michele on Yelp and checked her out on instagram (@itsasetup) following another reviewer's recommendation. I'm in LOVE. Don't let the fact that she's a one woman show fool you--her nail studio, which is inside a larger salon, is STACKED with the highest quality polishes, stones, studs, charms, etc. I've ever seen. I have been to nail salons with 30 chairs with fewer polishes than Michele has. Plus, she was a great listener who captured exactly what I wanted. It's not a frou frou place; you're not gonna get a glass of wine and a 20 minute stupid hand massage here. I don't have time for that anyways! I want beautiful, high quality nails and nail art. That's it. Michele delivers that exactly. Her attention to detail is amazing, her shaping is flawless, her polish application is insanely clean (she didn't have to remove any access polish from around my nails). She made a few really good suggestions (about my color choices and idea for stones) along the way that I appreciated because they were things I hadn't considered and I ended up happier with the final result. Her price for a full set was very reasonable considering the amount of work put in to it. Whatever shape you want, whatever design, she can do it. Figure out when you have an opening in your schedule, and go see Michele.
