I've been going to Moncheri since the new owners took over, but they just relaunched with their updated and gorgeous renovations and it's better than ever! Not only have I always had great technicians and service (I have stubby little nails but they always clean them up so nicely) but the experience/environment has always been amazing as well. The owner is super nice and knows me by name. You get two delicious (and included) drinks to sip on during your mani or pedicure (cocktails, Viet iced coffees, etc) and the prices are still super fair for Austin! They just added a salt /herb bar too - select various add-ins to make your pedicure super luxurious. This place is my go-to. read more

Even though the owner knew we weren't locals, he and his wife personally took care of us, and the level of service never skipped a beat. The attention to detail and genuine care they put into their work was excellent--nothing rushed, nothing overlooked. The space itself is spotless and beautifully done, with a very cool Japanese-inspired design that sets it apart from typical nail salons. It feels calm, intentional, and well thought out. A great bonus: you can enjoy a nice drink while getting your pedicure, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. By the time we were done, we both looked at each other and joked that we might need to start scheduling pedicures into our travel plans--clearly a sign of a job well done. I'm posting this here as well because after leaving my Google review, the salon attempted to shift blame by claiming I was "speaking harshly." That is not accurate, and I want to clarify exactly what happened. I had a 10:15am appointment. The salon did not open on time. Another client and I were left waiting outside in the cold, pouring rain until nearly 10:30am before anyone unlocked the doors. When I asked about my technician, David, I was told he would arrive shortly. He eventually walked in visibly irritated and immediately blamed traffic. I did not raise my voice, make demands, or speak harshly--I was quiet and simply trying to proceed with my scheduled appointment. Once seated, he began filing one nail and abruptly questioned why I hadn't selected a color. I calmly explained that no staff was inside the salon to assist us because the doors were locked past opening time. Before I could finish my sentence, he repeatedly spoke over me, became increasingly confrontational, and asked multiple times if I even wanted my nails done. When I attempted to clarify the color I wanted, he continued talking over me. I finally asked him to stop speaking so I could finish explaining--this was said calmly, not aggressively. His response was to escalate further, refuse service, and physically open the door to remove me from the salon. At no point did I speak harshly, insult him, or behave disrespectfully. The hostility and raised tone came entirely from him. Additionally, he made an unnecessary and unprofessional comment about where I live, which had nothing to do with the service. Being late is one thing. Locking clients out in bad weather, arriving visibly angry, speaking over a client, and then refusing service while blaming the customer is unacceptable. The attempt to rewrite the interaction afterward only reinforces my concerns. read more

I love this nail place! I have been coming to this salon through the last 2 owners but the new owners are definitely my favorite! They do such a quality job and the owners are so nice and sweet! I went in for a pedicure and manicure with my boyfriend and we have been so pleased with their service he's coming with me all the time now.
