While the service is nice enough l, they are in such a rush that this was the MESSIEST full set I haven't EVER gotten.....when I pointed out that there was an air bubble in one nail her only response was it's too late nothing she can do....: when got out to my car I realized she had out more polish on my pinky then the rest and it was still SUPER sticky..... My advice would be to avoid this spa. I treat myself to a manicure and pedicure every couple months; while I I am a regular customer of a couple salons, I do try others. Trying this spot was a big mistake. The pedicurist was interested in everything but attending to my pedicure; the television, her cell phone, gossiping, etc. Actually giving a pedicure was very clearly the last thing on her mind. She was, however, very interested in receiving a tip. Go figure. While the manicurist was present in the moment and focused on the task at hand she cut me. Twice. Given the general state of uncleanliness I observed this concerned me. There was a fellow there giving manicures and pedicures who treated us all to the inside scoop on his love life. I could have lived my entire life happily without hearing any of that. While their prices were not unreasonable compared to the industry standard, there was very little to no value based on the level and quality of service provided. It's really a shame because they have a convenient location, plenty of parking and a spacious shop. read more

I went to this salon a few days ago and I have a few complaints about it. The first thing I'm complaining about it that when the person was filing my nails they made me bleed on my pinky. Charged more than what they advertised, only $1, but it's the principal that matters. massage was 4 minutes, not ten, had skin that was peeling on the bottom of one of my toes...?? Not there before the pedicure! sloppy polish, smeared on the side and underneath my toes. No plastic protection in basin. read more

I was really disappointed by my experience at Nail Spa. I happened to be staying in the area + stopped by today. There were a few regulars in the place, which was promising, and the staff was friendly + quick to serve me. Things started off fine, but went quickly went downhill. As I look at my nails now, I can't help but share how things turned out: * My cuticles are stingy from being cut back so much that they were bleeding * Scratchy, rough nails that still need a good filing * Bubbles in the polish + nail polish on my skin * Top coat globs under my nails * Polish is already chipping My manicurist was really apologetic about the bleeding, and I'm usually pretty forgiving, especially when other things turn out fine. But really, it was super uncomfortable and tense--I had a knot in my stomach the whole time + was very eager to leave. All around, this was one of the worst manicure experiences I've had, and I'm usually a pretty easy-to-please person. I would happily pay the extra 10 bucks for my place in the city that is relaxing [aka no infomercials playing on the tv], professional, and pain-free. read more

I go here every now and again with a friend. They are very attentive and gave me much more attention than i was previously used to. They are not in hurry and spend time to do a nice job. They are also very good with my young daughter when I bring her. They are all pretty quiet, so if you're looking for boisterous and friendly, you may not like this place. read more

I gave this place a try, but I'm very disappointed by their service. First of all, they made me always wait even though each time I made an appointment. Maybe once Nick took right away, but usually it was always a problem. The wait is usually up 30 min. For example, they made me late for a X-mas a party. I had to walk out of it yesterday after waiting for 30 min in the chair, soaking my feet and waiting and waiting. The man came, but soon after eh removed polish, went back to another client with whom he wasn't finished yet. I did call ahead of time, Anna told me to rush because the were closing at 6:00 p.m. I rushed there, but at 5:50 p.m., the salon was full of people, and I was waiting to be served. I think the main problem is that they are understaffed: they don't have enough employees to assist clients. Second of all, after I refused to a gel manicure again, Anna got upset with me, didn't take enough to remove the gel from my nails. As the result, when I came out outside that my nails looked 'bumpy', unpolished at all. For removing gel, Anna demanded extra $5.00! Well, I had to go back, and Nick had to redo them all - so I spent extra 30 min there again. I think, because they don't have employees, the quality of their work goes down. For example, when she had to remove the gel and do my nails, Anna told me that she didn't eat all day - that's she was rushing, she had too many customers. Well, I'm not sure why they don't organized their workday properly: take breaks for lunch. I felt sorry for her, but I'm not paying for bad work. I'm also so I'm glad that their little son is not in the store anymore: they finally decided to hire a babysitter. Solomon is only 4 y.o., but he wold run outside by himself which was very dangerous!!! He was asking for attention from both of his parents who couldn't give them to him because they were working. Once I saw Anna putting him to take a nap on the floor in the storage room. There's a thin blanket on the floor and nothing else. I felt like calling protective services. thank God they came to their senses and removed a child from a place of their work. Finally, they (Anna especially) demand payment for services and tips in cash only: there' s a sign on the door about the tips. Well, it means that they don't report their tips as a part of their income - that's a federal offense. It's up to a customer how much and what type of payment and gratitude he or she chooses. I'm not going back there again because all this sense and a very tense atmosphere when they have a lot of customers. I got a nail salon to relax, but not to get stressed out! They need to have a better work organization for themselves and for their won customers if they want to stay in business. Most of local people go there because they don't want to drive to Albany or to Hudson, but you know what, I'd rather to 20 -25 min to a place where I would treated right instead of going to a nearby place where I would have to wait for 30 min, left unsatisfied with their work and harassed about the type of payment they want to choose. read more
