Bottom Line: It's Dirty I recently moved to Hudson and didn't want to drive the 25min my regular nail place so I tried Blooming. The techs aprons and name tags are dirty, my tech's nail clipper was rusty, the tray the tools were on had crusty debris, there was mold growing under the peeling labels of the cuticle oil. Even the stainless steel garbage can by the sinks was filthy. My tech cut me when doing my pedicure and I will be dousing my foot in alcohol praying I don't get a staph infection. Honestly, I can't believe this place is allowed to even be in business. read more

Me and my college friend decided to get our nails done after class expecting it to be a reasonable price and place...but unfortunately in our experiences...we were rudely answered and poorly treated by male owner...he didn't want to listen and or hear anything you had to say ...and was also rude to every customer that walked through the door.... I only got a fill with 2 basic colors no design and 1 nail fix...they charged me $73 and had to argue the price....my friend got a full set same damn thing as me 2 basic colors...and it was $65....this is fucking unacceptable...never going again....P.S Anna was the best worker there and such a delight...she was very accommodating and communicated properly toward the situation....I recommend never going unless you wanna get robbed I'd love to put zero stars but not possible read more

I was just at Blooming Nails in Hudson. The salon was empty except for one other customer, understandable on a sunny Saturday. I asked the lady at the counter if I could have a pedicure and I had picked the polish. That lady went and sat down next to the other employee who was on the phone. I stood at the counter with no one doing anything except talking on the phone, for ten minutes. Then two other women come in and apologize for being late, also understandable on a sunny Saturday and the lady told me I would have to wait. I told her I had waited long enough and left. For anyone wondering this place has not changed . I made 2 appointments one for a acrylic fill one for a full acrylic set . The full set ended up waiting and extra half hour before anyone started doing her nails and as for mine I've never been in so much pain while getting my nails done the guy was so rough I'm surprised I even have a nail bed left ! Oh and not to mention the giant bumps in the acrylic and terrible polish job.. the lack of shape and the fact that he LOOKED at my thumb and how jacked it was and thought that was ok?!? I am new in the area and decided to give this place a try. It was the WORST experience I have never had and I could not wait for it to be over. The guy that did my gel fill was rude from the start. He questioned my color choices and kept trying to make money off my "broken nails". Now that I'm looking at them, it looks like he purposely did a bad job on those ones so they will easily break. Anytime I asked for him to fix the shape of a nail to make them even, he would make an excuse like it was my fault he was doing a bad job. He was also EXTREMELY rough, making 5 fingers bleed! For a gel pedicure they are expensive. The man who is the owner is unable to be pleasant. I returned as the gel came off one place immediately, the owner never offered any apology and seemed angry about it. It is clean and bright but it has gone down hill service wise. read more

As my friend said as we walked out, "this is a solidly three-star place." And I agree -- it's certainly not the best mani/pedi I've gotten, but it's definitely not the worst. My technician rushed me during polish selection, gave only a perfunctory scrub to my heels and overall seemed unhappy with me the entire time. The worst part was that the tech clipped my cuticle too close and it started to bleed -- and she didn't apologize. The nail job was OK but not great. Good for the $38 price, though. read more

The cleanliness has improved drastically from a year ago. This is now my favorite place to get a pedicure. The honey pedicure is fantastic and worth the money. I usually just get the regular pedicure to save money. I'm not sure what base or topcoats they use here but the nail polish stays on 3-4 weeks with no chips! It's just regular Essie polish but somehow they are able to keep it on. This is my favorite place for pedicures. I haven't tried anything else though. My sister gets acrylics done here and they do a nice job. read more

I just dropped $130 on a gel manicure and pedicure. Was probably the sloppiest work I've ever experienced in a nail salon. The person was so careless and rushed that he had to completely redo my nails, and sent me home with a totally botched up job. Not only that, but the rude looks and attitude I received as a result were very unprofessional. The surface of my nail polish is not only not smooth, since he left particles of dust and debris on my nails before painting them; it also has a very uneven and thick appearance, with the polish spilling onto my skin on four of my nails; which I know for gel nails, will result in the polish coming off prematurely. Unless you are OK with spending over $100 on an embarrassingly unprofessional looking manicure and pedicure, do not bring your business here. read more

Just don't get a wax here unless it's a straight up bikini. And if then, don't wear anything you care about. Mani and pedi were alright - nothing to write home about. But got a Brazilian and apparently they have what they consider a Brazilian and just let me say - just don't do it. Got charged full price too. Just laughing. This is the worst place to get your nails done. All I wanted was a regular manicure, and the girl, yoyo, was obviously not knowledgeable in manicures. She did it so fast, she didn't clean under my nails as I'm a gardener and there is still dirt around my nail bed, my cuticles are uneven, she ground my cuticles, so they're now ridged, the nail polish was so cheap that even an hour after the manicure it peeled. The polish pooled at the base of my nail because of the grinding, my nails were filed unevenly. . I could go on and on! Forget about a pedicure, that was way worse. She didn't do anything with my cuticles,but she did pretend to... and for $40, the best I got was the foot massage. She put the hot towel directly on my legs and wrapped it with saran wrap without cooling it. I had to ask her to remove it, it burned so badly!! Save your money. .Don't go here!!!! read more

My experience the first time I went was extremly exceptional, I had an acrylic set plus a pedicure.. I was extremly pleased with the service, however, I have since went back and both times the regular nail polish lasted a few days before chipping and a gel lasted one week which is suppossed to last 2.. when my nails were being filed, they cut me twice and told me they didnt. The service is very poor.. I will NOT be continuing going here. read more

The owner of this shop is beyond rude to every customer that walks in that door. I feel sorry for his employees. They charge an arm and a leg for their services and then he rushes the tech to finish it so they can go on to the next customer. There is nothing relaxing and enjoyable about their $50 pedicures. He only had two other techs working besides himself, which doesn't surprise me as I would not work for him either. They aren't even good at what they do and don't listen to your request. Very sloppy work, especially on acrylics and UV gel. You are much better off going to Nail Art even if you have to wait for a seat. The techs do a good job and are always friendly. Price are also more reasonable. No wonder why they are always packed and this place is always empty.The guy is a money hungry pos. Please stop spending your money here so he can ride around in a Porsche. He doesn't deserve good clientele. Hopefully this place shuts down sooner than later. They do not have a handle on how to do powder nails. I was a loyal customer and like the ANC...but they only did half the nail three times in a row. I agree with other reviewers that it is not a warm and friendly vibe. I only went there because it was so convenient to work. I now actually drive 12 miles out of my way to go to an amazing nail salon--Aiden nails in Red Hook--my nails last a month and it a wonderful friendly place. I did feel that it was very clean. Hands down, the worst manicure/pedicure spot I've ever been. I tried to give them a chance because there is a real dearth of salons in the Hudson area (and they're open late for those like me who work in a profession with long hours). Unfortunately, they've only gotten worse as my visits have increased. Gels start peeling in 3 days, and to top it off, they rush you out the door. Same with the pedicures--never have I ever had polish peel off so quickly. If I'm paying for a deluxe pedicure, I expect to ACTUALLY have callouses removed and for my polish to ACTUALLY look nice. I had high hopes for this place -- it presents well and appears clean. But the level of service is awful. The guy who is the manager (possibly owner) is both awful at providing a quality pedicure AND awful at dealing with people. First, he plunges my feet into water that was way too hot. Then, he was so rough on my feet that they wound up bleeding. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and skipped the manicure. Moreover, he's unhelpful and unpleasant. Most unfortunate. read more

Way overpriced and subpar pedicure. Rushed through the process and a terrible job on the polish. I went with my mom and 6 year old. They charged $20 for my 6 year old!!! The polish is all over our toes and will be chipping within a few days as they did not paint the top part of the nail. Skip this place!! read more

My mother would take me and my daughter all the time. They where nice at first. Than they would cut us with the sander, and put nails on crooked and say it was because of fingers. They went from warm and friendly to being annoyed when we would go in. read more

I don't have a usual local nail spa/salon where I go to get a pedicure. Lately I have been really disappointed with Nail Spa and Gel Nails is good but the wait time is usually pretty long. So today I decided to try Blooming Nail Spa!! I believe now I have found a nail spa/salon that I will always go to. I have been looking for a nail salon that is high quality and does good nails designs but doesn't cost a crazy amount for a long time. I am so happy I found this one based on my friend's recommendation. Staffs were really attentive when filing my nails, checking multiple times to make sure I had the perfect rounded edges. In the end, everything worked out very well and the art was amazing. I will go back soon and recommend to everyone! read more

I went last week to get gel manicure and a French pedicure. The employee assigned to me was Mandy (I believe that's her name), and she was very nice and was able to keep up with my confusing requests. The employees there were very friendly with each other, and their customers. However, only bad thing I have to say is that my gel nails are chipping slightly, and though it doesn't bother me that much, I know there are others that would be very ticked off by this.
