TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT come here. I brought my own nails in, and wanted her to do acrylic only, no paint, no design JUST ACRYLIC. They are a decent length, not short, but not super long. The board said 45+ for an acrylic full set. Chee, charged me $85 i asked her why and she said because of the length. $45 extra dollars for the length????? Go somewhere else. I came here because my normal nail place was closed. They convinced me to do gel because it's faster than AHC and they have very few AHC colors - the nail color swatches are all faded and impossible to tell what color they are. I had one broken nail that I wanted a tip on and they they convinced me to do a tip with acrylic over it and my thumb nail is distorted and bumpy and you can see the acrylic on the sides. Nothing natural about it even though they claimed it would look good. With dip, you don't need acrylic! So now I'll have to wait for this to grow out or cut all of my nails done to get the acrylic off. read more

I had an appt scheduled (day of) for myself and my toddler. As soon as I arrived, the toddler pedicure chair and an adult chair directly next to it was available for us and BOTH services were completed simultaneously by two technicians (not always the case in my experience and when there's only one, it's hard for the toddler to be patient and sit/wait for so long). A somewhat welcoming, not-oppressive, clean and bright mani/pedi factory. My pedicure for my first time here was a pleasure --very good massage chair, nice if perfunctory, foot massage. Got my calluses pretty much off after some serious foot care neglect on my part. Pleasant cheery worker who spoke *some* English. $26 -- certainly a fair price! I made an appointment in a couple days to return for a manicure. I always wonder if the young women at nail salons are being paid or are indentured. I can't tell here but there was no overbearing mean boss man hovering. They're Thai or Vietnamese I believe. Just a guess. You could bring a friend with you for dual pedicures 'cause there's a whole line of chairs. This seems to be a hot spot for tweens and young girls getting their nails done. But also women. I had high hopes for this nail salon after reading multiple reviews for different salons in the area. I was very disappointed. I scheduled a mani/pedi and had the following experience: 1: not a great selection of colors and the polish/ products were not well kept (gooey bottle tops and polish bottles that had caked on dried polish preventing the technician from opening properly 2. The sinks for washing your nails were gross and the soap dispenser was empty. The brushes had grime built up from not being properly washed and sanitized 3. My technician rushed through both the mani and pedi, finishing both in less than 40 minutes. Her work was sloppy and I walked away with rough edges and polish build up in all my cuticles. The only silver lining was the price, which would have been reasonable if the service was good. I will not be returning. read more

He may have been the owner and stopped about 10 times during my manicure to answer the phone or tend to the front desk. That wasn't great. He did not shape my nails at all (they were short) but that surprised me. He was very pleasant and did talk to me once I engaged him. The manicure came out nicely. The nail she put on my fingers don't even fit my fingers they're way too small some of my nail is still showing on many of the fingers. I would highly recommend not going here. My and my friend went to this nail salon because our normal nail salon was booked and couldn't get us in on the day we needed to go. We both wanted these light pretty colors that were advertised as we were choosing and when the color was applied it was much darker then what we wanted. I got ANC and it came out horrible. The color didn't match what I picked out and they didn't have many options to choose from. Also I can see lines in my nails and the actual way it was applied was sloppy and it doesn't look nice. I was also told I couldn't get gel polish on my tips which I know is false because I have gotten it done before. Will not be returning to this nail salon ever. read more

Used dirty untentils they lieterally tried to scrape someone else's cuticle off to clean mine- that was after I asked them to clean my fingers - this place is gross and my nails look horrible - he missed half my nail! They didn't even give a hand massage or offer lotion- I just paid $32 for then to half paint (anc and not even the anc polishes) To half half painted ugly nails! I walked in smiling and in a great mood. I left so angry I could hardly speak. Started out ok--a man greeted me warmly and sat me down at a manicure station right away (#7). Thats where things started to fall apart. I noticed the work area was filthy. The surface was sticky and the desk was unkept. Everything was covered with a fine dust and grit. An empty paper coffee cup and a pile of fake nails was hastily pushed aside to begin my manicure. I saw no sterilizing equipment any where. The young women was quiet and sweet, but obviously didn't know what she was doing. She was so clumsy, slow and inexperienced she may not even have a license to practice. I asked for square shape nail, and ended up with nails shaped like paint scrapers. I asked her to round the corners so they weren't so sharp. She didn't understand me so I drew a picture. Then I noticed my cuticles were not clean. I ignored it. She put lotion on my hands and started to massage them. Very slowly. I said I have to leave soon. That's when the other cosmetician at the adjacent station (#6) piped up loudly and said, "you want to rush? when you want to leave? you never been here before?" I did not want to make a scene so I said "forget it, it's okay" After my cosmetician finished massaging my hands she said "now wash your hands" I said "you want me to wash all the lotion off?" Again the woman next door said "every place is different! that's how we do things here!" "If you don't wash your hands the polish won't stick!" I said "you dont' wipe just the nails? She said "no! you want us to wipe each nail with alcohol? fine"....I said forget it. WHen they said $15 i said "Wow." The lady next door again piped up, but by this time she was yelling "where you live??" I said New York City she says "People in the city pay less! they come in here all the time and tell me this! Everything in New York is cheaper! Everything is done differently depending on where you go!" I think all this is bad enough, if i hadn't had to see the cosmetician at station #9 pick her nose the entire time I was getting my nails done. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I WOULD RATE ZERO IF I COULD!! I usually have my nails done at a place in Albany, but was unable to get there, so I went here because it's so close to where I live. I was getting my acrylics taken off. He soaked my fingers in acetone and then used a Dremel on them, my fingers were burning! Idk why I didn't get up and walk away. But I thought whatever, he's almost done. WORST. MISTAKE. OF MY LIFE. He began twisting, pulling, ripping at my nail extensions to get them to pull apart from my nail. He grabbed another nail tip from his box and used it to PRY OFF MY TIPS. And after that??? DREMEL AGAIN!!! My nails were SO FUCKED, thinner than I ever thought possible. My fingers all felt bruised for a week afterwards. Still, after months, my nails are completely damaged with indents in them, breaking ALL the time because they're too weak to grow. And after all that, he STILL did not remove all the acrylic from my fingernails. They still have spots of it leftover. With my nails being such a wreck, I'm afraid to have it taken off. I used to go Nail art many many years ago but stopped when the other nail salon moved into town. 14 years later, walking into Radio Shack, Alex and another tech were outside and yelled my name across the parking lot to say hello to me! This place is filthy. I have been going there for quite a while and they do a good job on your nails but lately the place is getting more and more disgusting. Makes you wonder if they ever clean the tools they are using on you or the tub you put your feet in. There is layers and layers of dirt and dust on everything in the place. I always bring in complicated designs and Lynn does an excellent job on them.
