Will not be returning. I was trying to find a new nail salon to go to but unfortunately, I was not happy with my service. I had one guy doing my pedicure. I was pointing to colors that I wanted and every time I asked for a certain color he brought a different one. After the third time, when he kept on bringing me the wrong color I just got annoyed and just gave up. So I just went with a color I didn't even want. And tell me why they charged me 142$ to get a mani and pedi for me and my 6-year-old daughter. Yes, we both got gel, I know that's extra but 17$ for gel polish is ridiculous. They said I could go back next time and get 10$ off my service but that is just not worth it to me. I rather never go back again. Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off. 142$ is honestly outrageous. I never went to a nail salon that charged me that much. read more

The service was excellent and the nail technician was kind. However, I felt mislead with the cost of the nail polish. I called and asked for the cost of a French manicure and was quoted $25-$27. When I arrived they shared that the regular polish would come off in two days and upsold me to gel type polish without any mention of an increase in cost after I asked a number of questions. This resulted in a $45 dollar cost for a manicure!!!! I was so unhappy with the feeling of being upsold and felt taken advantage of. I won't be going again. Buyer beware. read more

I had the honor of getting a powder manicure with the owner, or so I thought. He was managing the salon, customers, the phone and berating staff who were taking too long, while doing my manicure. So much of my time wasted and he kept losing track of how many layers of powder he put on me! As a result my manicure is a bit messy and very thick. It also isn't the color I chose- more peptobismol than ballet slippers! He trimmed cuticles and cleaned up smears as an afterthought when I pointed it out to him. Most of all, he was angry and barking orders to his staff throughout. Not a pleasant feeling. Not going back because I don't want to have to say no to him. The other staff are good. read more

While on vacation in the Berkshires, we visited the town of Lee and walked into Lucky Nails. The salon is in a nice space and clean. Covid-19 precautions were taken, beginning with temperature checks at the door and continued with Plexiglass dividers during pedicures and face masks worn at all times by staff and customers. JJ (owner) engaged us in conversation and made our visit an entertaining and enjoyable one. While the staff were all pleasant and nice, the actual pedicures and manicures were sub-par, as compared to the quality of service we are accustomed to. Dryers were not used to dry my toes while my nails were being manicured. My feet were briefly placed under the dryer (after my nails were finished) and then sprayed and wrapped in plastic so that I could put on my shoes. When I returned to the resort and removed my shoes and the plastic, the nail polish was ruined. read more

Always been going to this nail place when I'm in the area. Went back after a while and was pleasantly surprised by their beautiful renovation / addition. Refreshing to walk into! Snow was my nail technician and she was so sweet and is very detail oriented with her work. I will always request her from now on. Even when super busy on a weekday evening the owner was very sweet and everyone had great customer service. Love this place! I always ask for Sarah and she is great. Really takes her time to do a great job. They are very cleanly especially during COVID. Take your temperature when you come in and have glass dividers for nails and toes. Masks are required and employees wear them. They do a good job of distancing and wiping down chairs after use. Only reason I'm not giving 5 star is because they do try to up sell you as many nail salons do and are a bit on the pricey side of things. read more

While on vacation in the area, I booked a gel manicure. The end result was quite good, but I've never been to a nail shop with such poor cleanliness and sanitation standards. The table was dirty, the dryer surface was sticky, and the man who did my nails used a paper towel to clean his brow and then used it on my fingers. When I asked if the cuticle clipper had been sanitized, he said yes and then doused it with alcohol. read more

I got a pedicure and couldn't be more unimpressed. The polish was so poorly done that even my boyfriend (who never notices these things) asked if I got my toes done by a child. There is polish all over my skin and my nails aren't fully covered. I asked her to clean it up and she wiped polish off of my skin on one toe only. Lucky Nails in Lee is not your basic nail salon with first-generation Asian technicians making passive-aggressive comments about your calluses and trying to convince you to get a full set of acrylic nails. Ok, it is that, but so much more! It's also happy hour and Steel Magnolias and the one place where townie teens hang out with summer-home snowbirds. I got a spa pedicure and dating advice. My girlfriend ran into a business contact at the drying station. The man running the show keeps everyone's manis and pedis on schedule and keeps the atmosphere fun and flirty. He clearly loves charming the ladies and it seems to work because the place was packed at 7:15pm when we went in, and all the customers seemed very at home and happy to be there. The customer service really is over the top, in a good way. They insist on putting your socks and shoes on for you, so you don't ruin your fingernails. All the while, advising you that your boyfriend or husband really should treat you this way all the time. Who doesn't agree? Actually, no one who worked at Lucky Nails was very quick to pick up that we were a capital C couple, not just a couple of girls without boyfriends. We probably could have each scored a date to some "hot club" in Springfield on the arm of a male nail tech, but my Mango Madness toes are going to tap off to some other adventure. I'm sure I'll be back (although my pedi is still looking good 3 weeks later), so I'll try to explain next time... read more

My first visit I had some questions. Why did they try to upsell me on more of this or that? Why did one toenail get a bit messy within an hour? But I thought, whatever. This time, I realized what the issue is. They do some things well, others; not so well. First, let it be said in my only two time visits, appointments were respected. A plastic liner was put in the pedicure bowl to protect clients from bacteria of others, but when the liner was pulled out after and the liquid poured into the naked bowl at the end--seemed to defeat the reason for the liner. Akin to having a sandwich at a shop made with plastic covered hands, only to have them use the same gloves to handled your dirty cash and then make the next sandwich. Arriving at the place we stayed in Lee, I saw the thumbnail was smeared off. Weird. All 10 toes were fine, as were 9 other digits. No problem said my local host's suggestion, just return and they fix it. Entering I was met with a teenage-sigh and disgusted face, then told to go to "#6". I sat for about 6 minutes and then person who'd done my hands and feet came back to repair saying, "You didn't let dry long enough." I told her I sat thru 2 rounds. "I told you 3," she snapped back. She hadn't but that wasn't the point. I just paid $50 plus plus 15% tip & she castigates me? Tells me it's my fault? It was for returning to this place. Don't worry yellow tee shirt, I won't go to Lucky Nails in Lee ever again. read more

When they're busy, they'll rush you in and out as quickly as they can. In order to do this they'll skip some steps and do generally poorer work. I went with my daughter to get my nails done 6 days ago. I asked for acrylic. JJ kept pushing gel. I was adamant I wanted acrylic nails. He gave me gel! And kept pushing for gel polish. I told him I change my color at home and didn't want gel. I didn't know he gave me gel until he gave me my receipt which was a charge for $45 instead of $35. I questioned him. He said $5 for tips andonly $5 more for gel, much better. I told him I didn't want gel And I told him that. He said sorry only $5 he will know next time, he's not ripping anyone off just a misunderstanding. The shape was horrible and I decided to just fix them myself. Today I removed the polish and my nails were already lifting. One came off. I called to tell them and see what they would do. They told me come in and JJ will fix them. I told them I didn't want him doing my nails. They made me an appointment with Katie for 4:30. Michele filed my nails. I waited. At 5 Katie came to fix my nails and filed the tops. she was told to work on someone else's and I was told I had to wait for JJ. 20 min later JJ came in. He immediately started berating Me about my nails growing too fast because of something I ate. I told him he didn't put them on to the cuticle to begin with and that wasn't my issue, them coming off of my nails is the issue. the entire time he was fixing them he was telling my my nails grew too fast and he will fix this time for free but no one else would have done that and he won't do it for free again. After they were refilled (he filed and directly applied the powder with no prep so I'm sure they will lift again) he took the block file and aggressively smoothed the tops then took out the nail brush that we use to wash with, the thick plastic white one, and aggressively raked the tops of my hands. He put the clear primer on and asked what color I want. I told him I'll paint them myself at home. I had a $20 cash tip to leave after they were fixed but after the way he treated me I walked out with it. I'm absolutely disgusted at the way I was treated! I will not ever go back there! read more

This place is ok. Way better then Cozy Nails. They are not that expensive. However some of the nail specialists are rather rude. They will put 10 people for the same appointment time and you will be waiting there forever unfortunately. The interior however is clean and well kept. read more

I went for a gel manicure and a pedicure. First they tried to up sell me with a spa pedicure. No surprise since I find most salons will do that. Then they tried to get me to get my legs waxed even after I told them I was pressed for time. The technician that did my my feet and hands was okay but she definitely didn't do a great job. When I went to rinse my hands I started to notice how absolutely filthy the place was. Everywhere I looked was covered in months if not years of dirt and nail dust. Right down to the ultraviolet light for the gel. If I had seen this before I let her take a sharp instrument to my toes I would have been right out the door but I realized it when all that was left was the actual polish. As soon as I could I went to a drugstore for antibiotic cream. Not only was the place filthy, the owner and some of the staff where downright rude. The pushiness of the constant up selling was annoying to say the least. And to top it off the gel pealed within a few hours. What a waste of time and money. You are absolutely correct Michelle, every business has a list of products with prices and when I pick off that list and tell the tech what I want and the tech asks "would you like to try this instead? It's $10.00 more and lasts longer." that my dear is an UP SELL. So nope, no one twisted my arm as you put it but they sure did up sell and I went for it and got a horrible paint job on my toes with unmatching colors even though I was told they were the same and pointed out the difference once they dried. PLUS got charged instead of the tech being understanding and offer to fix it or not charge me. But if you are one of the workers to run things I can see why customer satisfaction is not there. You have definitely lost a good paying customer for your attitude and I'll be sure to report it. read more

The workers there are very kind and do good work, and this is likely not their fault, but dont let them convince you they're doing "gel" nails with powder and liquid. A quick Google search tells you "gel" powder is not a thing, but they're charging you ~$20 more for something it is not. Either way I'm happy with my nails, but the only gel about it is the gel polish, which is great, but 20 extra dollars was paid for gel polish over acrylics under a different name. read more
