A married couple owns this place, the husband is usually nice, and so are their kids... but the wife oh my gosh... i went here for awhile and every time I had her my experience was horrible.. so i stopped going to this place. She would answer FaceTime calls in the middle of painting my nails, scroll instagram, get up and walk away 5 times and honestly she was super rude too... so I stopped going a couple years ago, yesterday my family wanted to go here and booked an appointment so i gave them one more chance. Well, I got stuck with her as my nail tech and I was really hoping I wouldn't. I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she literally rolled her eyes and started talking to her husband in another language. (It was literally just black and pink/purple ombré) She kept asking me what website i got the pic from and literally started looking through my camera roll... she said she needed to know the site to know if she could do it, i told her it was a screenshot i don't remember where it came from and than she said she couldn't do it than LOL, than said she can do purple and black and asked me how many fingers I wanted and I said all she said "all 10?! i told you we don't do that" so i said "just do black im over this" so i'm already unhappy... than once again she's on her phone a bunch, and the only thing she decided to talk about is how my mom is skinny and i'm not, and how i'm probably the mailman's baby, she was just way too comfortable talking and laughing about this after being nothing but rude prior. She honestly just has mean girl energy and is super super rude I don't know how this place has stayed open with her there. I was so close to exploding on her and freaking out but kept it together because my family was getting their nails done and I didn't want to cause a scene. Also, she didn't even ask me how long I wanted my nails she just cut them too short, but I just wanted to get out of there and be done so I wasn't gonna make her re do it. i was just so over her crazy attitude. read more

Nothing has changed. Still horrible customer service. I waited for 20 minutes and nobody even greeted me. They don't care about their clientele. I will not be back and I will not recommend them. Southwick needs a good nail salon but this isn't the place that will deliver on that. read more

The only reason they get 2 stars is because the young man who did my pedicure did a great job. The older man who did my manicure barely spoke and didn't do a proper manicure. On top of that my clear fingernail polish turned brown one week later!! Do not go here!! read more

First of all, the pedicure I was received was fine. A bit over priced, but maybe standard for Southwick. My biggest issue here is that the owners had their VERY young daughter do my pedicure. I was beyond uncomfortable at how young she was and how she was expected to work in the salon. I felt so guilty. This should not be allowed, and for that reason I will never go back, and I encourage everyone to steer clear. The owners/adults in the salon barely addressed us, and made the kids give us pedicures and check us our at the end. So sad. read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother--who wanted to create a Yelp account just so she could write a review for this place...unfortunately Ma Dukes has an unfortunate knack of forgetting her passwords to stuff...like the Verizon account we all share which results in a monthly bout of frenzied texts and her trying to recall if her "first pet" is her first as a child or her first as a married adult. I digress. Like a review posted below--mom's pedicure was done by the young daughter. Her nails weren't cleaned, she had polish on her toes in 20 minutes, and she still shelled over $30. Awful. I used to love this place! They used to do such a quality job. Now they rush and my hands feel dirtier than before I walked in. The most RUSHED manicure ever. Didn't have me wash my hands after filing and then began painting right over old nail files . NO massages or lotion either. Did not cut nails or clean them. Not to mention they just sit on the phone using Snapchat and other social media while I'm in the middle of my nails getting painted. Truly disappointed. After taking my sister to get her nails done a few weeks ago, first time since her wedding as a treat....epic fail. Three of my nails discolored which has never happened in the 10+ yrs I've been getting my nails done, according to my regular nail stylist this happens when unclean tools are used. I tried this place out because I had difficulty getting in to my regular salon. They did a great job! I thought the prices were reasonable, same range as any other nail salon in the area. Nicest pedicure chairs I've ever been in. I like that they give you different levels of pedicure options to choose from (ex. classic, express, spa, etc.) I disagree with the low rating it has on here, I was impressed and would recommend it to anyone. read more

Literally the worst experience I've ever had getting a manicure. Although the studio itself is nice and they have a large selection of colors.. It doesn't make up for the awful service. They don't trim your cuticles more than very minimum, they file your whole nail and then apply the color without base coat leaving it bumpy, the polish they used on me came out translucent even though it should have, they put lotion on my hands and pat it down then wiped it off and the person working on my sisters manicure didn't even use lotion, then at the end without saying a word put a timer in front of your face and walk away. The whole time I felt awkward and like I was bothering the lady for being there. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
