This was my second visit to Aura. My first experience was great I had a manicure and pedicure. The Nail spa was relatively clean, but not as clean as I would think after coming out of a pandemic. Pedicure was average at best and they up charged for everything. My manicure was average also, felt a bit rushed but overall very good. I opted to head back the other day with my daughter. I scheduled a polish change for my toes and French Gel Manicure, my daughter was scheduled for a manicure. We had a 5:30apt and they were able to start which was great. They started with my manicure, where they proceeded to grind my cuticles off with a nail sander, from there she proceeded to push what was left as hard as she can with a cuticle pusher. It was terribly painful I had to ask her to stop. She proceeded to rush through to the point I have missing spots in the gel top coat. My daughter was next up, they proceeded to just file and polish. Nothing more than I could have done myself at home. She's 12, but knows what a true manicure should be. Needless to say a special day was lack luster at best. read more

I had an hour before a work appointment, and felt my nails needed a little TLC. I googled a nearby nail salon, and Aura Nails popped up. But by the time I got there, I realized that I actually had 30 min for a quick mani rather than the whole hour! I expressed my doubt whether a shellac mani could be done within 30 min, and was assured that it wouldn't be a problem. They were right! Wow!! Within 30 min, I got a great shellac mani in 2 different colors, with about 5 layers of polish, a great neck and shoulder massage (they had someone giving me one while I sat at the table), a quick hand massage (a hot stone was used) and I was out the door! If you pay cash, you get a slight discount (I think it was $2 off). Gina was the nail technician who worked on my nails and she did such a great job. I'm just very very sad that I live near Boston and this location is near Springfield! Maybe I can make pit stops if I'm ever driving through again...? read more

Upon entering the lady asked if she could help me, I said I'd like to make an appointment for the next day. She asked for what, I said a fill. She said and I quote "oh the lady that does fills is on vacation" ......what? You have 1 lady that does fills? I asked what all the other girls that were sitting do. She said sets and pedicure. I said you seriously have 1 girl that does fills? She said yes, ok you lost this customer and anyone that asks me where to go! How do you have 1 lady if you want repeat customers. read more

First the good part, I called and they were able to take me last minute. I had an extra 90 minutes in my crazy schedule and my nails needed serious help. I walked in and sat down, the price went up....twice in less than a minute. Started with $40 and ended with $65. Apparently because some of my tips were falling off it was more expensive than a full set? At that point, I agreed. I needed them done that badly. Then, another lady came up behind me and started to massage my shoulders, I hadn't ever seen this before and thought it was a nice touch. She asked me how I liked it, when I said it was nice, she said "it will be $15 for 12 minutes, okay?" I almost yelled "no!" Who's does that? She briskly walked away to chat in another language with one of the other workers. My fill with repairs took OVER TWO HOURS!!!! I've been getting my nails done for over 25 years and I have never had just a full take that long. It was glob by and uneven, she filed my cuticles to blood, and literally separated the skin from my finger when she applied the gel over the edge of the nail. terrible experience, I will never go back there. DO NOT GET YOUR EYE BROWS DONE HERE!! they completely rushed, missed a bunch or hairs. I legit had to finish them in the room myself. I then realized they cut half of the tail off of one of my eye brows. Now I have to go home and fix them myself. Worst place I have ever been, oh and they over charge. read more

Wanted gel overlay removed and planned to get a shellac manicure. Someone came in 10 min after me but went before me...it was a color change but still. As she's filing my nail, the edge of the file slices my cuticle. Cool. Doesn't wipe blood off. Lovely. She asks if I like round shape and I say yes please if possible. They're square. Some are filed so short that it hurts to touch things because the skin under the nail is exposed. When they first opened, they were good, I got a pedicure there. A lot of women there were getting pedicures. Clearly working on hands isn't their forte. Decided against shellac. Left polish free, didn't feel confident about their abilities to do a good job. Upon walking in I was greeted by two women (one of which I presume to be the owner) tells me about the pricing ... -45 dollars for a fill with no option of acrylic -to re-shape 5 dollars - fix a nail5 - 10 for designs ... after hearing those prices I almost left but decided to do the minimum $45 keeping my shape. Anyway, I have a special occasion coming up so I figured I'd wing it and spend the money ... BIG MISTAKE. Upon explaining to the nail tech (hazel) that it was important for me to have them shaped correctly I was yelled at.. YES YELLED AT by the owner who mind you, wasnt even doing my nails interrupts me! demanded that I be quiet and that I'll be able to tell the girl later how I want my nails shape (you guessed it, that never happened) Last time I checked... if I'm giving someone 45+ dollars to do a gel polish (which I dont even like) I'm going to tell them how i want it done. Lmao. Anyway, so this crazy lady aka the owner... yells at me for trying to explain how I wanted my nails shaped (which .. they came out looking like shit anyway). These people where hell bent on getting me to spend more money I made it very clear the most I would go for my nails was 45. Mind you I typically pay roughly 25-30 WITH TIP for my nails and they look ALOT better then the way this lady did them ugh. The nail tech barely said two words to me would pretend like she didnt understand English and was speaking in mandarin with the other nail tech about me... BUT let me tell you toward the end when we started talking pricing she understood VERY clearly what I was saying. I get up to the register and the lady goes okay so 60 and we give you discount of four dollars ..... Wait what lol they told me without the designs etc it would be 45 she replies "sixty dollars" .. I'm thinking this has got to be a joke" there's no discount in spending 60 dollars on gel nails that aren't shaped right, and I'm being charged 20 dollars more then what we agreed upon. I was astonished .. I say "okay , no problem". The receptionist goes (with my change 15 dollars in a pile on the desk.. how unprofessional) after handing me back the change she didn't drop on the ground and maybe stole some of it behind the desk.. I hand her $5 she goes "oh that all people usually give $20" lolllll ... how professional my nails look like shit theyre mis shaped. Alll different lengths and the color isn't what I asked for... Disappointing! My mom and my aunt went out to get our nails done for my aunts birthday and it was one of our worst experiences!! We have never been treated with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. The owner was doing my aunts nails and was pushing for a nail color that my aunt did not want. When my aunt refused that color and picked the one she wanted, the nail shape was off, the polish was slapped on thick and just looked very off putting. I originally came in to get full set gel nails, but I was very surprised that it was $65, so I just went with a manicure. The technician that worked on me seemed very distracted and seemed like she was rushing to finish. She did not fill the nail polish to my cuticle, so it left an ugly gap and the nail polish left many air bubbles. My moms technician actually seemed friendly compared to the others, but even then, our expectations were not met. We paid $15 each for manicures when you can pay less for a higher quality manicure. Overall, we were very disappointed. Also, it seemed very strange that they made us pay beforehand when everyone else was paying after they got their nails done. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for about 3 years now and I'm always VERY happy with the work they do. The employees are courteous and friendly. I'm really disappointed to see some of the reviews on here that are bashing this great place. The one from Rory on 12/13/18 is just silly. While it's possible that the lady at the counter was rude to her (I've never experienced anything like that, but hey, we all have bad days now and again) I think it's absolutely laughable that this person is complaining about the nail salon because she broke a nail and her nails are growing out way too fast. The nail techs can't help it if you break a nail "not even a week later" and they certainly can't control how fast your nails grow!!! I hope anyone reading these negative reviews doesn't take such nonsense to heart. I would totally recommend them. In fact, I plan on going there later today which is how I ended up writing this review.... I was just googling their info to see what time they closed today and came across the yelp page in the google search and thought I'd leave a nice review since I've been a happy customer for years now. read more

Had a great pedicure, but they need to get somene who knows how to handle the front desk and phone. Very rude and not helpful. I wanted to know who had given me my last pedicure and the response was "how would I know that?" Also hung up with saying good bye or thank you. I called back and cancelled my appointment. They turned me away because they refuse to do facials on men even though I wanted a womens facial just to remove black heads and never asked for a mens facial. Then when I called in my complaint the woman on the phone called me an ugly woman and proceeded to tell me they dont offer facials even though their sign states they do. Also after the fact someone told me they arent great sanitary wise so over all wouldnt recomend at all. If there was a negative star review id hit it. read more

I've been coming to Aura for a few years now. I have acrylics and they do a great job on them every single time. I'm always happy with how they look and how long they last. I have never had one break. They last for weeks with no lifting ever. And I have to admit, I love the bonus shoulder rub they give you while you're getting your nails done. Definitely below expectations.... 65$ for full set with gel polish. Extremely uneven shaping ... polish isn't neatly painted all the way. Had to ask her to fix the shape 6 times... still she was not careful and did not pay attention to the shape or consistency and all the nails are extremely un even. Tried to be polite but she did not care about my concerns.... very unprofessional. No one should pay that much for below mediocre nails. There are many other places cheaper and sooooo much better. I have gone to different nail spas, I totally put this Salon above others, the people are always welcoming with or without an appointment. I have had nails in pretty good shape and other times I've gone too long and I'm a mess, anyway it goes they help me out. They are courteous and do as you wish but not too much chatter. I am relaxed and feel well cared for. There was a day I was in a rush and they got my nails all set in no time. What a lovely spot to have a manicure and pedicure. The staff make you feel so welcomed. You are treated like a queen....and im sure even the men feel like kings. I had wanted an acrylic full set with gel polish but they don't do acrylic. And because of that I got gel. Which cost $65. $20 more than if I went elsewhere. I won't be going back read more

Love it here!! They offer great services and the price is right. I got a gel mani with nice lotion and a quick massage for $30 and the woman who did my nails was wonderful and was very particular to make sure they all looked perfect. I'd recommend this place to anyone! read more

Worst salon I've ever been too, walked in and the lady sitting at the counter was automatically rude. One of my nails broke not even a week later and are already growing out way too fast. I stopped in for a pedi and wax. Nikki took care of me. I liked her a lot. Very sweet and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing and very neat and clean. The ONLY thing I had to say negative was the price for a wax was ridiculous! 25.00! I have never paid more than $12-15 for a wax. When I left I paid a total of 61.00. Ill gladly go back for a pedi, but I will never get any other services there read more
