DO NOT COME HERE. This was one of the worst pedicures I have ever gotten before I was rushed first thing when I walked up to the building. I went woth my mom and my dad, me and my mom where getting the same thing and have the same opinion on everything we got done. Other than the fact she got her brows waxed and even then still missed some of the main parts of hair she wanted waxed. I walked in to choose my color and got rushes to choose a color I didn't want. The spa treatment wasn't awful but could have been more gentle. He was very aggressive with the nail file on my toes and fingers. The actual pedicure is awful and streaky. I absolutely hate it. I decided I wanted my nails done too and didn't get to really choose that color either I was rushed into picking one out that I didn't like. The experience was absolutely horrible I could barely understand anything the male said to me behind the mask and the fact he knew very little English. While doing my nails he cut my finger quite badly to the point it bleed the rest of the time and he didn't do a good job on them. sloppy work . I took my son and I in for a pedicure . the cost was $38 a piece . both mail techs were quick to with the pedicure particularly the stones and heat wraps . it was a slow Sunday with only 2 other individuals . no excuse for sloppy work . this happened prior when I came In a month ago . I decided to give it another go since my son wanted to go . I would not recommend . Warning!! I would not ever frequent this shop again. With a pre-wedding group, booked a manicure and pedicure for my daughter (the bride) and myself along with 3 other manicures. They were fast - felt like I was in a factory. The pedicure was okay - I asked that they not trim too short and they they hardly trimmed anything at all and I needed to have her go back and trim a few more. During the pedicure, she kept asking about the manicure and trying to confirm in about the 7 words of English she knew that I wanted gel for my manicure. I very clearly and insistently said, 'I do not want gel as it ruins my nails. I just want polish.' We proceeded to the nail station and she tried to get one of the assistants to go get the gel version of the color I wanted (I had no idea what she was saying). The assisted questioned her and then ask me (in English) and I said, 'no...I absolutely do not want gel.' My girl was clearly annoyed and then didn't shape my nails or much of anything. She basically just put the polish on not even getting full coverage on each nail leaving the very susceptible to peeling and chipping. By the next morning, my nails were a mess...should have taken the polish off and just done myself but I was out of time. So unless you want to feel like you are just one in a factory and don't care about the quality of the final result, take your business elsewhere! read more

We were in Northampton on vacation, and my nail polish was getting horribly chipped, which I hate...so I decided to get a quick manicure at Lucky Nails. I am afraid it has now spoiled me for the nail place I usually go to at home. They did a MUCH better job than what I'm used to. I agree with the previous reviewer that it was a pretty no-nonsense mani, which was fine with me, as I didn't want to spend too much time there. They have a large variety of nail polish colors; I settled on an essie polish (my current favorite brand) in a color that I have at home, so I can touch it up when it gets chipped (yeah, I know, I'm neurotic). The man who did my nails was very nice; we talked a little bit during my manicure. I think he's the owner of the place, but I'm not 100% sure. The others working there didn't seem to be speaking with their customers, but I'm guessing it's because they may not speak English all that well. Also, I don't know if they used some magic potion on my nails or if their dryers just work exceptionally well, but my nails were dry within only a few minutes. That never happens at the place I go to at home. I am impressed. read more

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go to this place to have your nails done....I have caught a bad toe nail fungus which required a podiatrist to prescribe medication and the receiptionist told me that 4 or 5 other women caught it there also....plus 2 of my cleaning girls....find a place where they used brand new equipment and than use it only on yourself.....this goes for finger nails and toe nails....Good Luck!!! read more

Lucky Nails is a nice place to go when you need a quick no-nonsense mani. I say no-nonsense because the lady did not talk to me she would just tap which hand she needed to work on. I went with my mom, who told me that Lucky Nails is THE PLACE to go according to her teacher friends, and I can see why. You don't need an appointment, just show up, sit down, and wait a few minutes for 'em to dry and you are out. The owner had the cutest little girl who was walking through the nail salon and she's about 1 and a half years old. She will probably run this place someday, I don't see it going out of business as it was filled with the ladies ranging in ages from tweens to mid-fifties when I was there. They have about 10 pedicure tubs and while I did not get a pedi there, I would definitely come back to get one because the massage portion looked great from what I could see. Went there looking foward to a gel manicure. As soon as I walked in not one person greeted us and the place smelt like dirty feet. I went to go pick my color and they told me they don't do it like that and I have to sit down then pick the color. I did as they suggested and was then rushed to pick the color I wanted. I also asked to keep the length of my nails as they were but they cut them down as short as possible. The color I picked I did not like when they started to apply it to my nails. I asked to change it and they insisted the color would get better. Once they were done he filed my nails taking off all the side of the gel polish (Makes it easy to chip). I went back 3 days later because 5 of them were already lifting up and chipping. read more

I was in town to do a girly weekend with a friend and we thought to try a new place. I took in account there was a sign do it they were repairing there walls. The minute I walked in I thought it was unprofessional for at least 5 of there workers just sitting around. A few girls were sitting in the pedicure places on their chair, another, watching tv and the other sleeping in the chair. The pedicure chair looked relatively clean, and they put a liner in the basin. Another customer, came and the worker got off and left dirt where you put your feet. She just put a towel on when a new customer came and did not clean it off. The man who was doing my feet was very rough and I could barely understand him, especially behind a mask. He took out the tools which came out of the sanitizer thing. The thing that grossed me out was the already used nail filer and scrub brush. I also notice they cleaned the rub but another customer came when I was getting my nails done , and reused the liner. I had the worst pedicure, not base color coat and it's already chipped off after barely 2 weeks. I have had pedicures last over a month and I think I have athletes foot. Also they charged me 70 dollars for a gel mani and regular pedi. Outrageous! I never paid that. Don't ever come here. Wicked Dirty read more

Being new to town and desperately needing a manicure after a long distance packing and move I came across a coupon for Lucky Nails & Spa in Westfield. I cut the coupon and went for my first manicure here in Massachusetts. When I went in and was assigned my nail tech, I immediately showed her the coupon which was for $5 off of a gel w/free French Color manicure. I asked if I could switch the French for the American and she said not with the coupon so I just went with the French and told her I would do the American next time. When it came time to pay, I was then told that I couldn't use the coupon because it wasn't good for MY manicure with French tips it was only good for some other service of gel manicure with French Tips. Well, to me this was a clear case of "bait and switch." Also, when most manicures run between $20 - $25, this one was $30. Now one week later the majority of my nails are chipping. Needless to say, I won't be back to Lucky Nails & Spa. read more

I have been going to Lucky Nails for about 10 years, and have usually had a great experience. I've been getting shellac for the past several months, and they do a nice job. Their pedicures are also great. I went to another salon in Westfield once, and I will never stray from Lucky again, if I can help it! The only reason there is a star is because it has to be chosen. Today, while on vacation I decided to treat myself to a mani/pedi and at the insistence of my niece I went to Lucky Nails.. I walked in and everything was ok, sat in the chair after choosing my color. When the woman came over to start the pedicure, her first comment was about the color I chose. I can't wear outrageous or dark colors on my nails due to my job, so I had chosen a nice subdued tone. She immediately looked at the woman next to her and started talking in her native tongue. Then after asking if I wanted the deluxe pedicure and I told her no, she did the same thing with the other woman looking at me. At no time did the woman who was doing my mani/pedi speak with me except to ask for additional services. All I wanted was a basic mani/pedi and I walked out with results that I could have done myself. Very disappointed with the results. read more
