Everything about my experience was 5 stars! Making my appointment was easy and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful with finding a time that worked for me. When I arrived for my appointment I was very taken with the lovely location, very bright and clean, and greeted like an old friend by Deirdre at the desk. She made me feel comfortable and welcome while I waited for my appointment with Tammy. Tammy greeted me warmly and promptly at my scheduled time. This was by far one of the most painless Brazilian waxes I've ever had in my life. She was quick and professional and made the experience relaxing. When we were finished I was a little surprised because it seemed to go by quickly and the spots that normally make me hold my breath anticipating some pain were easy and painless. Massage was average. Got a hot stone massage and several times the stones were scorching! That has never happened to me before. What I did not like was that the table and blankets were cold. She had the window open and not only was it cold in the room, it was noisy from the traffic. I asked her to close it and she said it was a Covid law. This place is gorgeous. There were 6 girls, they schedule us from 1pm - 5:00. It was the best four hours...ever. We started in the hot tub for an hour. Then each of us had our individual services. I had a pedicure (thought it was strange that it didn't include a massage or a bath for my feet) and a 30 minute massage. Mark, the owner, was my masseuse. Un-freakin-believable. We all left with huge smiles on our face...and so so relaxed. Since we were there so long, we ordered food next door and the receptionist picked it up for us. Great touch! Here comes the best part. At the end of the day, when it was time to pay, five of us split the cost of the bride-to-be's services. Somehow I paid an extra $60. I didn't think anything of it until Mark called me to tell me he owed me money. I couldn't believe that someone was that honest and willing to give me my money! A splendid surprise! I knew I wanted to get a facial on our vacation. (I mean who doesn't want to be pampered on their one year anniversary vacation?) The lovely woman at the front desk at the Porches, where we were staying.. recommended going to InTouch Day Spa. Thankfully it was a beautiful day... the weather was beautiful.. the leaves in the midst of their fall change.. so when I finally got to InTouch (I got a little turned around), I was sooooooo pleasantly surprised.. The beautiful deck overlooking the River, taking in the sights.. the sounds of such serenity! It instantly put me into a relaxed state! I was welcomed with a yet another beautiful smile at the front desk.. and proceeded to get a relaxing and JUST what I needed facial! OH my... The Spas energy is high.. and the natural finishes (the wood ceiling.. and all the natural light) is a great way to start your visit to the spa! If I worked at this Spa.. I would want to get there early to sit on the deck... listen to the water falling and meditate to the sunrise. It was THAT awesome. read more

This is a beautiful salon, but I'm writing this review to tell people about the great experience I had with my hair stylist, Anthony Leo. Anthony is amazing - he is experienced (he used to run his own salon in New York state), and really knows what he's doing with hair, but he also takes the time to talk to me about what style I want and what style I can realistically maintain. Anthony is sweet and funny and I can't imagine having anyone else cut and color my hair. He treats everyone as an individual, and takes the time to make sure you're totally satisfied with his work. We talked before my latest cut, then he cut it wet and later dry. I love the way my hair turned out! And a week after my haircut, as the style has settled in, I think it looks better and better! I'm from Sydney and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a salon that could give me a haircut of similar quality. I was very wrong as i have been here three times and have always left very satisfied. Anthony Leo is very experienced and I will definitely be getting all my haircuts here when I am in the area. The massages are also great despite being somewhat pricey. Update: I'm afraid at this point I have opted to travel to New York instead. I was told to update this review by my teacher haha...While Anthony Leo is very friendly and I have received pleasant cuts, the process (he talks a lot and doesn't do a great job cleaning up) is something you will have to get use to. read more

Nice people, but very expensive for what it is. I went in and asked for a deep tissue massage. It was anything but deep tissue - more like rubbing oil on my back. I'm usually not a forward person, but I kept asking politely if the massage therapist would mind staying in a particular spot and putting as much pressure as she could on it. She said "I'm trying" and didn't increase the pressure. At one point, she asked if I thought a hot stone might help. I thought, why not give it a shot. She brought in a decidedly cold rock and pressed against my back with it. I suppose it was slightly more pressure than she was able to do with her fingers, but not much more, because it was still her fingers doing the pressing. I won't be going back, but if you don't like pressure in your massages, it might still be worth going. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect going through the doors of Intouch- the outside is nothing that screams lavish getaway nor relaxation. It's in a plain building 5 feet from a curve in the road, without windows to draw you in. But man, once you enter the doors, you are in for a treat. I've gone to Intouch multiple times in the last year for hair cuts, hair colorings, and massages. In every experience, the staff tries to make sure that the customer knows they have the power of veto and sits down with the customer before hand to make sure that they're on the same page. In particular, for haircuts, I was in love from the get-go. Most haircuts I had gotten before Intouch, the hairdresser would scarcely listen to my pleas, all the while rushing around and trying to get started. It could not be more different at Intouch. The first time, my hairdresser Jen sat me down, combed out my hair, and asked me questions about my preferences of styling, what my morning routine was, what I was looking for, how I usually got my hair cut. When she started, I could just relax- I knew she would take care of me. I've always been happy leaving Intouch. For massages, they apply the same ideas. They ask for your opinions, make sure you're comfortable, and don't make you fret about any time limit. It's for relaxation, it's not simply a business transaction. This is helped along by the gorgeous interior, which looks out onto the river and makes you feel like you're in the woods of VT rather than on a main route road in a college town. In short, get an appointment, return soon, and then go again. You'll always be satisfied. read more

What can I say about InTouch but that it is a wonderful place for massages. The owner and the staff were wonderful, thoughtful, and incredibly patient. "Patient?", you ask. Patient. Why? Because I chose it as the place to treat my mom to her first massage.... My anxious, overly talkative mother who does not like the idea of being touched. I could go into detail, but all I need to say is that not only was my massage incredible, but my mother was treated so well that she left saying it felt "like strength training for her body and soul". I returned later that week for another massage, and this masseuse was just as skilled as the first. Even better, the massage took place outdoors, on their beautiful brook-side deck. My mother, sister, and I all descended on In Touch Day Spa for pre wedding services (mani/pedi, hair/makeup test, facials). I am an avid spa goer. My mother and sister are not. In Touch Day Spa was able to balance all our needs and services in a calm and professional manner. I can not express my immense gratitude for the staff of In Touch Day Spa for their welcome, services, and customer service. Dedire gives the BEST hugs! I arrived with a giant knot in my neck (wedding tension!). Mark was able to fit in a quick 15 min massage to ease the knot - which greatly improved my mobility and mood! On to mani/pedis, facials, and hair test. Jenn was AMAZING. I brought some pictures of sample hair - and she immediately caught on to what I wanted. Crystal did an wonderful job on my nails -- I was very impressed! Those two lovely ladies also showed up the next day at our rooms at 6 AM ready to get to work on wedding prep. The location is calming. In the fall, as the leaves are changing, to have a moment to sit back and enjoy the sites was a great treat. My wedding day hair and make up were just amazing! Thank you Jenn! And combined Crystal's humor helped make the day start off all the best way possible. It was like hanging out with wonderful friends - while getting hair and make up done. Let me preface the following by saying that I have been getting Brazilian waxes for almost 10 years. Never have I encountered such a kind, accommodating and professional environment in all my waxing experiences - and believe me when I say that there have been many. In dire need of a wax but constricted by an inability to only schedule on very short notice and access only to places I could get to by foot, I came across In Touch, specifically the receptionist Barbara. When I explained my dilemma to her she went to extreme lengths to help me figure out a time when I could come in even after I was forced to cancel a couple hours before my appointment because of a last minute scheduling conflict. When I was finally able to make it to the spa at a time that worked for Tammy, the wonderful woman in charge of waxing, I was welcomed with open arms - literally. Not only was the hospitality top rate, but was hands down the least painful waxing experience I've ever had. I didn't flinch once and Tammy made me feel so comfortable and at ease in a situation that few women look forward to. I had an unexpected weekend to myself, and on a whim, decided to get a massage after a long and stressful week. I called In Touch in the morning, and Dierdre was able to book an appointment that afternoon. I'm not a frequent massage recipient, so I don't have a lot of experience to compare with, but I couldn't be happier with my treatment. I arrived a few minutes early (which is good if you've never been before, as there is a form to fill out.) As other reviews mentioned, the exterior does not reflect the simple beauty of the interior, which is tasteful and not overdone. I was introduced to Christine, my masseuse, who asked if I would like to have my appointment outdoors. As it was a beautiful day, I thought, why not? I made the right choice. The sounds of the brook made the massage that much more relaxing. Christine did a fabulous job. I had a stubborn knot in my shoulder that Christine was able to make go away without making me feel like I had been beaten up afterward. She is worth seeking out, if you go. I love this place! I come here for my massages and hair. The woman I go to for my hair is wonderful! I don't trust anyone else with my hair! I've gone to a couple different people for my massages and both of them were wonderful. I did a full body massage and felt very relaxed. One time I was massaged outside by the water which is very calming and relaxing. Another time I had to get massaged inside because it was during the summer and kids were playing loudly in the water. It was still a very relaxing time and they played music for me. They are located in a perfect area and it is so beautiful inside. They are extremely nice and sometimes you can be greater by the family dog. He is very friendly, lazy and cute. The prices are a little on the high side but you get what you pay for. You get quality work and i've never left unhappy. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Would not go here for eyebrow waxing again! My eyebrows were far from even and there were very evident mistakes (areas that should not have been waxed that were and vice versa). Maybe because the guy doing the waxing was talking the whole time...! Was definitely not worth $18. I can only hope my brows grow back quickly! read more

Really wasn't happy with the service. I went for a 30min mini facial. The first 10 my skin was cleasn d that was fines 20 remaining min was spent doing nothing. 10 min she steamed my face and the other 10 she put a mask on and just let it sit there. I was expecting more of massaging the mask in, not being stared at for 20 min. After she took the mask off a sunscreen was applied very roughly. Wow! What a great experience. Never done this before but I was given a gift certificate for a facial and haurcut. Anthony was fantastic. I learned a lot about how to take better care of my skin. Anthony did a procedure called microderm abrasion which takes old skin off and let's new skin grow back. My skin was soft and definitely looks better. I would definitely recommend this place. My sister and I stumbled upon this small town gem trying to find a place to get a relaxing massage on a Sunday In the sleepy town area of Pittsfield. It was a nice scenic drive from our hotel but well worth it once we got there!!! The atmosphere was friendly as well as the owner who gave me my deep tissue massage. The view from the waiting area was breath taking and if it wasn't so cold we definitely would have taken a dip in the hot tub. I've been to InTouch twice now and had great experiences both times. My first visit I had a 60 min Swedish/Relaxation massage outside with Alicia at the end of September. It is a beautiful spot and Alicia was great about helping to work out some of the tension in my back/shoulders. For my second visit, I came in recently with my sister. We called the day before and were still able to come in together at the same time next day. She got the 60 min Swedish/Relaxation massage, while I did a Manual Dermabrasion Facial with Anthony to try to clear up some acne scarring. Anthony was awesome - super friendly and even let me try out the Microdermabrasion (typically a $150 service), with my Manual Dermabrasion for the regular $50 price. The Microdermabrasion uses a DiamondTome wand to exfoliate and simultaneously vacuums away the dead skin. The facial as a whole was relaxing, and Anthony was also helpful in explaining everything and offering follow-up skin care advice. For sure will be back again soon! read more
