Chelsea came over to The Porches to give me and my partner massages. She was lovely -- professional, warm and relaxed. 5 stars!

WIth over 34 years of experience, she knows how to improve any condition I mention to her. While in her care, I have not had a cold or flu, I have overcome the pain of plantar fasciitis, and I no longer worry about flare-ups of rosacea. Dr. Zhao genuinely cares about the well being of her patients. She listens to my concerns and we discuss treatment, be it acupuncture, acupressure or Chinese herbals. I highly recommend Dr. Zhao for anyone seeking pain management or overall good health and stamina.

I'd been told by several people that acupuncture might not work, but it wouldn't hurt me. But it did hurt me. On my third visit to Zhao something went wrong and when I left the lower part of my face was quite numb. This got worse. Zhao said she couldn't understand what had happened, and that nothing like this had happened before. The numbness moved to the left side of my face and left side of my mouth. It continues now, two months after the session that caused it. I have seen a neurologist, who said it might go away, or it might not. To anyone considering acupuncture, my advice would be to think hard about it--it can damage you. To anyone considering seeing Xingning Zhao, I would say, Don't.

Ryan Less has been treating me for two months. When I came into his office, I was hunched over like…read morethe hunchback of Notre Dame. Recently diagnosed with a very rare connective tissue disorder, which includes subluxation of my larger joints such as my shoulders, my knees, and my hips. Chronic migraines, plus having bilateral meniscal tears, runners knee bilaterally, and Baker's cyst, and also recently diagnosed with stage 3 of stage 4 advanced Osteoarthritis. I was not convinced that Acupuncture would help, in fact I was told by some medical professionals, that if I was lucky, it might do some good, but Due to the complexity of My rare diagnosis of H/EDS, coupled with the other issues stated above, the likelihood that I would receive any pain reduction would be minimal. But I had to try something! 2 1/2 years ago, I was hiking up Mount Greylock! Riding motorcycles, kayaking, and riding horses. All on a regular basis. In just 18 short months, I was literally no longer able to physically get on a kayak, get on a horse never mind ride it with any stability, could not get on a motorcycle without physical assistance, and had begun to use a walker/cane/crutches when at my worst. I was actually contemplating at 46 years old, due to the debilitating pain that I was in literally from the top of my head to the end of my toes, if this was as good as life was going to get, could I continue On? My pain when at its worst was crippling. And I am not being dramatic. I have 100% bone on bone exposure in areas of my knees, my shoulders, and my hips. I take no narcotic pain medication because it does not help at all with the condition. And due to the laxicity in my joints, again due to the connective tissue disorder, narcotics would make me more vulnerable to injury due to lack of coordination issues. After just five short visits , where I did not feel any difference at all, I remember going home after the fifth visit thinking, oh my God, I just got out of my car and the bones in my feet did not feel like they were grinding together. After my sixth visit, I noticed a significant reduction in the global pain that I have due to my condition and above complicated health profile. I would recommend Ryan Less, to anyone suffering from a condition that results in chronic overall pain that doctors cannot seem to help you with. It is literally the least invasive, least expensive, most result oriented treatment I have ever received in my entire life! If you can smoke cigarettes, you can afford to go to Acupuncture, if you can buy a 30 pack of beer twice in a week, you can afford Acupuncture. If you can afford, going to doctors, and specialists, and paying your co-pays and not getting any better time after time year after year, you can afford to go to Acupuncture. This man literally improved the quality of my entire life! And I cannot recommend his services enough. He may have very well saved my life and he probably doesn't even know it. How many years have you gone to the same doctor? Different specialists? Alternative treatments? With little to no results? How many medicines are you on to "manage pain", migraines, orthopedic related pain, chronic muscle, tendon, joint pain? I have taken many if not all prescribed medications, from anti-inflammatories, over the counter, prescription meds, and yes even narcotics and Neurontin. Nothing, and I mean nothing has helped. I have now been "global pain free" with a sincere reduction in 80% of my debilitating pain for almost 2 weeks! Ryan does not claim to be able to heal injuries, cure diagnosis is and so on. I still have multiple bilateral meniscal tears in my knees, a Baker's cyst that pops up sporadically, runners knee, and recently a torn rotator cuff. I have been in physical therapy long term, under doctors care long-term, under the care of specialists with some of the top orthopedic doctors in Berkshire County for years. And not one of them has brought me anywhere near the reduction in pain and improvement in the quality of my life as Ryan has. I have recommended him to dozens of people at this point. My friends, peers, and family have noticed my entire demeanor has improved. And guess what, I'm actually sleeping almost through the entire night. I have not slept through the entire night without getting up due to pain waking me out of a sound sleep 20 to 30 times per night for the last 2+ years! I am finally getting restorative sleep, I am finally able to get out of bed, put my feet on the floor and just walk like a normal person to the bathroom. Without cringing when my feet hit the floor due to the substantial pain I was in before entering in to Ryan's care. I simply cannot recommend him highly enough. The Berkshires are full of hidden treasures. Ryan Less Is one of them.

Liz was so welcoming and attentive to my daughter; it made her first massage experience a 10 out of 10. We both left feeling completely relaxed and happy. I walked in and she greeted me right away and we spent a few minutes going over the forms I filled out online ahead of my appointment. It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!

Mind and Body is such a hidden gem, I'm so happy I found it! I've been experiencing neck pain and…read more"knots" in my shoulders for several days with no relief, so I decided to try a massage. I used Yelp to find a masseuse close to work and came across Mind and Body, only 1 block away. I texted (and emailed) as indicated on the website for a last-minute/same-day appointment for the 30 min neck and shoulder massage. They were able to squeeze me in this afternoon, and I already feel worlds better. My masseuse (who I believe was Jessica) was great, and was able to talk me through her plan of attack once I described my symptoms. After just 30 min, I feel significant relief in my neck and shoulders- she was very knowledgeable and professional, and did an amazing job. As for the office overall, it is a bit confusing to locate- once in the elevator, you need to press "M" (not 5) to get to the mezzanine level. As other reviews indicate, you are able to hear what's going on outside your room because the room walls do not reach the high ceilings, but this didn't bother me. My room was private, warm and cozy. I also liked that she didn't use a crazy amount of scented oil- sometimes I've left massages feeling like I need to shower. I was able to use my Student ID for a discount, and I did see that there were some specials offered on the Yelp page. I was also asked to pay cash (I believe their machine was down) but they told me this when I made my appointment so I had time to run to the ATM. I absolutely recommend Mind and Body, and I will definitely be back!

No other massage can even compare to these - Victoria is caring, perceptive, and knowledgeable and put me at ease immediately on both visits. Plagued by lower-back pain every few months, both massages have done wonders for my back and the rest of my body. A few other things: they are extremely accommodating with online vouchers. No hassles whatsoever. Scheduling is a breeze (I was able to make both appointments during the week after work). A few other reviews mention the business being in an office - it's since moved to another part of the same building and it's a huge step up: dim, quiet, and a perfect atmosphere for a massage. Really lucky to have a place like this so close. Can't recommend it enough.
