Hot my very first full bikini wax, and it was amazing! Very little pain! And she talks to you the whole time witch helps keep your mind off things. I was even unaware of when she even started pulling the wax off! Comfortable and relaxing area, I couldve fallen asleep. Not gonna be able else to go anywhere else after this experience! read more

My daughter has long hair and had 4" taken off ... the cut looked good until further inspection after a wash on her own. Her hair was uneven. Longer on one side than the other by a noticeable amount when wet, her hair has waves to it. I've been to this location for pedicures as well. I'm not overly impressed with the greeting or friendliness of this salon. A manicurist complained about the management which I think is unprofessional. Also, I expect suggestions when I have questions and not open ended responses without direction regarding your extensive list services from the front desk. Training in sales and customer service may improve repeat business. Receptionist are the gate keeper and a vital role to customer experience. I'd give it another try... maybe. read more

Excellent service !! Great place for locals or travelers. Full service salon with hair, pedicures, manicures, facials, massage, waxing, laser skin rejuvenation & hair removal. The staff is experienced & knowledgeable. I was visiting from Florida, and way overdue for a pedicure & haircut. Amy did such a great job on my hair !!! She gave me great advice with some useful tips for styling & care of my hair. I was amazed at how great my hair looked !! I feel like a new person !! The pedicure was very relaxing and the pedicurist was very meticulous in her style ! I will definitely visit this salon again if I am back in town :) read more

I went here with my daughter for her first spa day. We had mini facials and a massage and a pedicure. The prices are in line with what I'm used to in the Boston area, and I got great service for that price. The facial and massage (Paula) were great. I went back myself for a longer massage later in the vacation week. This is easy to get to, good parking, and I would go again for the facial and massage. Gel polish manicures are avg. to a few $$ more for like services in the area. Very professional/pleasant on the phone. When I arrived for services I was curtly informed that gel polish removals are an additional $10--strike one. The nail technician was nice but a little inexperienced. Nail shaping/filing was okay but there was a scrap of polish on one of the nails which I did not notice until I left the salon--strike two. Also the edges are not smooth, gel or top coat finish doesn't appear to be evenly applied and there was a bubble in the polish on one of the nails--strike three. The "spa" atmosphere does not appear to be worth the prices--rooms are small with a separate general area for showering/dressing. Decor is nice but not upscale. read more

This is NOT the place to get your hair and makeup done. The make up artists are completely inexperienced. They do not use good product and do not know how to enhance the features on your face. I could have done my make up better with my eyes closed! Now that I am talking about inexperienced people, let's get to the women that do you hair. They have no idea how to make someone's hair look good. They use old fashion curling irons and use extremely cheap hairspray. The amount of hairspray that was used in my hair might have killed an ozone layer. It be honest. Once my hair and makeup were complete at this salon, I wanted to go home and jump in the shower. If you want to look sleezy and cheap then this is the salon for you. read more

I came here for my brother's wedding. The woman who did my hair did a fantastic job and was very friendly. My hair stayed in tact for most of the night and even after a night of dancing. Unfortunately, I was not happy with my makeup. Apparently the owner of the salon was supposed to be my make up but something came up? I was sitting there waiting and then another girl came over (Susie?) and apologized and said she was stuck doing my make up and is not really the usual person that does it? It definitely didn't make me feel comfortable hearing that. I told her I wanted light makeup and nothing "caked on" I don't even wear a lot of make up in general besides primer and light foundation. As I was sitting in the chair, she used a few tools and I didn't realize it but she was packing on all this makeup crap on my face. In the "light" in the salon, it looked fine but as soon as I went back to the hotel and looked in the mirror, I noticed my face complexion was super light and didn't even match the color of my skin which was tanner. I looked like a clown!! I didn't really notice it until I went to the ceremony and looked in the mirror and noticed the mascara she put on kept running under my eyes so it looked like I had two black eyes. My face was super cakey with a completely different complexion of my skin. Luckily the ceremony was where my hotel room was so I ran back to the room and took off all the make up and put on my own make up myself!!! I even saw two pictures when I had the salon makeup and then my own makeup and it's a complete 360!!! I don't even think the girl understood what I was looking for and used my face as a pallet rather than I am trying to look presentable for my own brother's wedding. It was so embarrassing for the ceremony to walk in and realize I looked like a made up clown. I'm not even sure what product they used, but it made my skin dry and my lips felt itchy. It was such a waste of my time and my money. I even gave her a tip thinking at that time it was done well but I wasn't totally kidding myself as soon as I went into natural light in my room and at the ceremony. I'm not sure if I would return, especially after this make up disaster! read more

I have always been more than satisfied with Essencials Day Spa. I have been a customer there for many years now, enjoying services from facials, mani/pedis, massages, waxing, to laser hair removal. The Spa Owner, Kelie, has always been extremely kind to me and has gone above and beyond so that every time I leave their spa, I feel like a million bucks! Their staff is sweet, helpful, and always provides excellent guidance on products and beauty tips (unfortunately not my forte, but I'm getting better). My boyfriend and I have had massages at the same time, and their staff accommodated us beyond expectation to ensure we had a special experience as a couple. My boyfriend always felt very comfortable, being new to spa services, and has continued to return given the quality of service he has received. I look forward to continuing with laser hair removal as it is such an amazing service to have available to us in Berkshire County under such affordable and pleasant circumstances. I went to Essencial to try them. I had purchased gift certificates for friends in the past and wanted to try them myself. I started with their spa treatment to remove facial hair. I have never been to a spa that had such a relaxing atmosphere for services. Customer comfort and attention were definitely a priortity.
