I really try to never give poor reviews as I know small businesses are struggling. Sadly, my experience at Nail Pro was negative. Furthermore, their sanitary practices are questionable and may lead to infections. I requested a gel manicure. The manicurist seemed annoyed by my presence and was a bit rough with me. The manicure itself was poorly done. The nail polish wasn't spread on the entire nail. They weren't nicely shaped. In fact, my nails were filed down so much that I was afraid I might start bleeding. Nail Pro sanitizes their instruments using a few squirts of rubbing alcohol. Realistically, these instruments should be sanitized using an autoclave. I am concerned about the potential for infection. In the end, it was honestly the worst (and potentially most unsafe) manicure I have ever received. read more

Since the spa's move, the studio space has markedly improved. It's clean and quiet enough. I wish I could say that the services had also improved. But they haven't. The man who took "care" of me this afternoon is affable and kind. However, he's lousy nail tech. My pedicure was a disaster -- there was paint everywhere from my ankles down. I took it all off just as soon as I got home. My finger nails were no better -- large swaths of nail (on the sides and at the very tips) were bare or streakily polished; cuticles were covered; and there were gel dribbles on the tops. The nail technician (who I'm guessing is the same one as mentioned below) who did my pedicure and manicure was SUPER rough with my toes & fingers. The pedicure was so bad and he cut TWO of my fingers & proceeded to blame it on me having a lot of cuticle to cut??? I had to be the one to acknowledge my skin being cut and literally gushing blood before he even made a move to put anything on it. I asked to wash my hands and get the blood off and he told me not yet? But at that point I had enough, washed my hands (and tended to the gushing blood) and opted out of the remainder of the service. Today was my first and last time here. I usually go to the smaller salon in the mall, but they closed... so I figured I try this place. My nail tech wasn't very friendly and at times she was downright rude. I asked for my ring finger nail to be gold glitter. When she started polishing, she forgot. I asked her again and her reply was "yeah. I know what I'm doing." And something about putting the color underneath cause it looks better. I thought "ok, I'll let her do her thing. She knows what I want to have" but then she put the "glitter" polish on... it's like 6 flecks of glitter on each nail. The polish is also super streaky, and on my fingertips. She filed my nails after sealing the polish, too, which I'm pretty sure breaks the seal on the end of the nails... so I guess we'll see how long this even lasts. When I checked out she told me the total and I asked if it was ok to tip on a card (some places aren't set up to do that, so I figured I'd ask so I knew if I had to run to the ATM). Her reply was "yes. But you really should top in cash next time" walked over to the credit card processing machine & mumbled something about a 10% tip- with an attitude. No. Screw you nail pro. I know how much to tip, and I know how I want my nails to look. I'm headed out of the country tomorrow and don't have time to get them fixed. I get my nails done once a year. Yeah, the nail technicians are not all warm and fuzzy, but here are the pros: -I've been there about 6 times in the past 4-5 months. Most of my gel manicures last for at least 2 weeks. -They have a million gel colors -good pedicure chairs with massage, etc And here is why I keep coming back: I have never waited more than 5 minutes for a technician, and their follow the open hours at the mall. I work full time, and I can't always plan ahead. When I need to run out at 7 pm to clean up my paws before a big meeting the next day, they can accommodate me. read more

I went in on a Sunday. This was my third and last time here. It wasn't too busy. I got a gel pedicure. There were two other women who were getting pedicures as well that started at the same time as me. Same pedicures,just not gel. The technician was done with mine in less than 15 minutes while the other 2 women remained in their chairs receiving their pedicures for an additional 10-15 minutes longer. She didn't even remove the dead skin around my toes, gave no massage and I felt no relief after getting it done I usually always do. She was the oldest female technician there. The husband/wife technician seemed very attentive. Wished I was able to get my pedi and fill by one of them. This will be my last time to this nail salon. Today I came in to nail pro for a manicure and was helped by the owner. We went through the whole manicure smoothly and came to getting my nails painted when he noticed that the actual polish, following the base coat, and would not stay on. He removed the polish and we saw lumps on my nails. He told me that my nails were too oily and that the lumps were there when I came in. He began announcing to all of his coworkers and the many other people at the nail salon that it was my fault because my nails were "oily and lumpy" before I came in which was not true. I left Nail pro without getting my nails fixed there because of how rude and unprofessional the owner of this establishment was. Surly nail technician treated me like I was an annoyance and an imposition, kept scolding me and puffing her breath in frustration every time I moved. Applied the wrong nail color and did not like that I asked her to file and shape my nails in the way I liked them. Sorry if you were having a bad day, lady, but I should get a refund for how nasty you were to me. You made me feel terrible when I came to pamper myself and give you business. As many have noted, it can be hit or miss. I haven't had good manis here but the pedis are always excellent, in my opinion. They last a long time and they have many, many colors to choose from. I only had gels once (because I didn't like how debilitated my nail beds were after removing the gels I haven't gotten them again), and I was pleased. The manis are hit or miss. I do think that they chip easily, but that has been my experience with manis from other salons as well, so who knows. Two things that stand out to me about their pedicures: they have the best massage chairs, and they use a plastic wrap in and around the tub area. I don't know if this is just me or what, but the plastic wrap gives me the impression that I am less likely to catch athlete's foot than if I'm just touching the tub, but hey, I have zero basis for this other than I haven't gotten athlete's foot. :-) read more

A man and lady greeted us but was very hostile. I asked for a pedicure and the lady that was doing my feet was very rough with pushing back the cuticles and filing that it hurt. She rushed on the massaged and the painting of the toe nails wasn't good. It got on my cuticles on nails and when I looked closer had spots that were painted nor was the nail itself filed to a shape I have some are round, some square and some with a round corner and square corner. Honestly, I would give this place a zero. Went to get a pedicure and the man working the front desk literally was ignoring me, even though I was standing right in front of where he was sitting! He just kept scrolling thru his phone until I said "Excuse me - I would like to get a pedicure". He told me it would be about 10 minutes, which was fine with me, but then he said I needed to write down my name and phone number. I asked why he needed my phone # when I would be sitting & waiting just a few feet away. He told me that it was required!!??? I mentioned that only 1 person out of 10 or so had listed their phone #, so why is it required? He then stared at me with a loss for words. Needless to say, I placed down the pen and walked out! My mother went to your facility for a pedicure on Sunday (5/5/19) because the usual place she goes to wasn't open. Boy, did she make a mistake! The girl giving her the pedicure wasn't paying attention and butchered her heel! My mother kept quiet wincing in pain all because she's a sweetheart and didn't want to get the girl in trouble that was giving her a pedicure. The girl saw what she did and immediately kept putting papers towels on it to soak up the blood (as pictured.) The 2nd picture is her heel today! She did go to the doctor and you will be receiving a bill from them! She has an infection and is being treated with an antibiotic. I truly hope her infection does not become any worse! She deserves more than her money back! She's also lost time from work due to this! I do not want to see this happen to anyone else, DO NOT visit this place! I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews, other than the fact that it can depend largely on who does your nails. I've been here many times and I would say 8/10 times it is very good. It's just possible to get that one person who cuts your nails weirdly or messes up the paint job, etc. I am always able to make an appointment last minute and never have to wait too long. They have a large selection of colors and will sometimes help you choose if you are struggling. They also once did a special design with diamonds based on a photo I brought in for only $5 extra. You can go to a smaller place and potentially receive better, more personal experience, but it will also be more expensive and you will have to most likely book a week in advance. I'd definitely go back here if I was in the area. read more

Sadly, I must write a negative review. I made an appointment on the advice of a friend. I won't speak to the rudeness from the moment I walked in--that's another side--however I will speak to: I spent $70+tip for a mani/pedi. The pedi was basically a soak in the tub with very little work on my feet; quite rushed. I take fairly good care of my feet but there should have been some pumicing or something for the price I paid. The polish was all over my skin and looked much worse than if I'd done it myself. The next day the polish was chipped and I'd done nothing out of the ordinary...in fact I'm very cautious for 24 hours after a pedi. If I could give no stars I would. I had a squeeze in another pedi at a local place the night before my travels. So I paid twice for a pedicure in two days. The second place did a thorough job and trimmed my nails professionally etc. Mani: went with gel/shellac mani. It was sloppy around the edges...One thumb came completely off on the 4th day of my vacation. The chips and pieces off starting 3 days later have my hands quite embarrassing during my vacation. Note, I've had mani pedis many times from other salons in this area and my gels typically last 3 weeks!!! 3! not 3 days. I was in a bind with an unexpected trip and thus made this appointment. Edit: Jenny was the only good technician there. Since she left they got a biger and fancier place and their service went to shit. Do not go there. They totally ripped me off...im never going back there! Plus i left looking like a 5 year old child did my nails not a "professional" only to have 3 of them fall off within 2 days. I have very mixed feelings about this place. I've had several technicians do my nails here...some are definitely more polite than others. I personally love Jenny. She is very sweet and takes time to explain your options and the prices of it. (And she speaks excellent english) Other than that their staff is pretty rude and harsh when dealing with customers. I would recommend if you can go early in the afternoon like between 1 and 3 you'll be all set. My first time coming here, I went for a French manicure and pedicure, $25 and $30. I was repeatedly asked if I wanted gel and I kept saying no, even though two different people asked me. After I was done, they charged me $75 because I got gel. I asked for no gel multiple times and when I told them that they tried to fight with me saying "no you asked for gel, I heard you" and then it turned into "you have to say no gel here or you get it". So not only do they think they can just charge people whatever they want, they will lie to you and make things up, because there's nothing you can do about it. Terrible customer service. I've been here several times over the years always hit or miss. Never great mind you but good in a pinch because of walk ins. Most the staff are rude. There are 2 I have found who are not. Bacterial Infection. I'd give them 0 stars if I could! First off and foremost they DO NOT properly clean their instruments. So if you don't care about getting infections and contracting possible serious diseases, this is your place! My daughter, a junior at UMass Amherst, went here before heading out to spring break and what did she end up with 24 hrs later...a bacterial infection. Two prescriptions later and a BIG wake up call to anyone who frequents this shoddy establishment, she will never return. When she sent this photo, you can clearly see the male (!ahem!) nail professional (his license I'd like to see), cut the nail way too far below the cuticle line and his polish job....that is also sub par. But worse, he dug into the sides of the nail (a BIG NO NO in procedure). Find some other place, ask to see their sanitizing methods (and if anyone EVER takes implements out of a drawer or a jar...Walk out). This place is disgusting. There was nail "dust" everywhere. The sign said they recently moved to the location near Target, but you wouldn't know it was a new location. My daughter and I got manicures earlier this evening and we left really disgusted. One nail tech was talking on the phone in Vietnamese while she was doing someone's nails. The women who did my nails was very rough and pinched my fingers several times. The file looked really old and the sterilization of metal tools was limited to a dip in a jar. The way she removed my previous shellac manicure was very abrasive and she filed the surface of my nails as well as the polish. After she applied cotton balls and foil she asked me to put my hands under the light used to cure the polish. Part of the plastic from the light melted onto the palm of my left hand. The light for the right hand was filthy. When she discovered the melted plastic, she never apologized, but used several ways to get it off such as warm wash cloth, a file, her nail and the cuticle nippers. To top it off, the polish is uneven and bubbly. It was a lousy job overall and I would be concerned about the cleanliness of the tools. read more

I have been going there for almost two years now like many people mentioned it's hit or miss. I was able to find someone(Maria) who was not rude and did a great Job every time. Unfortunately today will be our last day. Me and my sister always get our nails done together(gel mani,pedi and full set) we spend close to a hundred every time but the lady who did her nails today was very rude. I explained the guy at the front desk that the new lady was rude to my sister and did not do what my sister asked. The reason he gave me is that my sister doesn't speak English. My sister is in college and speaks English very well, she is just a shy person who doesn't like to complain. As many reviewers already noted most of the staff are extremely rude. I think the owner was doing my nails. He not only dunked my hand in a tub of rubbing alcohol to remove my fake nails without telling me how long it was going to take or that he was even going to do that to remove them, but he would also leave randomly when cleaning up my nails and giving me a manicure leaving me unattended and making me wait without telling me or anything. Now if that was it I still probably would not have cared. I maybe would not have came back but I would not have gone out of my way to write this negative review. What the worst and possibly the most humiliating part was when he made me pay in the middle of giving me manicure instead of at the end of my session like every other customer was doing. If I had known sooner that I was the only one who had to do that I would have never given him the dollar tip.
