Looks like a kindergartener painted my nails. Manicurist smelled like a clipped cigarette and kept yelling at me in a foreign language.

Dirty. Unprofessional. Never again!! The manicurist smelled like a clipped cigarette. He was yelling at me the entire time in another language. Half ass job!

I really try to never give poor reviews as I know small businesses are struggling. Sadly, my experience at Nail Pro was negative. Furthermore, their sanitary practices are questionable and may lead to infections. I requested a gel manicure. The manicurist seemed annoyed by my presence and was a bit rough with me. The manicure itself was poorly done. The nail polish wasn't spread on the entire nail. They weren't nicely shaped. In fact, my nails were filed down so much that I was afraid I might start bleeding. Nail Pro sanitizes their instruments using a few squirts of rubbing alcohol. Realistically, these instruments should be sanitized using an autoclave. I am concerned about the potential for infection. In the end, it was honestly the worst (and potentially most unsafe) manicure I have ever received.

I don't know why I went back to this place. The first experience was fine even though the nail tech cut my cuticle. I went back and now I have a terrible gel manicure. I went in at 1030 AM and by 7PM my gel manicure is already peeling off. I paid 35$ along with a tip and now I have to go somewhere else to pay to get this fixed. Also the workers are rude. There are better places in the area to go to.

Super streaky & colored outside the lines. Can't quite get close enough to tell, but it's bad, guys!

Today was my first and last time here. I usually go to the smaller salon in the mall, but they closed... so I figured I try this place. My nail tech wasn't very friendly and at times she was downright rude. I asked for my ring finger nail to be gold glitter. When she started polishing, she forgot. I asked her again and her reply was "yeah. I know what I'm doing." And something about putting the color underneath cause it looks better. I thought "ok, I'll let her do her thing. She knows what I want to have" but then she put the "glitter" polish on... it's like 6 flecks of glitter on each nail. The polish is also super streaky, and on my fingertips. She filed my nails after sealing the polish, too, which I'm pretty sure breaks the seal on the end of the nails... so I guess we'll see how long this even lasts. When I checked out she told me the total and I asked if it was ok to tip on a card (some places aren't set up to do that, so I figured I'd ask so I knew if I had to run to the ATM). Her reply was "yes. But you really should top in cash next time" walked over to the credit card processing machine & mumbled something about a 10% tip- with an attitude. No. Screw you nail pro. I know how much to tip, and I know how I want my nails to look. I'm headed out of the country tomorrow and don't have time to get them fixed. I get my nails done once a year. What a waste of time, money, and my one little luxury. I already know I'll have to fix them myself when I get home. STEER CLEAR!

Today I came in to nail pro for a manicure and was helped by the owner. We went through the whole manicure smoothly and came to getting my nails painted when he noticed that the actual polish, following the base coat, and would not stay on. He removed the polish and we saw lumps on my nails. He told me that my nails were too oily and that the lumps were there when I came in. He began announcing to all of his coworkers and the many other people at the nail salon that it was my fault because my nails were "oily and lumpy" before I came in which was not true. I left Nail pro without getting my nails fixed there because of how rude and unprofessional the owner of this establishment was. I went to the Deerfield nail spa after where Rosie fixed the messed up "base coat" that the owner of nail pro tried to put on. I will never EVER be returning to Nail pro.

V.I.P. Nails--Nailed it Last Saturday, April 12th, I was…read moredue for a manicure. I hadn't been in a New England nail salon in over 7 years. Having lived in Texas for the past 7 years, where there is an overwhelming need for nail salons and one about every two blocks, I was excited to drive past V.I.P. Nails on my way back to the UMASS campus. V.I.P. Nails is located next to the Big Y on University Drive, about a 5-minute drive from campus depending on traffic. The morning before Extravaganja, proved a longer drive for me. I was still excited when I walked into V.I.P. Nails. I was greeted instantly and directed to the 3 walls of possible colors. I must say--they have a great selection. I was directed to table 3, where I would be having my manicure. A manicure costs $14 at V.I.P. nails, an average price--and worth it I must say (continue reading). Once my manicurist sat down I posed the question--"Is it possible to have butterfly nail art on top of my color?" "Of course," she replied. This was an excellent start. I sat back and began my experience at V.I.P. Nails. Pros: - My manicurist, in particular, was the best I've had in a long time. It began the way it always does--nail filing. Honestly, this act has brought be shivers and goose bumps without fail. However, she was gentle and the plasma screen TV with the TLC channel (a guilty pleasure for any woman in a nail salon) eased me past this part. After shaping my nails and prepping them for color, she massaged my hands and arms. This is rare--often the "massages" given at nail salons are sub-par. However, she not only spent over a minute massaging each hand, she spent a minute on each arm and concluded by adding hot towels into the mix! - Now onto color. The desks at V.I.P. nails secured my return visit. I had never seen such an innovative item! My side of the table, facing my manicurist had two secret holes on for my hands. The nail drier is right there! More than typically, the driers are towards the front, where if you had gotten a pedicure, you would have to wobble over there. But the driers where right there, making it almost a machine process of drying, passing hand for my paint, drying, cover polish, drying, nail art, drying. It was amazing! - The nail art. Another manicurist, the nail art specialist, took over after my initial color was done. This woman did a remarkable job. She asked if I could show her a photo on my phone of what I wanted. I thought this was great costumer service. I showed her and she did exactly that--the butterflies on my nails look perfect. (Picture attached). - The overall look of the place was polished. The furniture was brand-new, not to mention stylish and comfortable. The ambiance of the place is friendly and welcoming. They have a bowl of candy and not to mention the three walls covered from top to bottom in color options. Cons: - I will admit to a few things that caused me discomfort. Kiss FM. Perhaps this is a personal thing but I cannot stand Kiss FM--which was the only thing playing in V.I.P. Nails when I was a client. The nonstop Taylor Swift to Dub step to Katy Perry to Robin Thicke was too much. But with the balance of the muted TLC programming, I survived! - Their website should advertise that they prefer cash. As a nail salon customer, I should know this already. However, my mind aside, paying and "tipping" with a card isn't the best thing for a nail salon. Seeing that the tips don't go directly to the people I wanted them too. Shoulda brought cash!

I came to VIP today after confusing the time at my regular place. I needed a soak off and new gel…read moremanicure. They took me as a walk in right away and I was very pleased with the attention to detail and quality of the work. They used a polish-like treatment to remove the old gel polish, which was interesting. It peeled up on its own and there was less scraping/filing. Thank you VIP!
