Booked an appointment here for the first time, and after hearing so many good reviews I was very disappointed with the outcome. The interior and staff are all very nice, but my nails turned out horrible. Each nail is a slightly different shape, the edges are extremely uneven, the nails weren't filed well before applying the top coat so it's bumpy, I'm pretty sure the nail tech forgot a layer on my left hand because those nails are a tiny bit lighter than the others, and the top coat on several nails is smudged (I know it's not my fault, since I didn't touch anything until my tech started the hand massage). I was planning on saying something about the shape after she finished filing them because I didn't want to assume that she would leave them like that. But without even asking me if everything looked okay, she put on the top coat, and at that point I felt like it was too late to ask her to fix it. And I wouldn't even be that upset, because I'm used to touching up my nails when I get home, but this set cost $70 (before tip) (and it would have been $73 but I guess the tech sensed my discomfort and offered me a small discount). This is an obscene amount to charge for simple dip nails, especially of this quality. I was expecting to pay $48 ($8 for dip removal, $40 for dip) but at the end she lets me know that there's a $10 fee for long nails, a $10 fee for almond shape, and a $5 fee for adding a tip to just 2 nails that broke (discounted to $2). This was really baffling to me since my nails were already in an almond shape from my last manicure, and all she did was file them a teeny tiny bit (barely a millimeter). So I'm not sure why I was charged $20 extra for just having longish nails in a shape that didn't even need to be adjusted. Honestly, I would have accepted it, if the quality wasn't awful. This was the most expensive and the most ugly looking manicure I've ever gotten, which I now need to spend over an hour fixing myself. I do not plan on coming back.
I've had a fair share of disappointments from other salons before, but I finally found the BEST nail salon in town which is Peter's Nail. I have been going to this salon for years now and let me tell you- they're VERY consistent with the quality of their work. I love the fact that they DO NOT rush your nails just to get more clients for profit reason. I always appreciate their friendliness every time I get my nails done. The owners of this salon are exceptional when it comes to great customer service and excellent quality of service. There were a couple of times when I broke one of my nails for bumping it into a hard surface. I called them immediately and they took me in right away without even asking me to pay for the repair knowing that it is NOT their fault. I also love the vibe of everyone in the salon. Every single staff will greet you with either a smile or simply by saying hi. I disagree to those who gave this salon nasty reviews. The owners are SUPER approachable and will fix your nails should you not satisfied of their work, just as long as you let them know right away. I have seen this happen before and the owner gladly fix the issue. They understand the importance of their client and they value each and every one of them. Their pricing is VERY reasonable as well especially if you're like me who loves arts on their nails. Kuddos to Sunny who always makes my nails look FABULOUS!!!!
I never get my nails done, but after a couple months of having my nails chip off in flakey layers I thought it was time I took action to get some length back. I decided to get gel. After doing some research on where to go, Peter's seemed like the best option. I decided to wait to write a review so I could have the whole experience under my belt. I made the appointment, got a pretty blue, and they did a great job. I walked out with hard nails ready to do anything! 6 days later my right pointer finger chipped... which got caught on other things and turned into a peel. These nails were supposed to last 3 weeks, and I made sure to grab a polish that stated it was "soak off". 1 day after the first chip, my middle and ring fingers started to chip. I get it, those are my most heavy use fingers. But then my middle finger on my left hand also chipped. Now I'm a full week out of this manicure with 4 chipping fingers. My friends assured me that that shouldn't have happened! I called Peter's nails and ask if they could be fixed; and they offered to do it for free! The appointment would be at 10am now 10 days after my original manicure. When I got there 10 minutes early I discovered that they don't open until 10am. I sat outside until someone opened up at 10:03. Then multiple people emerged from their cars and joined in line. To fix my gel, it was buffed off, then a new clear base was applied and a new layer of the same color was put on. We realized that the color had actually faded signficantly since my manicure but that's nothing anyone can prevent. I appreciate that it was fixed free of cost. 5 days after the fix, my right pointer chipped again. I'm a student always shoving her hands into her backpack so I know I'm not blameless in this situation. A few days pass and my original nails started to peel. It's finals so I gave in and played with them but I went home last night with the intention of soaking them off. It's been about 3 weeks since my first manicure. I buffed yhe shiny part off and did the bowl of warm water soak with acetone and then the cotton pads dipped in acetone with foil for 30 minutes. It wasn't enough! The original nails are off and did not leave much damage. The fixed nails on my left middle finger and pointer, middle, and ring finger were too stubborn. I went to bed with foil on! I couldn't fall sleep though so I took them off and the polish crumbled when I scratched it. But that base of glue or something that was used for the fix will not come off. I expected damage, but not this clear and uneven cement. I'm attaching pictures to this review. Notice how those pinkies are damage free from the Original nails and the remaining glue from the fix.
Everyone was really nice here, but unfortunately I didn't have the best experience here. My 2 friends and I made appointments for 1:30 together. While they were seated right away, I was kept waiting until 2:00. So much for getting our nails done together! I also was not very happy with the paint job on my nails. There were some bubbles on one nail and some uneven edges on others. I cut my nails too short accidentally before the appointment, which was my mistake, but they didn't even file the couple of nails that were uneven. Overall I was pretty bummed that I had to wait 30 minutes and was not satisfied with the job.
My bestfriend took me here for my first time tonight and this place is hands down my new favorite place to go too. The nail technicians were so friendly and so funny. Phong did my nails and he was great, super gentle and so easy to talk too. The picture of his work speaks for itself. Contrary to what others have said negatively about Peter's Nail- I have experience nothing but excellent service every time I get my nails done. Never did I experience any rudeness by any of the staffs. I have always been greeted by friendly faces. Sunny and Kim always interact with their clients and they always make you feel welcome. I highly recommend this local business. They're truly the BEST!!!

Everyone was really nice here, but unfortunately I didn't have the best experience here. My 2 friends and I made appointments for 1:30 together. I am giving this review 2 stars because I've had gel nails here twice and they were really good. HOWEVER, i got acrylics here done 1 week and 1 day ago and I have already broke 4 of my nails! 1 while pulling my pants up, 1 while open up a plastic wrapped sandwich, 1 while unbuckling my seat belt, and 1 while putting on my shoe. When I got them done I had a pedicure scheduled at 3:15 and nails at 4. I was done with my pedicure at 3:45 and sat until 4:20 until my nails were started. They were done by 5, which in my experience is pretty quick for acrylics. They were certainly not made thick enough. Each time I've broken one it hasn't hurt at all, which shows that they weren't done well. All of the events I've broken them were daily and not strenuous at all. I will not be coming back here. I am on vacation and now I look stupid af with these nails read more

I went to get a powder extension about 2 weeks ago. The staff was lovely and the person who did my nails perfectly matched the design from the picture I showed them. However, the layer of gel with the design must not have been cured correctly because the design peeled off within a week. The following week, three of my nails popped off completely (they weren't even grown out yet!) and I ended up removing the rest myself (they came off very easily). I'm very disappointed with the outcome of the manicure, especially considering the price. I could have glued fake nails onto my fingers and gotten the same results. I'm hoping this was just a fluke but I am upset at how my nails turned out. :( read more

This was my first time at this salon and my first time getting dip nails. The staff are all super friendly and I'm pretty sure the owner did my nails. He shaped them perfectly and worked pretty fast. I'd recommend booking appointments because it gets busy, and I went on a Wednesday. read more

I came in as a walk in around 6:00pm and they close at 7:30...they made time for me as I'm new to the area and they suggested I make an appointment beforehand. From start to finish every staff member was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The salon was clean and the music was very relaxing. Chung did my manicure and I am absolutely making an appointment for next time! This will be my new regular place! read more

Great place for a manicure! They have a nice selection of OPI, Essie, and China Glaze nail polish.The staff do a great job and are very nice. My manicurist was named Jong (I think). He's really friendly and took great care of my nails. I got a gel manicure and my nails look amazing. I will come to this salon every time I am in town! read more

I really wasn't very happy with my manicure ( a full set of gel tips) even right after I had them done. First off as you can see the length/shape didn't even match. The gel polish itself has all these air bubbles in it & you can see the brush strokes that are just also a mess. Honestly I wasn't thrilled with the color when the lady was putting it on, but my nails were taking SO LONG I told her I didn't like it but to just finish because it was going on two hours for a manicure. Im pretty sure this girl was not suppose to be doing my nails in the first place but when someone came over to take over she said "can I do it? I really want to." So I'm pretty sure she was brand new or just out of training. All that aside- THE NEXT DAY my ring finger nail had broken off. I didn't bump it or hit it or do anything to the nail. I was in a store and I looked down and the nail was gone. Today just THREE DAYS after the manicure another nail is gone. I had my nails done specially for my vacation. Now I am out of the state with my nails looking AWFUL. I'm just really disappointed in the whole experience. I will be going back when I get home to have them fix this but after that I will not be returning again. read more
