Prices have gone up & the quality down. This used to be one of my favorite nail spots. Post covid things have changed. Services rushed, always a dazzle dry upsell, nail tech didn't remove dirt under nail, hand & foot massage is virtually non existent they really just rub lotion in. There was a miscommunication with our appointment time and owner did not apologize. A quick warm acknowledgement would have gone a long way. On Thursday 8/21 I did an appointment for a no-chip manicure and regular pedicure. I got my pedi done by a young girl with glasses she took her time did a great job. But then when I was about to relax while she did my pedi this older lady comes to do my mani start removing the old nail polish in a rush and damage one of of my nails because she was rushing. I breathe in and didn't say anything. When my pedi was done . I move to the table for my manicure. She was doing everything so fast that she didn't even remove the cuticles so I didn't got my manicure it was only a no- chip. When I walk out I see that my nails were all messed up and had pumps from the polish. She did a bad job. I've been going here for years. Spending on average $170 minus tip a month. Service used to be great. They used to give a nice shoulder massage with the mani but not anymore and they used to really take their time. Now you get a 30 second massage on each foot or hand. It used to be a nice spa like experience. Now it seems like they don't care. Prices keep going up and the quality of service isn't worth it. I even overheard the owner asking for a tip after she did someone's mani the other day. Really? I went in today because my Dazzle Dry lasted 4 days. The owner asked what she could do and asked to have it redone for free.That was not an option for her. Someone who spends close to $200 a month x 12. They just lost my business. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for years and disappointed with my recent dazzle dry manicure on NYE. I had one nail chip within a few hours of my manicure and then 3 more within the next 24 hours from my service. I am very familiar with dazzle dry as it is my go to manicure and never have had my nails chip this quickly. I went to the salon to today to show them my nails and ask for the chipped nails to be fixed. Instead I was told by the owner that dazzle dry is not like a no chip and this can happen. I explained to her that I am well aware that dazzle dry is not the same as no chip but have never had my nails chip this quickly especially since I have done very little the last few days that could have caused damage to my nails. I expected more from this nail salon and disappointed at how poor the customer service is, I have never had problems going back to other nail salons within the a few days if I have had an issue with my service. read more

Haven't been here in a while and after today, I know why. $55 for a 20 minute pedicure is ridiculous. Zero attention paid to the scrubbing/buffing of my feet. I do a better job at home in the shower. The polish application was sloppy and I was left with red polish streaks around my toes. Very disappointing. read more

I would not recommend this salon for a dip manicure. Last week, I came here to get my nails done for my sister's wedding where I was the maid of honor, and I didn't have a good experience at all. First, I asked to do a French manicure with dip (which I know other salons can do using dip for the nude part and gel for the tip part). They said no. So I ended up going with all 1 color. At first when I left the salon, my nails looked great but then about an hour later I looked down and noticed small cracks in the dip on multiple nails. So, I went back the next day and the owner was there but said they were closed today (Tuesday). I showed her my nails and asked if she could fix them. She said I could come in the next day but I was flying to the wedding the next day, so she said she'd fix them herself. She starts working on them and after about 10 minutes, she tells me she's allergic to dip (the powder, activator, etc.) and complains that her eyes and nose keep watering. I felt really bad and wish she would have told me before starting to fix them. It was awkward and I didn't know what to do but we were too far into the service. So she finishes the nails and they're puffy (lots of layers of dip), but they look fine. 2 days later, the top layer of dip starts chipping. First one nail, then another. I had no time to fix them before the wedding, so that was very frustrating. Now, it hasn't even been a week since I got them done and 5 nails have already chipped and others have cracks in them. For reference, my dip manis usually last 3-4 weeks at least. Very disappointed and won't be returning to this salon as they definitely do not specialize in dip and I'm not sure why they even offer the service if the owner is allergic - honestly seems like a health hazard for her sake. read more

At $60 a person, not worth it. Three stars is pushing it. This was our first time using this place. We have lived in the neighborhood for years and only use Posh Nails by the Jimmy John's. I book a pedi for my girlfriend and a mani pedi for myself. I have never felt so rushed. Both of our pedicures took less than 20 minutes. They barely buffed our feet (like maybe 30 seconds), we had to ask for the water bubbler to be turned on, no nail clipping, no trimming, no cleaning down around the nail beds. I honestly couldn't believe it. My mani was under 10 minutes and not great. Certainly won't be back. read more

I sat on the idea of writing this review for a few days... I've always had an acceptable experience and became a weekly/bi-weekly regular for over a year. Unfortunately, I will no longer patronize this salon. Last week showed me that there is no customer appreciation. I have only had to return for a paint touch up twice; both times I have been treated like the problem. When I showed her the chip in my thumb nail paint, she told me it was a "chemical reaction" and acted as though my fingers were diseased. She unevenly filed the chips out and re-applied the top coat thinly without conversation beyond the insults and eyebrow raising. I'm now sitting here with more chips in my gel nails and doing everything I can to not peel them because the top coat was too thick at the edges and already pulling up. Rather than treating me like the problem, perhaps the salon manager can learn graciousness in the face of a poorly done nail job. read more

This was my regular nail salon when we lived in Andersonville. It is very clean, and most of the nail techs do a thorough and careful job. Good polish selection, not the widest range of colors, but enough to find something I wanted to try each time. I loved that they only work with natural nails, so the salon does not smell of acrylic and there are no drilling sounds. Also, no TVs, just relaxing music, so a very peaceful environment. read more

I went in today with a broken natural nail that had cracked under a gel X nail from another studio. The staff at Nail Palette was super attentive and walked me through why it happened and helped repair my nail! I was really concern and nervous because I had been in pain earlier, but they were able to fix it, you can't even tell which nail was damaged! So, this is was only my 2nd pedicure since the pandemic and this did not disappoint. I used to come here often pre-pandemic. Aidai was my technician and she was kind, helpful and super skilled! I even got an annoying tickle during my pedicure (not COVID!) and she was so thoughtful and got me a glass of water and bye-bye tickle/cough. She did not make me feel weird about it, given all the COVID precautions and being mask required and symptom free. They even offered me a little candy for my tickle. I got the dazzle dry pedicure which was new to me and much healthier than what I feel pedicures were before. $40 for a pedicure. I have had several mani/pedis at this salon. I've always been happy with the outcome. I had not ever experienced the rudeness referred to in other reviews. Today I did..,not focused on me. A woman brought her elderly Mom (92) in for a pedicure. As most know as we age your skin is more sensitive and you get cold easily. The woman did say repeatedly that the water was either too cold or then too hot. I understand the frustration the receptionist/manager/maybe owner felt but there was no reason for harshness. Sensing/hearing the harshness the customer said sorry three times in a row. The response should have been "no need to apologize we are here for you"..,or something similar. Instead she just shrugged, huffed and walked away. Do better, be kind. I did not speak to receptionist as I left as the woman was sitting right there. I did not want to embarrass her further. A place that charges $40 on a Tuesday for no chip should have a price list brochure or have their prices written somewhere.. I think it's slightly overpriced. Working ladies are fine l, but when I left my tips the owner had an attidute, making me feel like I should leave more than $3. Nail Palette is a consistently great nail salon: clean, well organized, and well staffed. My nails always look great after I have them done here. The salon offers many different color options for OPI regular, Essie regular, OPI no-chip, Dazzle Dry, and more. I tried the Dazzle Dry a few times and didn't like it, so I usually get regular polish. The manger (Sue) is really nice. They are taking the appropriate steps regarding Covid-19. read more

I went in for a dazzle dry mani and pedi. The nail technician was very rough during the pedi while cutting my cuticles, it was very painful. Other than that my experience was okay. Once I got home I took a good look at my nails and noticed bunch of air bubbles, which was disappointing. That same evening after I took a shower my nails were all chipped! Since I specifically got them done for an event I had to take the nail polish off and re do the manicure myself. I will not go back to this salon. read more

Nail Palette is hit or miss, and lately its been mainly misses. On more than one occasion I have shown up for my appointment to be told that they are full and cannot take me. Some of the pedicurists are very good amd some are seemingly very new to the job and learning. No one there seems to enjoy their job. In general, there is not a very warm or uplifting feeling in the space. It feels like an impersonal nail polish production line. This place gotten worst after the pandemic. I made an appointment for a regular pedicure and no chip manicure for a 10am appointment on a Monday. Walking in, they had a sign for mandatory mask, I of course didn't have one, but asked to get one to make them comfortable. The owner wasn't there but it was a lady who didn't give me her name. She did an amazing job at my pedicure but kept slapping my shins for my attention, while I was reading. Inside there was four workers and no one inside getting any services but I felt like my pedicure was getting rush; like if they had a line outside the door. When she does my no chip, she goes straight into working on my hands, but again she was rushing and being rude by slapping and twisting my fingers. I was relaxed and calm until she started rushing and making myself feel uncomfortable. Once I was done, the salon was still empty, but once I left and looked at my nails I realized she left some air bubbles in my nail polish, I wanted to go in and tell her but I didn't want to deal with her attitude since they are so busy and she was in a rush for no reason. Nice small cute place, just won't get my nails done here again. The staff some are nice and sweet! I got an essie no-chip mani on May 12. Today is June 8 and it still hasn't chipped. I'm impressed equally by the longevity of this manicure as by the demonstration, in the manner of my 6th grade science experiments on Lima beans, that nails grow only from the quick. I paid full price for this manicure as I did not have time to go on discount day- worth every penny! The lotion/skin treatment aspects weren't as great as other places I've tried, but I'll make a few more visits and nail palette could definitely be a 5-star spot. read more
