I'm giving this salon two stars because, despite my mixed feelings about the owner's customer service, Jennie does excellent no-chip manicures that last. Unfortunately, my experience today with another employee was completely unacceptable. She was unfriendly from the start, handled my hands very roughly, and ended up cutting my finger badly enough that it bled. What upset me most was that she didn't apologize or show any concern. When I politely asked, "Could you please be a little gentler?" she told me to leave and refused to finish my manicure. This isn't a high-end salon--it's a small, somewhat dirty, no-frills neighborhood nail shop. I've been here twice before, mainly because they're open late, and until today I'd only been helped by Jennie. I was shocked by how disrespectfully I was treated and left extremely disappointed. No customer should be spoken to or treated that way, especially after being injured during a service. To top it off, I still paid for half of the service even though it was never completed. I didn't want to argue, but I certainly didn't feel they had earned my business. I won't be returning. read more

I was amazed at how quickly my dip manicure took, and it came out beautifully! I keep my nails really short and they were barely past my fingertips which does not make for an easy dip session but she was willing to get the job done! I have gone to KC multiple times and the past 4 times I have gone I have had horrible service. This past time was for sure the worse. I got acrylics and they look horrible. The woman who did my nails literally cut me she was filing my nails so hard. None of them are strait. My friend went with me and we both got the same thing but the woman tried to charge her $5 more than me. She only gave back the money after I had to confront her about the price difference. The sides have no polish and they are crooked. I have been a frequent customer for many years but I will not longer be going to this establishment. read more

I had these problem nails on for about three weeks (different salon). They were acrylic with dip powder (supposedly strong) but they kept breaking so I finally decided to remove them. I went to KC nails and it was a very long process to remove them but the woman was very patient, nice, and made sure not to hurt my nails during removal. It took more time and meticulous work but she did it anyway!! Even near the closing time!! Thank you I'll come back! read more

TERRIFYING. And just to clarify at the beginning....we didn't stay long enough to get actual pedicures here. I made an appointment to get pedis with two of my besties last Friday after work. Let me just start by saying, we made appts for THREE pedicures. The woman just said, ok fine, 3 at 6. Done. We approach the store and are already a little skeazed out. It just looks DIRTY. And I've gotten my nails done in some scary salons but come on. When we walk in the door (as a group of three), we see two nail baths. YUP. Only two. I said something (thinking there might be more in back or another room? you never know). But no. There were only two. And she didn't even say anything about not having enough! So, between that and the overall filth in the salon, we turned right around and walked out the door. I don't care of their pedicures are only $20...I will never be back. read more

Definitely not your nice, clean cut nail salon. If you are me, you will be slightly horrified at your first walk in especially after you see the great reviews. However, I've learned to take the reviews themselves very literally. They warned me about just this sorry of thing. Though the salon itself has less than perfect aesthetic appeal, the 10$ manicure is superb especially for the price, it's a bargain. The women there are friendly and accommodating. read more

Pedicure took about 15 mins total. Foot massage is about 10 secs a leg. Cuticles are still there but the nails in general are cleaned. You get what you pay for. From far away the polish looks great. But up close its not evenly polished on the whole nail and not cleaned. There were polish on my cuticles and skin. I probably would come back if I need a last minute pedicure. read more

Rude! Rushed! You make an appointment, they won't see you until 15-30 mins after your appointment and they take people off the street 1st! What's the point in making appointments if they don't keep them. And all that waiting and the nails are missed shaped, different lengths, different thickness and they claim its perfect. Far from it! This is my favorite nail spot to go for years! I have been coming to Jenny even when I lived in California & would come to visit in the Summer. Her no-chip is amazing and lasts well over two weeks! She's super busy but still makes times for walk-ins and has many long term customers! They recently remodeled the place and it looks amazing! I love the vibe and Jenny's energy! Recommend to everyone & pricing is reasonable! This place is so horrible. Customer service? Forget about it. I asked for a full set nails and I have polish all over my hands. I asked for them to be cleaned and she told me "just wash at home" didn't even try to take the polish off my skin. My nails are half way painted, missing in spots , very thick. Tried to ask to fix but she told me to just leave it that way. I paid for a design, she couldn't even do that so she gave me my money back but didn't even take out the design she attempted to do. Ok for everyone complaining about the spot, all the damn stores in this area (lived near her 20+ yrs) are not that big or good looking, middle of the city small spot and I love it! Me and my Mother have been going to see Jenny for over 10+ years... She is seriously so light hearted and positive! I know giving her a call or stopping in won't be a hassle!! and that makes me wanna go back to her! I've never reviewed an establishment, partly because what good does it ever do? However, in this case I need to vent... I went to this place on a recommendation. Needles to say, I was terribly, terribly disappointed. I walked in to three ladies working and it took them a few minutes to acknowledge me, fine, whatever, I know how these places work. One lady says, what do you need? I say is Gina here? (I was told to ask for Gina, but I guess I was told the wrong name because they said, oh you mean Jeanne) the lady tells me if I can wait, ok fine, I'm in no rush. So I patiently wait for like 20 mins. While I'm waiting a girl and her mom walk in. They ask her what she needs, to which she responds two pedicures and a full set. She's in a hurry and doesnt want to wait long. They tell her its going to be 10 mins, please wait....so there we are waiting.. Finally, it's my turn and IMMEDIATELY!!! It seems like they are trying to rush me out. The lady starts rushing through the manicure, cutting my nails, filing and cutting the cuticles all at the same time, that I though damn!! plus, she's fucking hurting me! she's doing it so fast that I almost feel like she's going to forget to do the other hand. While she's doing my nails, the other girl waiting is getting impatient and tells my technician that she'll come back, to which she replies, no, I'm almost done, in like 2 minutes...I'm like what!? You barely have one hand done??? So finally she finishes, the fastest, most mediocre manicure I've had in my life. When she finishes, she practically pushes me out of her chair so she can start on the impatient girl. lol I'm just trying to pay her and she's kicking me out? While all this is happening, I accidentally smear the clear polish and tell her to which she rolls her eyes! yes! rolls her eyes! she fixes it, thank you... I give her a 20 dollar bill and she gives me a 10 dollar bill, really? so either she didn't want a tip or she wanted me to tip her 10 dollars? Again, she gives me a look when I ask for change. Despite, all the attitude and rush of things, I gave her a 5 dollar tip on a 10 dollar manicure and get this, she DOESN'T even say thank you or anything, just puts the tip in her drawer like it was expected :-/ Yes, I understand that I'm a guy and my 10 dollar manicure is nothing compare to a pedicure and manicure or a full set BUT I do tip MORE for this fact. In the end, the manicure was eh!, my nails are too long and I'll probably need another manicure at the end of the week. The polish she used was either really cheap or old because it looks like there's no polish at all. The polish itself left a very grainy feeling on my nails and my cuticles still hurt from the punishment she gave me. However, what really bothered me was the fact that despite the fact that I was a paying customer and a well tipping customer, I was still literally pushed out the door to accommodate a person that was in a rush but was spending more money. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. They lost a loyal, good tipping customer. read more

This place is great! Yes, it is small and cramped, and yes, it could do with a good scrub, but the price and the job that is done totally makes up for the ambiance. I got a pedicure and the lady who did it was very nice. She did an amazing job too! It's been two weeks and my toes still look great.
