I don't think it's normal to have your toes throb during the night after you get a " relaxing" pedicure. The woman doing my pedi clipped my nails, of course, but while clipping she snagged them forcefully pulling to when I yelped out loud! She said it "needed to be done" however I have never experienced that during a pedicure, ever. Ouch! I had to take Tylenol after to stop the pain in both my big toes. Still throbbing this morning. Brian cut me about 4-5 times, 2 of the cuts were really painful and wouldn't stop bleeding.. not only did he just keep working, he acted like nothing happened, no apology, he didn't put anything on the cuts, and had the nerve to put alcohol on my fingers.. His station was FILTHY, he didn't even clean his table after the previous customer got up.. my nails were just ok, not what I wanted at all, and it's like he rushed me out the chair. Ok so I have only been to this nail shop twice as I was reffered by my sister and mother. My mother sees Amy and makes appointments with her constantly for over a year now and she absolutely loves her nails as do I. My sister has gone a few times and her nails come out beautiful so naturally when I finally got the chance for the first time all year to get my nails done I went here. I called ahead to let them know I only had a gift card and it only had $50 on it and asked if Amy was available and I was told yes and to come in asap so I did. Not only was Amy not available when I got there but I was eagerly sorta forced to get someone else being that it was my first time. I had a lot of questions because there's no menu with pricing and they charge as they go but I ended up getting the basic acrylic and clear top coat for $50. The lady I actually suprised me because they were gorgeous! Their machine didnt take the gift card and I had no other way to pay so I had to ask for help from my mom. I was scared and frustrated because the owner was hostile about her money while Im crying and feeling frustrated. I never raised my voice nor said anything out of line. I finally was able to pay them and left so ashamed and embarassed and none of them cared. Today was the second time I went to this shop and it was for a fill that started at $30. I walk in, sign in, find a color and have a seat. I notice nobody has a individual name tag or station, theres no individual cards to have any of the nail techs personal information to make appointments at all. I didnt choose a color the last time so doing so this time, my tech starts painting my nails with the color I chose only to see that it wasnt the right color. Then proceeds to tell me the colors on the wall oxidize in the sun and arent the same as what they truly are. So I ask for a darker green cause the one we re using was too bright. She gets upset with me and starts rushing through and half assing my nails cause she was tired of me. The owner tries to step in but they all were hostile and overbearing. She proceeds to finish but the work looked sooo horrible. The acrylic was lumpy and the color sat thick at the tips and she didnt clean them up so I went to the front desk to tell them Ididnt like the work she did. The lady proceeds to say "well the owner said we can refund you but they would have to take off the nails and you wont be able to be seen here again". I was really hurt because this is my second time and everyting that was happening wasnt my fault yet because I complained and they didnt care, she was ready to kick me out. Mind you I wasnt loud, rude, a mess, I wasnt being problematic, I just wanted what I paid for and that set wasnt it. I had to come back the same day to get a color change and the lady that did it so much better and took her time and yet I had to pay an extra $5 for a simple tip, which I did the first time, so I just took what I could get and left. Obviously your TECHS still need education.  Quality over quantity all day; however, respect your customers time as well.  Typical salons do not take 2 to 3 hours to perform a simple fill.  Full set with nail SOAK off maybe 2 to 2.5 hours.  Fill with designs maybe 1 to 1.5 hours Typical salons book accordingly and respect the customer enough to honor their appointment time.  Typical salons will accept walk ins AND tell them the wait time this giving them the option to stay or go. This is the 2nd time I came here and after today,I will not be back. the first time the "manager" got into a verbal argument with a customer over the woman's daughter. The daughter maybe about 5 yrs old wanted her nails painted and they wanted the child to sit out of sight from the mother; and the mother declined with good reason. The child/mom doesn't know these people & instead of having the child's nails painted in the same area as mom the manager got very loud and then began to make remarks in their native tongue in which the other nail techs began laughing. Fast forward, I picked my color after telling him I wanted a specific design he began to paint like he knew what I wanted without even seeing the picture. I now have an additional row of rhinestones because he rushed putting the powder on my nails & didn't cover the bottom. Also throughout the service he kept jerking my arm to be pulled closer to him. This was my second time coming in. The only reason I came back was because of Kathy, who did my nails the first time around...let's just say Cindy is the reason I won't be returning. I came in for a full set , marble, rose quartz emphasis on the PINK. As soon as I sat at the booth I got the vibe the nail tech was only there to do her job. Which was really disappointing because I was expecting the level of customer service I received the first time with Kathy. I said "good morning" and only then did she greet me. Through the entire 1hr and 30 min I was there she never even asked for my name. I showed Cindy a reference photo and asked if she could do it. She looked at the photo once and started cutting my nails to remove them. She didn't even try to soak them or reduce them down with the drill ...immediately started going at it with a nail clipper. As soon as she pressed down on my pinky I new she had cut me. The skin below my nail had separated. She still had the audacity to say my skin had "grown over the nail" and that's why it was bleeding. No, she cut me. I asked her to please soak or the reduce the rest and she said to let her try one more thing. Then she started jamming an acrylic tip under my nails. I told her multiple times that it was painful and that it hurt. I had never had a nail removal more painful than this one. Then Cindy went over my real nail with a drill. My nails were so thin at the end of it that the acrylic BURNED as the powder dried...and that's just how the experience started. When it was time to set the powder Cindy didn't even confirm the color with me or allowed me to chose between varying shades like Kathy had.... I asked for a pink powder and what she applied was a clear powder. After she finished shaping my nails she didn't even ask me if I liked the shape or if it was okay. I asked for a skinnier coffin shape. What I got is a lot more rectangular than I expected. I asked for a matte finish , she applied a clear coat. I had to asked her to take of the clear coat and apply the matte. The worst part Is that after everything she charged me $53. A regular full set WITH GEL is $34 ! Given that I paid $5 for the most painful nail removal of my life , I paid $14 for clear powder with some white squiggles on it. Throughout the entire session Cindy never told me how much the nails would cost. SO disappointed. I really wanted to like this place because of Kathy and all of the Instagram hype but I will not be coming back. Cindy was really rough with my hands but more than the nails I didn't like how being serviced by her made me feel. I disliked the experience even more than the product. I live near this establishment and I figure I would give this place a try. I arrived here and was told it will be 10 mins and to have a seat. 35 mins later I asked what's going on. I was told to but my name of the list (which I did when I first arrived) they then began speaking in their native language (which is fine) a young man then asked me did I leave! I'm like, I've been sitting here in the same spot since I got here. Then a young lady tells me that it 4 people ahead of me. I'm like how?! So I have been a fan of the owners work for a bit. I found her work on Instagram. I got excited when I found out she opened her own store. Decided to go in today just for a fill, trim and polish change. Brian helped me out. Had his headphones in the whole time. Only spoke to me in reference to my nails and strictly that. No "how are you or what's your name." Fine. I get it. You don't feel like conversing. Customer service minus one star. But then while fitting my nails into the light machine for gel nails, I accidentally touched the side of my finger but I didn't even realize it. So when I take out my hand for another layer of polish he realized what I had done he proceeded to scold me for not watching out and had a horrible attitude explaining to me how to correctly do it. Like accidents don't happen. And the most he said to me the whole session. Minus another star. THEN He didn't even clean off any polish that had gotten elsewhere. So I had this streak of polish that I had to peel off for 5 minutes in the car. There's the third star. He got a full tip from me but never going to this business again. Called prior to make appointment and I arrived 30 minutes early, was greeted by the women in the yellow dress in the picture and told her I had a 4pm appointment. I then showed her a picture of these nail I wanted, went over to the women the other women in the gray and she told me around $80 because they didn't know with the length how much the exact amount would be (which is BS because based on this picture you could have given me an actual price). I was instant on how could you not know a price based on the picture provided but the women in the gray continued with her attitude and said I would have to wait until after the nails were done for total. Because someone else was paying for me I needed to know prices. Then I went outside to tell my partner how much they would be, went back in inside and was asked by the women in the yellow if I wanted a pedi and I said yes. Then the women in the gray said it would be an hour an a half wait then I told her 'well I have an appointment at 4pm' and she said 'ohh I didn't know that' in a rude a** tone. The lady in the yellow was talking me over to a chair to sit then the women in the gray said, as I was walking by "your f****** rude" and I replied 'so are you'. She proceeded to tell me then that she can refuse my service while she was just a nail tech not the actual manager. I left the store and the manager (lady yellow) followed me out and apologized for her behavior and said she would help me but I told her that is unacceptable to have a worker treat heavily paying customers like that. read more

I went in on 6/11 around 9 something and was there for 2 hours approximately. I was waiting to get a full set and a pedicure. I started off with the pedicure which was done perfectly by a lady named Kim. I then waited after for a full set acrylic. The first tech that I was told to go to was EXTREMELY rude, which I would not expect because I am the one paying for my nails, not her. She simply didn't want to cut the nails a little bit shorter like I had asked, she then proceeded to say "don't complain about it later". I was really shocked by that because if a customer is asking you to do a service that they want and know that they would like there shouldn't be any discussion or distasteful comments made. I had to talk to receptionist and let her know that I would gladly wait for someone else because the nail tech clearly had an attitude and was rude for no reason. The owner then said something sly at the end instead of apologizing for her rude employee. After all that I was fortunately seated with a lady named Jasmine and she even cut it a LITTLE bit (like I originally asked the other tech) and did the full set perfectly. It's baffling because Jasmine did what I asked and my nails came out great. Shout out to Kim and Jasmine for doing a good job and being PROFESSIONAL. As I was sitting there the owner was glad to give a woman $10 off simply because she didn't like how the nail tech did them or because they didn't look cute enough but the OWNER couldn't even apologize to me for her rude employees (remind you she's sitting right there as I'm voicing my frustration to the receptionist). So based on other reviews, she most likely did that on purpose. This has been the second time I have been to this establishment (trying to give it the benefit of the doubt because the first visit wasn't great either but it is covid times) and it's the second time where I've gotten someone unprofessional. It's really not that hard to be polite. It's a shame because there are some talented ladies and a gentleman that work there but the unprofessionalism that is going on by some of the employees and the owner is unacceptable. They clearly don't care about losing customers. Also if you're going to have a receptionist in the front make sure they have customer service skills. I watched her rudely answer questions from customers that did not need for her having an attitude at all. Just because she might get her nails done for free or at a discounted price by the owner doesn't mean she can talk down to people like she also owns the place. Brian is and always will be the best nail tech. I'll start by saying that because I have been with him since his previous salon and I moved to this one specifically for him. Now, as for the salon itself? If you're looking for a place with even a speck of customer service, this ain't it. I've brought many people to this salon because I love my nail tech and they can usually accommodate without an appointment. Problem is? They will accommodate people before YOUR booked appointment. I can't tell you how many times myself or my friends have had our appointments tossed around. The salon will call 10 minutes before your APPOINTMENT and ask if you can come in AN HOUR. They'll call 8 times in a row if they can't get ahold of you. One time, they had called to ask if I could come in earlier. Then they call me telling me nevermind. If you can't adjust for how they ask, they will disregard you and either put you with another tech (unknown to you) or tell you to come back another day. Additionally, there's been times when you show up at the adjusted time, and you're STILL waiting 15-25 minutes to get seen. PLUS after all is said and done, they won't even compensate you for wasting your time and messing up on their end. They've told me "this just happens" and that if I didn't like their salon I could try somewhere else. It's truly sad. Again, especially because my nail tech is an absolute BOSS. (I'd have left after the first time there had I not loved him so much) Now don't get me wrong. I can understand accidents happen or there will be delays at times. But for this to be happening EVERY time I want to come in. Especially as someone who's been coming to the shop since it opened and been a long time client of my tech.... It's unacceptable. Nail-it is currently doing a promotion on Instagram where if you leave a "good" Yelp review, they'll give you a $5 off coupon if you spend a certain amount of money at their salon. Upon questioning if this was because they weren't getting as much business due to poor customer service, they blocked me. Unfortunately, I can be blocked but the truth can't. If you have absolutely no time schedule and don't care about that, definitely go to this salon (and ask for BRIAN!) But otherwise, I would keep it pushin to the next one.
