I absolutely love coming here to get my nails done, and I especially recommend Tomy! He always does such an amazing job on my nails. My sister and I used to go to a nail salon in Lakeside, and unfortunately, we were constantly getting nicked during our full sets. It got to the point where I would be really tense and nervous anytime I got my nails done. After finding Tomy, I finally realized what getting a good set of acrylics is actually supposed to be like -- no trauma, no getting nicked, and a genuinely relaxing experience! Over the years, I've tried different nail designs, but these days I'm definitely a simple-girly and usually just get an ombré. Tomy always makes them look beautiful and exactly how I want them. If you're looking to get a full set or manicure, ask for Tomy! You won't regret it. As for pedicures, I've had almost everyone here and they have all been very nice and done a good job. Well never going again here! Unfortunately my aunt was so excited to show me this place and I was excited too! But after being in the chair for 2 hours and etc mind you my aunt was done with her pedi and nail set! My nails were bad!!! The French tip she was doing was really uneven can't even understand how she didn't notice. She tried this new thing on me instead of using powder ONCE AGAIN I WAS EXCITED TO TRY THIS NEW PRODUCT and left me a bubble that she couldn't fix. My nail was crooked/uneven! ridiculous! My daughter visited this salon a few days ago to get her nails done. She came home with this. I called and complained, so they told me to send a picture. They wouldn't even offer to fix them, after paying $90 for these: mind you, she doesn't go out to get her nails done very often, so she was looking forward to this. She told me communication with her nail tech was difficult, as her nail tech seemed reluctant to fix things that she had noticed during the procedure. My first experience here was positive. I asked for a hard gel manicure and the woman who did it really took her time and I was happy with the results. It was $60 and worth it. The worst acrylics I've ever recieved--anywhere. I specifically warned the manicurist about my cuticle sensitivity and to please be gentle. Not only did she keep going over sensitive spots, but I bled on a few different fingers. I had to move out from her grip because I yelled ouch and she said I bled because I moved. I responded by telling her that it hurt. Very condescending and rude. The acrylics are way too thick and not proportionate. I will attach a photo to warn anyone from this location. I know people say to speak-up when you're there to have them fix any issues on site but I feel like I was vocal enough when I kindly asked her to be gentle around the cuticles and to have non-thick acrylic application which clearly she was keen on doing what she wanted anyway. Honestly this place needs a facelift on the outside. I was a little Leary about trying this place but to my surprise It was cute inside . Has many updates but umm their chairs are peeling and the foot rest was very loose , now that's a problem when they have to rest the gel machine on it. The padding on the massage chair is practically gone and the control to massage my back is broken so the attendant had to poke it with a cuticle pusher . The staff is nice and the wait isn't very long . Was disappointed that the staff does not have any extra face mask for customers if they need one Or request one . I did appreciate there sign providing the wifi Password. I don't foresee myself coming here again . My gel pedicure was expensive and subpar . I'm super disappointed in this business, I've been coming here for years. But the last couple times I've been here they have tried to scam me out of my money. I got acrylic gel nails here less than two weeks ago for $50. I came to get a fill of the same nail design (which is ALWAYS less money than a full set), and they tried to tell me it was going to be $60 this time!! I also always call before coming in to doublecheck the price, and it always ends up being $25-$30 more than they quote you over the phone. I understand design designs/extra length will cost more. But I was asking for a FILL of the exact same design (a simple french tip), then charging MORE is absolutely scamming. I have never paid the same price for the same service at this establishment, I'm pretty sure they just give a different price to everyone who walks in the door. When I try to explain to them that I had only paid $50 for my full set, they looked at me like I was a liar and told me that wasn't true. everyone was very rude and dismissive when I was questioning the price. Unfortunate because I've been coming here for so long, but I will be finding another place. I've always tried to be a good customer, i never ask for a design that's too difficult, And I always leave at least a 20% cash tip. don't give your heart earned money to people who want to scam you out of it. ALSOOO The woman at the front desk told me that they charge extra to cut your nails shorter, but they also charge extra to do your nails longer?!?!?!? First off I want to say I've been a loyal customer since Kristy (owner) opened this salon even when she worked at Diva Nails before she opened Nail it .She is lovely and accommodating to my needs. Whenever I get any service done I always tip $15-$20 because I am very appreciative of the hard/beautiful work miss Holly gives me for my (Pedis). Unfortunately the front desk staff needs work. I don't know her name but she's Hispanic thin lady and was there on 02/24/25 around 4 pm . Unfortunately she has not accommodated to my needs. I told her I wanted a soak off twice and she did not communicate that to the nail tech or set me up for a soak off like they usually do when the nail tech is busy with another customer. When I tried to speak to her during my wait she answered her cell phone and was on the phone for about 10-15 min and I communicated to her about letting the nail tech know about the soak off (usually front desk sets me up or a random not busy nail tech during the time being) and she said my nail tech will be right with me which is an unusual response I've ever gotten here. During my session the nail tech cut off my set and it was very very painful even made my nail bleed but she still kept picking at the same area which caused me to have more bleeding.This is why I highly suggested the soak off. I got upset and asked for my ticket and gave it to the front explained to her what happened all she said was " hmmm " & took my money. She needs proper training & improve her customer service skills asap. I wasn't looking for an apology but a little understanding and " sorry for the inconvenience " would help me have second thoughts on coming back to this salon. She was snobby and rude about it and took my money. Speaking from a place with 10+ yrs of customer service experience, people like her will help you loose customers because she is not a good host whatsoever and you can tell she does not take her position seriously. This use to be my favorite nail shop . They use to take there time and do a great job but lately every single one from nails to pedicure have giving me a horrible job . I am very patient and dont like to make them feel bad when there not doing a good job but today I got my nails and pedicure and the lady doing my pedicure didn't clean my toes right, I ask for acrylic on my big toe and she let the acrylic smear on to my skin that when she tried to file it she cut my skin , I ask her if she can fix it and she seamed bothered. Someone else came to do it she did a better job but still my pedicure before was visible. My toes dont feel clean. Last time the guy doing my nails was roughly taking off my nails and I told him it was hurting he didnt care , he ripped my nail off form the corner and it started to bleed. Not even like that he was more gentle. On top of that everytime now that I ask for a design it dosnt look like what i ask. For what they charge i should get out happy. I've been coming to nail it for years now. Average service but today they definitely lost a customer. I called Saturday and got a Sunday 10am appt with Amy. Got a call at 9:29am saying we're moving your appt to 10:45am. I said that's fine. Didn't get into the chair until 11:20am. I showed Amy the nail tech a pic of black nails with chrome. (attached below) She proceeds to apply the black powder and do my nails. When the chrome part started she applied it lightly on my pinky nail. It looked fine. I told her to proceed. Then out of no where she tells me she put 2 layers of chrome. Her brush also had pink residue. My nails came out looking metallic gray and teal. I looked at her confused. She said we don't have that kind of chrome you want. ?????????? Then why not just tell me that from the beginning. She suggested if I still wanted black to take the chrome off. I said okay. She hands me the receipt for $65. I go to the front and ask why it's $65, Amy comes rushing to the front speaking Vietnamese all the sudden! (She was speaking English my whole appt to me) They say they have to charge me for chrome even though Amy didn't have the color and proceeded to apply it after I showed her the picture a million times. They are not good at reenacting photos. They want you to hurry and sit and they say yes then deliver something totally different but expect you to be satisfied. I usually never speak up but today was my last straw. Good riddance Nail It. You guys give the nail industry a lazy name. read more

This is the most ridiculous nail shop I have ever been to in my life!! First off let me start by when I got there I asked for a fill. Brain the nail tech started to cut off all my nails. Im like wait that hurts. I work out so I must of bumped my nail on something so it was sore. No come to find out it was broken underneath and I'm thinking Ok maybe he'll soak it off or drill it off... no he ripped my nail off. I almost cried from how much it hurt. When I look down my nail wasn't bleeding but seconds later I look it's bleeding. Now I ask him " do you even think it'll be safe for me to get my nails done still after all that" and he kind of just shrugged it off and got up and left. I'm thinking ok maybe he's getting some sanitizer or something to help me... so I'm sitting there with no ideal where he went. Mind you I had drove down from San Marcos so I'm just patiently waiting I because I didn't want to waste anymore time. The assistant comes up to me after about five minutes and is like "where did he go he must of took his lunch break, let me go find him". She comes back like "he'll be back in a little"'. At this point I'm like real irritated cause I could of ate lunch too. I could of down anything but just sitting here? He comes back with this real funky attitude after like 20-25 minutes. He ask me what design I want and I show him a couple different ones and ask him the price difference (this shop is know to throw in extra charges at the end) so I like to ask up front. He tells me 110 for one and 130 for the other and I'm like exactly these nails? And he's like not the same length so I ask how much for the actual nail and then he says some ridiculous price like 190? I'm like ok let me get the $110 ones and let's call it a day. We pick out colors and we can't find the right one because all the powders are dry and come out a completely different color when it's wet duh!!! When we leave out the room he changes the price on me, the price is $120 now I'm like "how the price go up in 2 minutes?" And why you telling me this now like what changed? He's tells ne he's charging for the nail removal I didn't want. I'm like this is a joke. So he's like ok $115... whatever... He proceeds to start my nails but he don't even sanitize my finger or tell me to wash my hand he just sticks a nail tip on my bloody finger. Now we are talking while he does my nails and he starts saying rude remarks like I have welfare and food stamps why am I complaining about the price of my nails. First of all I don't have food stamps or welfare so wtf are you talking about? He's like you have kids. Not everyone who has kids has welfare. Now I'm not noticing that my nail on my other hand has a broken nail tip which he puts the acrylic one right on the tip of my nail where it's broken. So every time he puts the acrylic on my nail, my nail is moving back and forth. It's hurting bad. I show him what's going on and he gets mad at me. How are you mad at me and you basically torturing me. This man starts to drill my nails off super hard and I'm like what are you doing, he's like I'm not doing your nails. I am beyond outraged! Like you wasted my whole day and gas and then took off my nails which I could of wore until I got the replaced. We exchange word and I get up to leave but my air pods drop and this man tried to kick me. I can not believe the horrible customer service, the high prices for the poor work, the rudeness, the racists bs. None of it. I would never recommend this place even if they were giving away free full sets. No man should ever treat a woman like that nor should any business treat or speak to a customer like that. I went to get a full set today. The nail tech Kathy was doing my nails and seemed annoyed from jump. She was filing the gel off of my nails and it was getting hot. I asked her to not apply so much pressure because my nails were sensitive. She told me she was trying to get the paint off. Then she puts my nails on and one is clearly crooked. I asked her to fix it which she did. Once she put them all on, a couple of nails from the case fell on the floor. She picked them up and put them back in the case. I was thinking why wouldn't she throw it away, it fell in the floor. Then some more fell and I can tell she was clearly irritated. I noticed another one was crooked and when I asked her to fix it, the lady at the front said she didn't want to do my nails anymore because I was being picky. How am I being picky when my nail is clearly crooked? They were short staffed and no one else was available so I had to tell them to take them off. No one assisted me in taking off the residue from the nails. They just told me to sit there and soak them. She also had the nerve to charge me $8 for polish take off and cuticle trim. I went about a week ago and got a full set after 2 days my skin around my nails started to itch.. i began getting bumps and my skin was very tight around the area... not even 4 days later one of the nails broke.which made me feel it was pretty cheap material.
