I'm a ClassPass client nearing my monthly renewal, and this experience made my decision for me. Due to a death in my immediate family, I had to leave the state unexpectedly. Rather than lose 40 credits (~$80), I booked a facial for my wife. Yes, ClassPass credits are typically non-transferable--but this was an obvious situation where a little basic human judgment should have applied. My wife showed up, explained everything, and was turned away--despite the appointment being on their books. They refused the service and still kept the credits. No service rendered, no flexibility offered, no attempt to do the right thing. That tells me everything I need to know. This is a business that values squeezing $80 out of a customer over showing even minimal decency. Short-sighted, tone-deaf, and not the kind of people I'll ever do business with again. Enjoy the $80. Karma has a way of keeping score. Follow-Up: I received a response from the owner attempting to justify what happened, but it completely missed the facts. This wasn't a case of someone trying to misuse credentials in a typical sense--it was a one-on-one appointment that was already booked, paid for with credits, and ultimately went unused. Comparing this to standard "no sharing accounts" policies is a weak and inaccurate analogy. This situation called for basic judgment and a small amount of flexibility--neither of which was shown. My massage therapist asked where I felt I needed attention so I explained my left shoulder was bothering me. She did a good job except she really didn't do much for my shoulder. I booked a facial through ClassPass, but it was not made clear during the booking process that ClassPass appointments are only available to first-time clients. I had visited this spa before, so this created an unnecessary and frustrating issue when I arrived. Unfortunately, I also don't feel the experience justifies the spa's full-price rates. There are other spas in the area offering more thorough, higher-quality services at a similar price point. In my opinion, a discounted promotion would be necessary for the service to feel like a reasonable value. AVOID THIS PLACE! I was gifted a $50 spa finder gift card sold at Costco. Because Rivive accepted it I booked an hour deep tissue massage for $125.00. There is only street parking and all the spaces were full. This is not a stand alone salon. It is in a large building that rents out office space. I had to park a block away in a residental area. There is no reception area. I had to wait until someone came out of a room. I filled out a form and circled the problem areas in my mid back. The massage therapist told me for that pain she needed to massage my diaphragm? I did not undertand why and I wished I said so but I went along. She rubbed the area and began working pressure points on my hands and arms. After 20 minutes of this I said, " I would prefer if you concentrated on my back and forego my legs." She became extremely defensive, stating she stated her expectations at the start. I said what expectations? She then said do you want to end this massage? I said "I simply want you to concentrate on my back. " She said she HAD to work on my legs as well. She spent 15 minutes massaging my back and she abruptly ended the session after 50 minutes. She applied very little pressure the entire time. Easy money for her with very little effort. She had a very negitive attitude and was extremely rude. The entire experience was so upsetting for me. I could have received a 90 minute deep tissue massage for $125 at a more reputable massage location with staff that listen to what the customer wants. read more

The therapist had zero technique, randomly switched methods (if you can call them that), and kept dragging a loud tray around the table like it was part of the service. I'm so sad to have to write this review, but this was beyond disappointing. I showed up to the front of the building and could not enter (building was locked). I called the front desk number given to me (3x) then texted, then DM'd their instagram - no response. I was stressed about missing my appointment, but luckily I was able to find a back entrance that was unlocked. The waiting room was cute and I was relieved I made it to my appointment. However, I then proceeded to wait 45 minutes (my appointment was at 4:45, I waited until almost 5:30), until a staff member came out of a treatment room, told me the masseuse who was assigned my appointment was not coming for my massage, and I could head home. I booked this appointment because it was the last day of my Classpass credit cycle and I needed to burn some credits, which are not rolling over and I will now lose. Go upstairs (2 short flights) & they're located straight in front of you. Enter & sign in sheet to the left if none of the therapist aren't with customers. There's a nice aestically pleasing vibe in the waiting area. Nice soft meditative music. Best to call ahead or schedule online. We called a couple days to get someone to schedule. And there's no receptionist that sits & takes calls so keep calling. Service was professional & my daughters were pleased no complaints for their first time. They look forward to going back. Next time you see someone complain about a certain esthetician, literally do yourself a favor and steer clear. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but ended with the same outcome. Not going to get into detail but unless you been a customer here and have other people you see, then maybe find somewhere else. I got a leg wax & Brazilian. Leg wax was fine. Brazilian was a Brazilian. But definitely not the experience I'm used to having. Rough is an understatement. Owner says it happens "more often than not" well this literally never happened to me in all my years of getting waxed and is a result of getting over waxed. After moving back from Florida I've been on a hunt for my monthly facials. I found Revive from Groupon and the scheduling process was fairly easy. Both times I used Groupon it was a breeze, Nacre, did my facial and she was amazing. She's always booked so my next coupon appointments were done by MaryAnn, the owner. They both are very friendly and sweet, always avoided my eyelash areas as I asked. If you get facials regularly like I do, I recommend getting their $200 promotion for 4 facials. It would save you some $. The location parking is small but I never had problems finding a parking for their building. Their spa office is cute and relaxing. I do wish the facials are actually an hour long though instead of an hour from my appt time because it does take them time to set after my appointment time. read more

Where do I begin. Bought a Groupon. Has my wax at 12pm today. Parking is awful. Mercy. Had to park about 1+ blocks away. My waxer was Amy. I feel like somehow I inconvenienced her. I. Am. Over. Waxed. My skin is bleeding. I have petechia. I am hurt. This is not my 1st wax. It is not my 20th wax. I have been getting brazilians since about 21 years of age. And get them roughly every 5-7 weeks, with the exception of today. Today was the first one of the season. That should not detract from the fact that the wax that I recieved today was awful. I had to hold my own skin taut, never had this happen. I have large areas where Amy missed. I would honestly rather she miss them than continue to over wax me. I still have another groupon for here (Foolishly bought a 2 pack). I am going to call Groupon to try and get the other one refunded. My aesthetician is moving and booked solid until then. Which means I am hard pressed to find another one. Boy, will it not be this location. I gave 2 stars because the office is nice and welcoming. WORST & MOST PAINFUL waxing experience I ever had! I booked a full body wax with Angie and had a horrible experience. I paid 50% of the service upfront and came in excited to do my full body wax. Angie started off with my Brazilian and it was a NIGHTMARE, she repeatedly went over my vag area over 7 times and WOULDN'T EVEN HOLD DOWN MY SKIN AFTER YANKING OFF THE WAX!! When I took a look, my Brazilian wasn't even half way done! My skin was full of blisters and bumps that did not go away even after the appointment and she even ripped off parts of my skin down there. She was kind enough to ask if I wanted to pause my Brazilian and continue with the rest of my full body wax BUT IT DIDNT GET BETTER. She seems like an unexperienced esthetician who did not know what she was doing. I have had many waxing sessions before at other locations and have never experienced something like this. She did a partial Brazilian, my legs and lower back and I had to ask her to stop because I could not handle it anymore. She then forced me to pay the full price even though I did not finish the service due to her brutal service. She offered to reschedule me with a different esthetician. I was not able to attend the appointment due to Covid exposure the day of, yet the owner wanted to charge me another $15 apart from the full price. When I called from a diffrent number than to schedule an appointment then they finally decided to answer, but that's when they showed their true horrible customer service. Whoever I spoke to was super dismissived, told me she was busy until God knows when, then rudely questioned me, and stated that I was misinformed. If she would have taken a diffrent approach, I nicely stated she was booked there wouldn't be an issue. She had no desire to book anyone with a voucher. I really aim to be fair in this review so I will first acknowledge that present employees were very apologetic and offered me a free eyebrow wax on my next visit (but, worthless, because everyone could recognize I was never coming back). WARNING: I legitimately feel an ethical obligation to alert other women that your conversations in the room are easily overheard from the the waiting room. To the young woman who had a Brazilian wax at 6:15 on 8/2 I heard all conversation during your appointment. I know everything. I tried to signal to you as you booked another appointment, but I couldn't catch your attention. I'm sorry. I deeply hope that you see this! I arrived at 5:50 for my 6pm appointment. I waited in the empty waiting room for fifteen minutes. Once an employee appeared it was suggested that I was in the wrong location. I was literally coerced into proving my appointment was legitimate by presenting text messages with an absent employee all about what facial I wanted, time, place, etc. this employee was called several times, no answer. By 6:15 another woman arrived and revealed she had been scheduled for a Brazilian at 5:15 and told to return at 6. I was approached to allow this woman to go before me since her service was shorter, in front of her. I'm not an asshole, so of course I approved her going first but I don't appreciate being put on the spot when I was already waiting awhile. My facial was 45 minutes late. It was a pretty lackluster facial. I had to rinse residue off my face when I got home. If you've made it this far I want you to know that the parking sucks, this location is not accurate on google maps, and the office building is old and weird. I came across a groupon for this place and saw that it was close to my house- so I made an appointment. Upon arriving, I filled out a form- pressure, health conditions, area specific preference etc...MaryAnn informed me that while I had purchased a groupon, she was not a therapist that accepted groupon massages. I had totally skipped over the fine print! I still wanted to get a massage, and apologized for the misstep- she offered me a discount even though I was the one that made the mistake. Super sweet!
