Worst. Pedicure. Ever. I got the "happier" pedicure and trust me when I say I did not leave happy. It's supposed to include a "hot stone" 5 minute massage and I never saw a hot stone. The massage was rushed and barely a massage at all. The gel polish was an outrageous $12 up charge and completely sloppy. You shouldn't even consider this place, i thought i would give it a try even though there were bad reviews because im new to the city and needed a new nail salon to go to but i came in to get a full set and they barely put any acrylic on the nail. They leave the nail soo thin and i don't get why they're being stingy with the acrylic powder. I've broken 3 nails already, i have never had this issue with my nails from a place i used to go to in costa mesa. this is really upsetting because they charged me 50 dollars for a shitty job. Lynn, the owner and her staff welcomed us in and took great care of us that was six years ago and I still continue to come here even though I moved to Garden Grove. I have met soooo many great people there who are long time Customers. They take walk ins, but if there are more then 2 in your party for Manis and pedis I'd get an appt even though you may still have to wait a few minutes. I come here a lot because it is close to my house and I always say I won't be back to myself but then I end up giving them the benefit of the doubt and they still disappoint me. Their nails come out good but man they're attitude. I brought my little sister for her first manicure experience and ladies kept arguing with me about the color being loud and rude in front of my sister. Incredibly disappointed with the service I received at this salon. I was sat in a chair and not acknowledged for 5/10 minutes. Once I was, I was handed a menu for pedi options. I selected #2 which includes about 5 services for $25. Toward the end of the pedicure the tech tells me the menu is wrong and if I want the services I thought I was going to receive with the option I had selected I would need to pay for each additional service. WHAT?! I think shady is the word for this. Also, I selected 3 of the color options from their menu and none were available. Then the one that was available didn't have the matching gel color. Just got my lashes filled by the lovely Anna at nail expo! I was in a rush and desperate to find a place local to give me a eye lash extension fill. Anna wasnt even working this sunday but she came in anyway to see me. I was in and out within an hour. The last few times ive had fills, they took almost 2 hours and they still didnt look as great as i wanted them to be. She made the lashes lay perfectly with the way my eye shape is, they look extremly natural! I booked my next appointment before i even payed. I find myself struggling with how to rate Nail Expo. I've been coming here on-and-off since the middle of my college years... so roughly 2005. Every time I came, I was greeted by the same ladies and received top notch, dedicated service. Even when I moved away to the U.K. and came here on visits home, the ladies were wonderful and even remembered me. I felt special. It's hard to feel 'special' at a nail salon, that gets... how many patrons? Anyway, I came this past Sunday, as I knew I was going to be in the Tustin area. Nail Expo has expanded to a larger location just a few doors down from where they were previously. Good for them! I was told about a 10 - 15 minute wait. 45 minutes later... I was finally seen. That aside, the whole time my nails were being done, it felt like a complete rush. Everyone was running around- busy, busy, busy. There wasn't that 'dedication' that I used to love about this place. They seem to have brought on a semi-receptionist, who's just responsible for asking what you want done. (This used to be done by one of the technicians.) She just seems to wander around, and I'm not yet sure of her purpose, 'cos she certainly can't predict wait time. Nevertheless, I left with absolutely flawless french manicured nails - so I'm happy. Based on my last experience - I would have given this place two stars. Based on every experience before Sunday - five stars. Therefore, setting with 4 for now.... PS: Regular manicure, $10. Came in last Thursday at 6:15 pm with no appointment and they took me in even though they close at 7pm. I got a full acrylic set for $18! Kathy was the manicurist who did my nails. She was very politely and as we got to talking she informed me she has been doing nails for 15 years! She didn't rush me at all and took her time to get my nails just right! I am very particular about my nails because I need to have them short for work, like really short! Usually, at other locations I feel like they get mad at me for wasting the plastic nails since I have them cut off more than half the length. But Kathy was great she cut them exactly like I liked and when painting them she was super kind and did an extra top coat that made my nails look extremely shiny. The place looked fairly clean and organized. However, my one pet peeve is hearing the employees constantly speak Vietnamese when customers are present. You don't have to speak the language to know that are talking smack about other customers. While I was there I experienced this, but luckily Kathy didn't say anything and instead just kept up friendly conversation with me! Thank you Kathy! See you in a few weeks! read more

Don't be scared away by the bad reviews. Drove past here looking for a nail salon and was happy to see that they weren't closed yet! They took me in, and the woman giving me a pedicure was so nice and warm. I'm never convinced to do the pricier pedicure or manicure options. Ever! But she was so nice I was convinced to get the happier pedicure option. I recommend this place as an inexpensive option to get your nails done. This is my friend's go to place and in a bind I decided to stop in. First off, they left me soaking in the chair for 10 minutes while I was waiting...which isn't a big deal since I got to enjoy the massage. However the girl kept trying to push products and services on me. Just give me a pedicure!! At the end when I asked for change, she said she only had 2 $5s - which is impossible because nail salons always have singles. She bamboozled another $1 out of me. Never again. From the moment I walked in the door I got a rude greeting from a male (maybe the owner) "what do you want?" . After telling him what I wanted, having to announce to the whole shop what services I was requesting. A lady nice, but appeared to be in a rush, told me to have a seat. As she fills up the spa, I told her I like it hot. She looks and turned it down , I said "hot! I like it hot!" still no follow through even when the man with the mask intervened. I said ok whatever! I understand that not everyone may speak English thoroughly, but basic words like hot & cold should be something one must learn when your working with the public. I've been a loyal customer for the past year! This place is very convenient for me since it is very close to my job and their prices are very affordable. You pay $15 for a basic spa pedicure and you certainly get your money's worth. The pedicure included like a two minute massage for each foot. This is heaven when you walk in heels 5 out of 7 days of the week. (not recommended for the foot squeamish). Cathy is my go-to gal! She does my pedicure, eye brows, and nails. I have referred a few people here so she always goes the extra mile. I only gave them a four because some of the other ladies in there are not so happy and in a rush. Ask for Cathy! This place is a hole in the wall, the service is below average and the decorating is super hodgepodge! When I walked in I said I just needed a manicure and no lie the ladies asked me 3 more times if I wanted a pedicure!!! I said "no thanks just hands". Any Who they tried to sell me on a paraffin hand dip and when I declined the worker didn't seem that happy with me. Either way the manicure was all of 20 minutes long and consisted of the worst hand massage. The girl never went passed my wrist! As far as pricing goes, it's super cheap for sure, so I guess it's true, you get what you pay for! If you're a sports fan you may like it here as the TV was on ESPN the whole time!
