So rude, I went there for a regular manicure. I prefer to use my own instruments and it was not my first time there. The lady didn't have any issues working with my own instruments before. But this time, the other person started complaining and without even asking me started using her own instruments. I was so shocked and said I don't want her to use them and she started talking Spanish with the other person and left. No apology, nothing. Of course I left very disappointed and dissatisfied. Best service I have ever gotten at a nail salon, hands down! Susanna was incredibly thorough and friendly and the owners are the sweetest couple!! I went in with really callused feet and usually they remain pretty callused after my pedicure, but not here! Also, it's been one week since my manicure and it's barely chipped. That never happens. What an amazing little place! The staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming. On Fridays they pour wine while you're getting your services done (love that perk!). My nails look fabulous. The technician (Susanne) did a great job on their shape. I got the french done on my fingers and the white lines are even and thin-- just the way that I like them. I got a red on my toes and it also looks very good. The reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 is that the polish on my toes is a little sloppy and I thought the servies should have taken a little longer. Either way, they give great massages. Their credit card machine was down so they let me know right away...which I appreciated. They start with manicures which is brilliant because by the time they're done with the pedicure, your nails are mostly dry thereby preventing any mess-ups. Mary was very friendly and offered advice for my dry cuticles/skin. Her hand/feet massages were excellent. She also made sure to get any nail polish off my skin. This place is absolutely wonderful. I've come here on four different occasions and have never been unsatisfied with my mani or pedi's. The ladies here are truly nice and have great technique. The selection of colors are top-notch vast. What I most look for in any nail salon is cleanliness. I'm always concerned with how hygienic the staff keeps their tools and their baths. I can definitely say that the Nail Concepts crew keeps everything very clean and don't feel concerned about potentially catching an infection. I have been to this nail place three times for a pedicure and they do an excellent job and it is only $15! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They even offered me a glass of wine while I was getting my pedicure! The foot massages feel really good (which is a plus in my book!) Honestly disappointed. Got a pedi done and she didn't remove any of my cuticles. If I wanted just nail polish I could have just done it at home for free. Also got a Brazilian wax done (I've been getting them done for 2 years at European wax) but it was done with a cloth which is way more painful and it was still stubby. Giving it two stars because the lady who was performing the service was somewhat nice. It was the worst mani padi ever I have experinaced in my life. She didn't cut out any skin in the sides of nails neither hands nor feet. She shaped nails the worst way possible, applied such a thick layer of nail polish that it took me forever to dry. The manicure and pedicure looks sloppy like I have done it myself (maybe I could do it even better myself). She looked like she was doing everything in a rush even though I was the only person in salon. The lady applied something really greasy over my feet very unless ant feel. Such a hidden gem! I recently moved from Washington St back to Madison St. After the gym last Friday I walked into three salons on Washington all with 20 minute waits and being the most impatient person I left. On the way back to Madison I walked past this place so decided to pop in. First of all they have so many colors which I think is awesome because I always get fun and funky colors which are hard to find everywhere. Anyway aside from all that, it is now Wednesday and my manicure is still intact. Manicures are $8 and on Tuesday's and Wednesday's they have $20 mani pedi. Visiting hoboken and found this cute and cozy nail salon. Which was great cause I am moving here next month. Yelped and got nail concepts on top and well deserved cause they are just awesome. Manager and staff as well. I read some of the reviews and I was there on a Friday and did get wine so it's not true that they don't, I told the owner about that review and she mention if for any reason she is not there on a Friday then there is no wine serving as the girls are not allowed to do so. This is my go to nail place in Hoboken, and I had tried over half a dozen before I found them. I typically go for the Tuesday/Wednesday special of $20 mani/pedi. They do a great job on my nails and the polish will typically last me around a week before it starts to chip, with the way I abuse my hands (gardening, cleaning, etc.) is pretty amazing. Some things to know: they do no do gel nails, and will charge extra to remove a gel. Also make sure to call for an appointment, they are not a huge place and fill up quickly. read more

This salon is the cleanest and cheapest salon in Hoboken. $20.00 for a mani/pedi on a Tuesday or Wednesday - which is great, and on top of that it is the cleanest one I've been to. The owner was there and both the girls working were friendly and detail oriented. I picked a light color for my nails and she made sure to do 3 coats so that it looked perfect. Worst pedicure I've ever had. Nail tech barely clipped my cuticles and clipped them after she dried my feet, washed my feet only never scrubbed my heels or bottom of my foot and massaged them for two seconds. The Manicure service was average and she didn't clip my cuticles with that service either and when asked to do it she was confused. She seemed very inexperienced. read more

I've been here twice and they do a good job but I was a bit disappointed when I showed up to get a $20 mani/pedi and they told me I'd have to pay $10 to take my gels off. Then they told me they'd have to use acetone to do it and it would damage my nails so I should probably get them done somewhere else. Ok, I appreciate the honesty but since i was half way through my pedicure when I found out this information I was left having to pay $15 for a pedicure and I STILL have to go get my nails done.
