The space, while small, is beautifully decorated. Hani really put work into making it feel like a luxurious nail salon despite the itty-bitty size. She always puts up seasonal decorations, too, which is a nice personal touch. I've gotten my nails done by both Hani and Yoli, depending on availability. You can make an appointment through the app very easy - although, you may have to book two to three weeks out because slots fill up quickly. The girls here do quality work, and they are open to intricate designs (depending on who's working on you). There are just a few things that prevented me from giving it five stars, and what prevents me from returning. I found that I was never taken on time, and this is a huge pet peeve of mine. I hate going to nail salons and waiting around for them to finish clients. Five, ten, or even fifteen minutes is nothing - but if I'm waiting a half hour past my appointment, my time is being wasted. Why make an appointment if it's not going to be honored? Another detail is that Hani really caters to her regular customers (and she had a lot of them). There is a distinct difference between how certain customers are spoken to, treated, and serviced, and I personally felt like there wasn't really any warmth established with me during the few times I went to this salon. This could be my perception of things, of course - but I've got to many nails salons where I was a new customer and felt more welcomed. I don't expect to be treated like I'm a celebrity on the red carpet, but I do expect to be treated with a little more customer service being that I am purchasing a service. For example, I went in around the holiday season and they were giving out little hand creams as gifts. There were a lot of customers - every chair was filled - and every customer that left while I was in there got a hand cream. When I went to pay, I got nothing. Favoritism like that will definitely turn away customers in the long run. Regardless, this salon will offer you quality work and service (if you can get an appointment), however do expect to wait for your appointment. Perhaps you will have a better customer experience then me - and I hope you do!

Then the morning of the appointment I received a confirmation for a 5:00 appointment. They require clients to give 24 hour notice to cancel or change appointments (or be charged $20). I called them and they agreed to honor the 4:30 appointment. They were very pleasant when I arrived. Even though the location is quite convenient, my time is too valuable to keep on changing my schedule for a pretty average pedicure.

I've been coming here since October, and I am very satisfied with Just For Nails. Is it perfect? Nope, and that's what you have to keep in mind. This is a local nail salon that offers decent services at a reasonable price. I used to come here years ago, and over time, this place has seen new owners come and go and even had a name change. This place is very close to my house, and I use to drive to Cliffside to go get my nails done. After becoming frustrated with my old salon, I decided to try this place on a whim as it is literally blocks from my house. I'm so happy I did. (Keep in mind that if you are driving here, parking is a nightmare.) My usual is a UV gel fill in with design. I try to tailor the design based on the nail tech - for example, my nail tech down the show can paint literally anything on my nails. Being that I've only been coming here for a few months, I try to select art that's simple enough to complete but also looks trendy and stylish (although, I have seen some really intricate stuff come from this place. Just look at their Instagram!). I usually see Dianita, and it seems she is the person who completes all the intricate nail art, so if you're like me, you can ask for her by name. Every time I've gone here, Dianita has been able to offer me a great, long lasting UV gel fill (5+ weeks) with wonderful nail art - just look at my pictures! (If you're also interested in nail art, be sure to bring a photo. They will tell you if they can do it or not.) Although I don't speak Spanish, she tries to communicate with me as best she can by making suggestions or telling me if something won't work, looks weird, etc., which I honestly appreciate. And the best part is - she actually LISTENS to what you want. Shorter nails? No problem. Different shape? Absolutely. Not to mention, the prices are consistent and I'm always out in a timely fashion. To me, that is most important. The place is also very clean, although my one critique is that sometimes the techs have personal stuff laying about (such as groceries or food), and it makes the nail salon feel a bit cluttered. They also have a secretary who speaks both English and Spanish. You can also DM their IG to make an appointment, which has been super useful. Overall, I'm super happy with this place and will definitely continue to give them my business.

When I first started coming here, I was genuinely impressed by Yuly's attention to detail and creativity. I loved her designs and even suggested that she expand her chrome and specialty color options which she did. For the past two years, I have come in every month and have almost always gotten a chrome manicure. Over time, however, the experience has declined. Lately, many of the chrome powders have been out of stock and have not been restocked. There are also frequently basic polish colors missing, and I have sometimes had the impression that similar, but not identical, were used in place of the ones selected from the display. While this was frustrating, it was not enough to make me stop coming. Today changed that. I came in for my birthday nails (which was a simple color + chrome combo) and was told that the chrome powder I wanted was not only out of stock (not surprising) but also could not be done because I had not selected a specific add-on in the new booking system. This was surprising because I booked the appointment the same way I always have for chrome manicures. To make matters worse, there is no standalone chrome powder option in Yuly's booking portal, so it was not at all clear that I was supposed to select something different. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. I would have expected that after two years of monthly appointments, and as a customer who is consistently punctual and tips well, there would have been some grace, or at the very least a kind explanation of how to book correctly in a system that seems to change frequently. Instead, I was made to feel as though adding chrome had always been some special favor, rather than a service I was paying extra for. If I am paying an additional $20+ for a chrome finish that takes only a few extra minutes I should not be gaslit as if I am asking for something extravagant and unreasonable. Loyal customers should be treated with more care, professionalism, and courtesy.

The last time I went one of the ladies was very rough and cut the bottom of my foot when scrubbing it. Ever since the last pedicure my big toes got swollen after she tried to get my ingrown nails out. That tells me she didn't do a good job because that's never happened to me before. It was a very few painful days after.
