My nails were in dire need of an acrylic fill-in and I called many nail salons in NJ and NY to no avail. I finally called Gotham Nails and they were able to take me in for an acrylic fill-in and regular pedicure at 6:15 on a weekday! I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews but I'm glad I didn't let them scare me off. I arrived at my appointment time and I went right to the pedicure chair. The nail tech was really kind and did a decent job. It was not the best I've gotten but it'll do! I also didn't like that the chairs don't move forward since I'm short. They also don't have a massage feature but those are not a big deal. After my pedicure I went for the fill-in. I believe the owner was removing my previous polish. She was soo nice and started conversation with me. It made the place very inviting. I was then moved to another nail tech who worked on the actual fill-in and painting. She did such a great job with the shape! I was super impressed. My nails were originally pretty thick and she worked on flattening them out without me asking. Pricing was pretty standard for nail salons in this area. I enjoyed my first experience here and so thankful they were able to take me last minute! I'll be back.

This is my go-to local spot and I'm just so lucky! I also have such a great mani and pedi - my fav girls are Teresa and Rachel. Their acrylic, dip, and gel manis are fab and the colors are endless!! Best pricing I've seen around Hoboken too. Always have availability! Highly recommend :)

I've been going to Gotham Nails ever since they opened about 18 years ago. Rosie & her team are always professional, friendly & make my nails look gorgeous! Back in Dec when I was turning 50 I had one girl painting my nails on one hand & another girl painting a metallic nail art "50" on my other hand. Whatever I wanted, they aimed to please. On top of their talents, the salon is always very clean & during Covid I felt very safe going there. Last but not least they just did a new update with all new comfy pedicure chairs & a fun wall to take your instagram pics!

I'm so in LOVE with this place!!! I came to do my nails Poly Gel and Alexa did a great Job she knew exactly what I wanted with the design. Also did a pedicure and it was super relaxing... I highly recommend this place!

    1 week long wear!

A solid choice for a low cost, low frills mani/pedi that you will very rarely have to wait for. I've recently started getting the week long wear and depending on the manicure it actually sometimes does last a week, but not always. I never mind paying a couple extra bucks for this because normal nail polish will chip the very next day, so even if this lasts an extra day or two, let alone an actual week, it is very much worth it. The women are kind and do good work and the place seems very clean. Besides those three things, the only thing that matters in a basic manicure are color options and I think that is where these guys fall short. Whether it is normal nail polish or the 1 week, they don't have a big selection and the one 1 week I did find and love (the red that I posted a picture of) they didn't have the next time I came in. For $15 for a 1 week mani, it is a great option. But I do wish they had better colors. I do highly recommend but just know that the color selection might be a bit lacking.

Best holiday manicure ever! I'm in love with my nails! The staff are super friendly and do a thorough, highly professional job. I truly couldn't be happier with my acrylics and gorgeous art work! Simply beautiful!

Came here because it's on class pass. The salon is very clean. The employees are very nice and accommodating. Their work is quick and efficient (in the best way). They don't rush through your mani/pedi like some places. Very happy with my services.

Staff is SOO sweet! They make sure that you are happy with your nails. I am very picky and realize that can be annoying but they did not seem to mind at all! They let me look at my nails every step of the way to ensure that I was happy with them.

Dishonest business that I urge you to stay away from. They didn't realize I could hear what they were saying when they were debating what to charge me because I was a new customer. (If you notice their prices aren't listed anywhere). They butchered my nails so I asked to pay for my pedicure and leave .. the woman then charged me $5 more than what I was told was the initial price. There are so many other nail salons in Hoboken offering respectable business.

First time here and I got a dip manicure. My nails are so thick and look very messy. Would not recommend.

I am underwhelmed and the reviews were too kind. I booked a 6:15 pm appointment with Alicia as there were some reviews about her. I get to my 6:15 pm appointment at 6:05 pm. It is a tiny salon on the corner. As I walk in I am not greeted just stared at so I walk to the back and let them know I have an appointment. They told me to sit down. After sitting I realized they had not sat me with Alicia and the tech looked visibly annoyed and handed me a bunch of gel color books. I stopped looking at the books for a second and she scolded me asking me if I had picked a color. When I mentioned that I had an appointment with Alicia, another tech came over and explained that Alicia was with another customer and that me booking with her did not guarantee me getting her. I was baffled and asked why. She explained that I had not made a note that I really wanted to see Alicia they had sat me with the next available tech - which is bizarre. The girl I had was rude and rushed through the entire pedicure. She massaged my feet for about 90 seconds. The techs are unwelcoming and it was an uncomfortable experience. The price is steep and the customer service lacks. I've never been to another salon that forces you to make a note to get an appointment with who you really want. Needless to say I won't be back.

In addition to the hype, I heard that they offered Dazzle Dry, a service that was new to me but was essentially a long-lasting manicure without the need for harsh gel polish and all of the issues that go along with that. I read several reviews for this original location and saw that Kitty was highly recommended, so I booked an appointment with her on their website. I arrived at the salon and found it clean, modern, and cozy, but a bit cramped. I checked in at the front desk and was told to sit at the last desk, where my manicure then began. My technician was extremely careful and detailed. She filed my nails perfectly, was very gentle while trimming my cuticles, and expertly painted each digit. However, I did notice that she followed a slightly different process than on the Dazzle Dry website in that she did not leave a lot of time between each coat and let the top coat dry for 10 minutes (rather than 5) before applying the finishing oil. (I gave it some time before I wrote this review to see how that would affect the length of the manicure, but it lasted for over two weeks! I even heavily cleaned my apartment during that time and did not experience any chipping. I was impressed!) As my treatment was wrapping up, I heard someone call out for "Kitty", but she was addressing an entirely different woman. It was at that point that I realized that I had been engaging with another beautician. I did not want to make a big deal out of it, but I asked the front desk attendant who had worked on me, and she said "Yolanda". I was a bit annoyed that they had altered my appointment without saying anything to me, but since Yolanda had done such a nice job, I just let it go. At least I now know of two recommended manicurists!

I didn't have to wait long for someone to take me upon arrival. My initial thought is "wow this place is TIGHT," it feels super cramped. And it was crowded on a weekday at 3PM. Very hoboken crowd, iykyk. I get assigned to a manicurist who really isn't that friendly. Low-key rude and not pleasant. They randomly ask me to switch manicurists to the girl next to her. Don't give me a reason why. I ask the manicurist why and she just shrugs. OK? I had my own nail polishes because I'm super picky about that thing. The new girl was kind. Sweet. Very young. We spoke Spanish. You can tell she was new because the rude manicurist was telling her what not to do and what to do next. My manicure was OK. I gave her a good tip because I knew she was new and they were just being rude to her. My cuticles were cut up the next day, weird because I've never had that happen to me. Doubt I'll return. Too bad because the place was nice and clean just so cramped.
