I called on a Saturday morning to make an appointment for a half hour later. I arrived a few minutes early and Jennifer took me right away for my pedicure. This salon is extremely clean and Jennifer used a new set of implements. This was one of the best spa pedicures I've had in Hoboken/Weehawken. Jennifer did not rush and gave an amazing reflexology massage. I left relaxed and happy. I'll be back. The only negative was that even though there were signs with password for WiFi, there was no internet access. I am reading a lot of negative reviews here which is puzzling. I get a pedicure here pretty regularly and I am always impressed. The place is very clean looking. It has an all-white motif so it was dirty, you would know. But it looks clean. Very clean, in fact. I pay slightly more for a polish that lasts longer, but it's worth the extra money. They are not super chatty, but they provide the services you requested, take your credit card pretty quickly after and that's that. But most customers seem more into their phones and magazines anyway, so they are probably just giving people their space. read more

Do not go here for a dip powder manicure! I made an appt and when I got there my technician, Michelle, was trying to convince me to do gel. I said I didn't want that and she proceeded with the powder. However, she skipped 2 steps in the process and didn't use the correct polish when doing it. She only put the color on and then never filed it down, just put a top coat on. However, since she didn't do the process correct it wasn't too thick so the filing wasn't necessary. I live across the street and this is not my go-to nail salon, so that should tell you something. I tried them once around the holidays and was unimpressed with my gel manicure and pedicure. It was fine, but nothing to justify the high prices. What really ticked me off was witnessing the male manager talk a woman into getting her (probably 8 year old) daughter a spa pedicure along with her, then trying to charge her for the full amount. She (and I, as a bystander sucked into the conversation in an otherwise quiet salon) were under the impression that he was offering to have one of the women do so for just maybe a tip, since it was midday and slow. She was astonished to pay $60 for her daughter's pedicure. I was looking to stay cool on a 95 degree day so I tried them again today, rather than going to my usual (Modern Nails on Washington, they're amazing). Again, the pedicure and manicure are fine, but a gel manicure and regular pedicure was $68. Literally $20 more than the better service you get at Modern Nails. Their work is *fine* but that's not the main problem here. I go in for a gel pedicure, and state exactly that. Gel pedicure please. She says ok gel, and then hands me a menu (Photo of menu included) and asks me "which pedicure you want?" So I read over the menu and select the sea salt pedicure. I see nothing on this menu other than the list of services + the prices. Correct me if I'm wrong and you read otherwise. Im 100% under the impression I'm getting a $55 pedicure because absolutely nothing more was mentioned. I simply said I want a gel pedi, and her response was this menu asking which pedi I want. All I know is this list is what my options are. By checkout, I'm charged $95 because my gel pedicure was actually $40 and this $55 pedicure was an ADD ON. Where on this menu does it say these are add ons? Where on this menu does it say $55+? Why wouldn't she disclosure to me that these are extras, not the pedicure prices? She did NOT say "do you want to add on one of these?" She clearly asked which one I want so I'm thinking these are how they do their gel pedis. Hands down the worst mani pedi I've ever gotten. I was the only person in the salon for most of the time I was there and yet my nail lady made me feel like I was bothering her by having her do my nails. She didn't give me a massage with my pedicure, which was really upsetting, and my heels are just as rough as when I went in. I could have done just as good of a job myself at home. As far as my manicure, I had to ask her twice to paint my entire nail. I realize how strange that sounds, but she wasn't putting the polish all the way to the edges of my nails which made it look like they'd already grown out. Another nail technician finally explained to her what I meant after over hearing me. My lady never spoke to me, smiled at me, or even looked at me. It was so uncomfortable. Like the rest of the Tutti clients, I have had mixed experiences here. The customer service isn't always great - specifically this past weekend. My sister and I went for split services. I got a pedi while she got a mani...her mani was rushed (even though there were no clients waiting) and the woman sat at the front desk afterwards doing nothing. Instead of taking her time and valuing our business. On top of that, my sisters manicure chipped 24 hours after. Seems like the women who work at the shop are much better than the man and woman who run it. I've gotten a mani here as well and it was streaky AND a more expensive gel than most Hoboken nail salons. Meh! Been to this place twice just because my usual nail salon was busy and both times my experience has been just ok. They do a mediocre job of polish application. Staff is very polite and friendly but just not skilled enough. My pedicure felt the shortest ever. Callus is dry and cracked- no attempt to scrub it. Polish is smudged already (been few hours).. I started going to Tutti for manicures within the first month it opened and have been pleased to return every month since. Cleanliness is the highest factor for me when going to a salon and Tutti maintains the highest standard. The facility is brand new and the all white decor with natural sunlight is beautiful. It doesn't smell like a typical nail salon at all. When you walk in you are greeted immediately. I have only had to wait for a manicure once and that was on a Saturday around 3pm. I have had multiple technicians and everyone has been great. The only less than stellar technician I had was a young girl who filed my nails way too low, but I could have done a better job at paying attention to help explain as well. Most of the tools they use are packaged so you don't have to worry about bacteria. Regular manicure is $12 (amazing) plus tip. Note, all tips must be in cash. I have brought many friends with me to Tutti and have recommended it to anyone looking for a great, clean, friendly, and consistent salon. read more

Update... The salon is still clean and has a million colors. The problem is the people who work here are so insanely rude. It's not even worth stepping foot inside. The last time I was here the woman doing my mani/pedi asked to stop in the middle, have me wait twenty minutes to help a regular who walked in unexpectedly. Then another time I stopped in without an appointment there were two woman free but insisted on starting with a manicure instead of pedi... Umm no. The salon is beautiful and everyone is friendly but for the price I was hoping for better. They have special polishes like Zoya and Butter London which is a plus, but both colors I picked from those brands were too thick and I was told to choose something else. My toes had already been painted so I was trying to find a color that matched. After being told three times to choose another color because the salon's polishes were unusable, I picked a Vinylux Polish and they said it'd be $5 more. At that point I figured they would have just let me do Vinylux without the upcharge since ALL of my previous picks were bad, but nope. The pedicure massage lasted literally 15 seconds on each foot and there's polish all over my skin. The manicure was great up until the polish application when he, again, got polish all over my skin. Then I had to specifically request that he clean it up a bit (seriously?) and now the sides of my nails look uneven because he took polish off of the nail itself in the process. The polish is also bubbly. I could paint my own nails and do a better job. Sticking to my other tried and true nail salons in Hoboken. Will not be back. read more

RIDICULOUS SERVICE, BAD MANICURE. This place has a serious attitude problem. I wanted to give it a try despite it's bad review because the interior look nice. But when I walk in the shop first, one lady was a very rude. When I was checking out their services, she just pointed her fingers and make sounds with a very grumpy face. I asked for a powder manicure. The guys assigned haphazardly did the nail filing for me. It's so ridiculous that every finger it was different shapes and he would not listen to what my concern was. When I told him that all my fingers are lopsided he just said there's something wrong with my eyes and the way I look at it. I've grown my nail out to get a manicure because I would like to keep the length. They filed my nail so short that I need to wait for another month to do a proper manicure. The workers are humming and talking to each other in Korean while giving you a service. One lady beside me who's getting a manicure showed concerned about the colour. She was also treated rudely by her service provider, accusing her of not letting them know before hand. She was also unhappy with the service. I told them I will not do keep doing the manicure and I will just pay for the filing fee. They didn't even try to remedy the situation or offer me another person to do my manicure. And just told me to get out and said they will not charge me. But I will still write a review because I want to warn you guys from stepping into this place. Now I have to wait for another month to get another manicure and it's just terrible. I agree with some of the other comments that we are getting manicure to relax not to be yelled at by the people in the shop. But this is not the way how you should run your business. First if you're going to run a business in America, learn how to speak English properly. When there's a problem don't just kick your customer out like that. ***UPDATE*** 3/24/17 I went to Tutti today for the first time since writing my review in January. There, I learned that the situation that I wrote about below has been resolved; the manager that was treating the employees so poorly has left. I would like to thank the owner of Tutti for looking into the situation and taking action. I will certainly be coming back often, and will spread the word about this nail salon that has a great (clean, fresh) atmosphere, top notch nail services and an owner that truly cares about the well being of his employees and customers. . 5 Stars!!! ******* I have been going to Tutti every week for about a year. I love the salon because it's clean, nicer than the average quick manicure spot and super close to where I live. Almost since I began going there, I've booked my appointments with Mimi, because she does a really good job, is super professional and sweet and always makes me feel very special - for example, she always gets me a cup of tea, knows which colors I like, etc. My last 3 visits, however, I noticed the manager has treated her terribly. Last time I was there, the manager actually yelled at Mimi in front of me and other customers. Mimi was on the verge of tears and my heart broke for her. It seems like the manager is borderline verbally abusive to her and the other hispanic workers. I worry how the manager treats her when customers aren't there, since she treats her so poorly when customers are present. I asked to speak to the owner to discuss the treatment of the employees, but the owner doesn't seem to ever be in the salon. I can't find an email address of the owner to write a proper email, so I'm writing this yelp review in case the owner reads these reviews. If you are reading, please look into the treatment of your employees by the manager at the Hoboken location. I would hate to take my business elsewhere, but will have to do so - and soon - if the situation is not resolved. This is a small town where businesses are run in large part by word of mouth. I often bring friends to the salon and highly recommend it to my mom friends in hoboken. But will have to pause my recommendation until the situation is resolved. I suppose that I am now going to give a detailed complaint on Yelp like others I have made fun of in the past, but here it goes: I went for a gel mani/pedi today, my technician was Ali- she was absolutely adorable and kind. This is not about her. When I went to pay, I noticed that they have cash only tips...silly me had none, per usual, and asked Ali if she accepted Venmo- she did not. I then pulled my wallet out to pay with my Amex card that has had a chip that does not work for months. (You have to put it the chip part of the machine three times first, then swap for it to work. If it does not work, most places just type in the number.) I tend to use ApplePay these days, so is not a problem. I clearly explained this to the man, (not sure if he is the Mgr, but as clearly the person in charge), but he was not listening. I only had another debit card for an account that I don't have the pin code for, the machine required it. (My "secret" account that I use to pay for gifts for my husband, etc). I could not find my chase debit card, and proceeded to call my husband on the phone to see if it was in the stroller. I simultaneously gave my Amex to the guy to hold, I believe he may have even mentioned my going to to get another form of payment. He looked at me suspiciously and then asked fo drivers' license which I gave him. This is were it gets interesting.... I walked out of the salon, on my way to get payment...as he HAD my license and Amex...and he literally followed me into the street and yelled "you have to pay!". I was totally confused and then infuriated and embarrassed- he is the one who said to go get another form of payment, because he couldn't TYPE IN my card #? I confess, it is has been a long week.. just had a death in the family on Friday, so I proceeded to raise my voice... stormed back in and slammed my LV wallet on the counter saying. "Here, here is my wallet" and informed him that he was acting like a racist. (Note: I am married to the most caucasian guy ever, grew up in the burbs, so this is not something that I take lightly or ever do). I stormed home, flustered and infuriated to get my hubby's wallet and returned to the shop. I gave whatever cash was in my wallet to poor Ali and left him with a lecture about how I knew my behavior was not ideal, but I was infuriated about the way that I was treated. This is true: he treated me with suspicion, accused me of stealing services (despite any evidence), and honestly made an already emotional weekend additionally dramatic. He also mentioned that he was "not the Manager", as if that matters. My only apology is to the other patrons, hopefully I did not ruin their experience. Arrived for my appointment on time. They stopped service mid way to completely start serving snother customer that just arrived. They did not even say a word to me so I had assumed they were just trying to get the customer to settle until i realized 20 mins had passed and my technician was on the other side of the salon serving the new customer. Oh well I had to be at another appt before they closed so I beckoned to the manager politely if they could just clean me up so i could leave. Needless to say, the services I went in for was half way done. I have never seen anything like this.. I felt so humiliated n cried all the way home.
