I booked pedicures for 5 for a girls night. We arrive on time and 3 of my friends got seated and they started on them. The other two chairs were almost ready so we waited. We finally sat down 15 minutes into the appointment and continued to sit for 45 minutes with no progress. They took our reservation but only 3 people work the pedicures... Much to our dismay, my friend and I finally decided to just do a color change. We go up to pay and they still charged us 18 dollars for just a color change AND waiting almost an hour. They also do not write down new appointments...they kept getting calls and accepting reservations while we were waiting with no actual scheduling in a book. I will never be coming back. read more

Let's just say you pay for what you get. A friend of mine told me she got a gel manicure AND pedicure from here for only $50. Knowing that gel or dip alone can cost $50, I was very interested. It almost sounded a bit too good to be true, and sadly it was. My gel manicure chipped not even 4 days after I got it. My pedicure chipped too. As for the atmosphere, the chairs with the basin are a nice concept but a bit strange when you actually sit on them. I was wearing a dress at the time and felt like I was flashing everyone since the chairs are so low to the ground. I will give them some credit however for knowing what I want. Writing this as I sit in the nail salon waiting for my sisters nails to finish drying. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. Blanca was doing my nails and got up in the middle of my manicure to start someone else's. She also started by picking my gel manicure off with her fingers as opposed to soaking. She stopped as she was filing my nails to check her cellphone. I was NOT happy and counting down until it was over. This is my second time here. The employees are rude, just stare at you when you ask questions and just bounce from customer to customer before they finish what they are doing. It is disgraceful, honestly. I love 2 blocks from here and will be shocked if my gel manicure makes it home in tact. Do not waste your time or money. Go somewhere else - I am open to recommendations if anyone has. read more

I started going here about 5 months ago for acrylics. All the girls who work there are friendly, and it is a positive energy environment. You can tell they have a good relationship with their clients, as it seems there are a lot of regulars who go there. They do a thorough job. After getting my acrylics off, I requested a dip powder manicure to be put on right after. My manicurist gently suggested I give my nail beds a rest so they can heal after being under acrylics for so long, and suggested ways I can heal them. Any other nail salon probably would have just taken my money and wouldn't care about the well being of my nails. I appreciated that she truly cared. read more

Awful experience! I never felt so uncomfortable while getting a pedi. As other people described the personnel speaks and swears in Spanish all the time not realizing that other people like me speak several languages. While someone senior started my pedi they quickly replaced this person with a young girl who was told in Spanish "you will learn by doing it". It was clear I was her first client. This poor girl was nervous and very inexperienced. She forgot the base coat and was using the cuticle cutter again and again even while painting the nails. She was so inexperienced that she twisted my ankle trying to find a comfortable position for her to paint my toe nails. As expected she did an awful job. I was kind enough to give her the benefit of the doubt and wait to see the final results. I left without drying my nails and did not have the manicure I also booked. It is very unprofessional from the senior employees to leave a client as a guinea pig to someone so unexperienced. In addition the poor job took over an hour with awful results. I've popped in here a few times in the past since it's only a block away, and they used to offer $20 pedicures. I went in this past weekend and was not so pleasantly surprised to see that 1) they removed all of the massage pedicure chairs and just dumped a very small amount of lukewarm soap water in a metal tub, which is not at all comfortable on your feet and felt I would tip it over, but then 2) noticed their price list now reflected $25 for the pedicure. It was also freezing in the salon, so overall, not a comfortable experience, and definitely not worth the $25 pedicure. I should've walked out when I saw the changes but opted to be polite and now I'm kicking myself for not having spend the money on the many more decent salons in town. Used to go here quite a bit but haven't in a while. They have renovated which looks nice but they replaced the big massage chairs and water jets with club chairs and buckets of water. Instead of soaking your feet in a nice deep jet tub you get a few inches of luke warm water that barely covers your feet because they have to carry the bucket from the sink . I get gels done on my nails and they do have a great selection of colors but you get no manicure whatsoever. They don't clip your nails or trim your cuticles. No clean up. Just filing, gel, and hand lotion. Everywhere else I go, I get a full manicure so my hands look good. With all the options available in Hoboken, this is now my emergency only nail salon. read more

I get appts sometimes are off but 45 min was insane and I only stayed bc i was going on vacation the next day so i needed my nails done. No apologies for the long delay. I could have looked the other way about this but my gel manicure started peeling off 3 days into my trip and completely off by 5 day. I was absolutely shocked when my sister told me about the horrendous and distressing experience she had at this nail salon. My sister called and asked if she could come right in and was told she had to make an appointment. She was told they were extremely busy. She made the appointment and came in soon after and they only had one customer. She walked in and had no friendly greeting but laughter as they looked at her. My sister asked for a manicure and polish change. The manicurist was not friendly ,as my sister tried to make conversation. She was told to pick a color and the manicurist kept telling her no because it would take too many coats. My sister said that's ok, she would pay for the extra coats ,and she was still told no. The manicurist then proceeded to cut some of my sisters cuticles with a large toenail clipper without soaking them and actually cut her twice and made her bleed. She did not even say sorry to my sister and just continued on and then put the acetone on my sister's fingers where the cuts were and my sister was hurting quite a bit ,and she still didn't even care that she was hurting her.!!! This was abhorrent! She never even soaked her hands or used water or did anything like a manicure. When she finally "approved" a color for my sister's nails and finished ,they charged her for a full manicure . what she actually was charged for was unbelievably horrible customer service, a color she did not really want, being cut and an overall apalling and dreadful experience.!! For whatever reason they did not like the looks of my sister ,there is never an excuse to treat another human being the way they treated her. I hope people take this review to heart and do not give people like this your hard earned money.! Footnote : I actually live in California and talk with my sister often. I really really hate reviewing things, but I was really disappointed with my pedicure. I have been coming to this place ever since I moved into Hoboken, which was 12 years ago. I only get pedicures in general. The people here are always great. Unfortunately, the last 2 times I was there my pedicures were sort of rushed and I guess they used too much top coat or whatever the pink stuff is and the color has been slipping off and pooling at the end of my skin. Yet, I have been coming here for so long that I understand maybe a couple bad days. Today I had a young woman I had never seen before but they were not busy so I was seen right away. The woman was rushing through the pedicure and usually they give you that quick complimentary scrub, but I had not gotten it and my heels were in rough shape. I figured she was new and maybe forgot that step. So I asked her if she could scrub my heels. I don't think she knew what I meant so she pointed to a bottle and I just said yes. She got some Saran Wrap and did a thing I never had before. No worries, I assumed the pedicure was no longer going to be $20 dollars and I was fine with that, but then I felt that everyone was annoyed that I didn't ask for that earlier (which I didn't even want). I could be wrong about that part. She finally finished and I could already see the nail polish pooling at the side of my nail, but I felt really uncomfortable about mentioning it. I sat down to dry and heard one of the other workers cursing about the pedicure in Spanish, which made me feel even worse. Decided to try this place as it's much closer to my apartment than my usual nail salon. Came in for a pedicure they took me right away and I was in and out of the chair in less than 10 minutes. NOT a good thing. Barely a massage or scrub, the pedicure is extremely messy with spots missing and my cuticle and skin near cuticle covered in polish. She also forgot a base coat until I said something which would have turned my nails yellow. Stay away! read more
