I just moved to Denton 4 days ago and I found this nail salon on yelp! Yelp never fails! I can't pronounce the name of my nail tech but she was a she and so kind and gentle. She took her time and didn't harm my nail or fingers one bit. Also it was a Friday afternoon and had no wait! This nail salon is 2-3 times the size of an average salon. And definitely staffed! The quality of a classic pedicure has greatly declined (unless one opts to pay for misaligned add-on that really should be part of a full, clean, serene spa experience...). Then this place is passing credit & debit card processing fees on to the customer--NOT cool at all. I am quite disappointed in the absence of a heel "scrub." Don't think that I'm bouncing around town with ashy heels that resemble elephant skin, but do know I like my elephant heel to be scrubbed a bit. We recently moved out here and it was very hard to find a good nail salon until I came upon this salon. I was greeted instantly and then picked out a color and was told to have a seat and they got started on my nails right away! They offered a variety of drinks: water, soda, wine and margaritas! Just disappointed I had so much hope. I'm in the market for a new place as mine closed. I even let them know that. The quality of the pedi was meh. Just ok. But was $50. I've been going to this nail spa for 5 years now and I must admit they have never disappointed me. I have the best nail tech ever name Ryan!! I come in with a picture of what I want and he delivers every time!! His wife Jenny does an amazing job on my pedicure and what I love the most is how they cater to my liking's. i went to get my tips off and a basic manicure. When the guy was taking them off I told him "ow this hurts" and he didn't listen and cut my skin. I was bleeding a lot and didn't go through with the manicure because my skin and nail was bleeding. He charged me $15 and I asked for a discount because of what happened and he was incredibly rude and refused. My whole finger was literally bleeding and he had to get multiple napkins to stop the blood. When I first entered, I was welcomed by a nice gentleman who helped me fill out the paper that included what I had wanted since I wasn't entirely sure. I showed him a photo that I had so that he could help me. Im new to the whole nail lingo so I wasn't sure exactly what to ask for. I had previously been to a different salon, which was ok but hadn't done exactly what I had wanted so I figured I would try this place because of the reviews. I wasn't disappointed! They have different drinks, but I can't comment on that as I only wanted a water. My technician was I believe named Lisa. She did a wonderful job. I wanted ombre nails which she did using the dip. The last salon used acrylics. She said that the last people didn't know what they were doing since it's hard to achieve ombre using acrylics. Which I wouldn't have known since I've only ever had my nails done about five times in my 31 years of life. With these ombre nails they are a little bit sparkly in both the pink and white, which is really pretty. I had my ring fingers done with a gold sparkle which is very vibrant. I only can have my nails done in the summer since I work in a kitchen during the school year, so it's nice to be pretty when I can. So if you're like me and don't know much about nails but want them to look pretty, I very much recommend this place! Even if you are pro at nail lingo and such I think this would still hold up as a great place to go! read more

3 times I walk in and I am told 5 minutes wait time. Instead I waited 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and 20 minutes. Today I had the common sense to not give my money to a business that clearly does not respect someone's precious time. No apology. No customer service and I had to ask for a towel to dry my feet so I could leave. Now I tend to tip well ($20 to $30) but I will never come back here again. Advise to whoever owns this crappy place - maybe if you didn't have two people on each customer - you would have the staff to take care of new customers that come in to get service. I've been a couple of times since my last review for this place and just wanted to update a bit. I still enjoy it and the pedicures are always amazing! but the last 2 times I have gotten my nails done, it has not been that spectacular. Both of these times I was given one of the male nail techs. Time before last I got nexgen with tips and they were super uneven and didn't look very good. Just got a set of acrylics with gel polish today and again, they are uneven and the shape of some of them is pretty bad. This place is too expensive for me to keep getting uneven and Crooked nails! If I could just rate Lisa, I'd give her 5 stars. I will be calling to make appointments for her specifically from now on. read more

Hoping I found THE place! Walked in on Saturday at 9am, praying for the end of my "experimenting" for a good nail tech. I think this is it! V did an amazing job on my nails. I have been wearing acrylics for years...and she asked if I wanted to try "Dip" nails. I thought sure why not. After all. the last 4 attempts of different salons here in Denton with acrylics all ended with me unhappy with thick, lumpy, bumpy rough nails. I have to say, my nails are perfect. For amazing nails, ask for Sue. She was gentle and engaging. Ashley did my pedi and the massage oil and rocks was fantastic. Grand New opening Salon in Denton. Nice atmosphere as well as customer service. They really care for you once you step in there. Impressive massage pedicure and perfect nail technician. Took about 3 hours for friend and I to get a mani and pedi without any obvious reason and sitting and waiting on a pedicure chair. They wanted to charge $10 to put a tip on each big toe. The person that did my manicure use the little bit of lotion left from my feet and rubbed it on my arms!!!! Then fixed my natural nail with glue.... Don't go here. The service was absolutely terrible. The lady didn't even greet me when I set down, she just snatched my hand. I just wanted to get my previous dip nails removed and she left glue ALL OVER MY HANDS. She didn't even bother to cut them all even or file them. She said maybe 2 words the whole time. Guess I'll go home and do that myself. Waste of $$$. Thankful I didn't get a whole mani or pedi here. That would've been an even bigger waste of money. The front desk was very nice, as well as the tech who did my nails. But the tech was very rough and filed my skin so hard they were bleeding in at least 3 spots, as well as going too hard with the dremel and hurt my actual nails on every finger. Once the extensions were glued on, she was filing them so roughly it felt like she was trying to pull the off. At some point during the dip process, there's alcohol. Right on top of all my new wounds. Every finger burned. I've never had such a violent experience at a salon before. The tech and I agreed on a shape/length but when she was done they were far to the side and just very poorly shaped (lots of straight edges instead of curves). I didn't say much at the time because I was uncomfortable and I'd already asked her to reshape/size them down a few times. The salon is gorgeous and they offer drinks, but it seemed like the tech cared more about getting them done fast rather than quality. read more

Rushed, subpar, and unprofessional work. I just got a gel manicure and my eyebrows waxed. The gel is extremely thick and the sides of several of my nails are messy. There was zero attention paid to detail unfortunately. Eyebrow wax went fine and they look decent, however there's still left over wax on the sides of my face near my eyes. While my nail tech was waiting for my polish to soak off, her and another guy were standing up literally infront of me, backs and butts turned to my face, clipping their nails! Like I said, just poor service overall, especially compared to the countless salons in Rayzor Ranch. I'm the kind of person who will tip even if the service wasn't great, but this time I just couldn't let myself do it. That's how unhappy I am. I will not be returning. read more

Lisa is as good as it gets! This salon is new, clean, beautiful. The service is great. I'm a regular and am often greeted with hugs and by name! I know I'm not JUST a customer here, I'm truly valued. I recommend this salon and Lisa in particular to everyone. I get the dip powder and I've had a couple nails break while trying to open a Tupperware lid or after catching my nail on a closing cabinet door, but free nail repairs make it all better. :) Every now and again the salon will run specials, or bundle manis and pedis in packages. (they had a 20% off special when they opened, and they were running a special for morning weekday appointments) Even without price breaks, the pricing is comparable to any other salon worth its salt. read more

My worst nail experience by far. The first woman working on my nails was rude, rough and aggressive. She was doing my nails in such a hurry that she cut me 5 times!!! The shape was horrible and they were bumpy. The second woman to do my nails took an hour and half just trying to fix the mess the previous woman had done to my nails. Nail lady was rude af. No "hello, how are you?" No "thank you goodbye". All she did was ignore me, snatch my hands, and be rough. Her name was Vivian or something like that.
