Y'all.. the 290 construction has hindered their shop, but please support Nail Bar!! This is a great spot!! This is my new go to. I only get pedi's and feel they have the best service. The Color choices are a little limited, totally sufficient, and you can bring your own polish. I get the classic pedi $35 - toesies come out looking and feeling great! I also get a drink (alcoholic and non) each time I go. The staff is so kind and attentive, I hope they get tons of business.

Amazing Nail salon! Everyone is extremely friendly! The service is great. There are so many colors to choose from! I highly recommend Veronica for a dip powder. She is super meticulous and pays attention to detail. I will definitely come back! I did a pedicure with Andy, who did a great job. Super relaxing experience.

Ugh I was so hopeful about this place. I gave it three tries but after this last time I don't plan to come back. For one thing, the woman who has done my pedicure twice now did a wonderful job and was so sweet. She is why I kept trying. But I've had two horrible manicures now. One I did just a manicure with no color and my cuticles were super dry and messy, and the shape of my nails was awful. They looked horrible within a day. This last time, the man who did them first used a drill on my natural nails to clean my cuticles instead of just a trimmer. He used it without asking and before I realized what he was doing. This totally damages your nail and is super unnecessary as I had nothing on my nails. So already bothered but tried to let that to. The shape also turned out horrible--I asked for round/oval and the shape is uneven between nails as well as pointy on some. They look awful. But then he cut my cuticle badly--like deep and bleeding a lot. He immediately put some blue liquid on it and then put nail glue on it! Not only is that just like ?!?! But it seems super unsanitary too as he touched the glue to my bloody cuticle and it got blood on it. And the cuticle looks horrible. Not only that but the shape is terrible too. And then polish looks thick and not very neat. And it's gel, so I'm stuck with it. When I went to pay and who I am assuming is an owner or manager asked how it was, I told him he cut my cuticle and showed him. All he said was sorry and put some cuticle oil on my nails? And then I still paid $100 for a horrible manicure. Overall super upset and bummed.

Simple but great job, gotta have a little sparkle!

Had the best experience at The Nail Bar! Kim is an incredible nail tech--her nail art skills are unmatched and she makes the time fly with great conversation. Jason at the front is the perfect host, always welcoming, offering drinks, and making sure you're comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommend!

This was $110. Just wanted to post for the next girlie who wants a little design. Just do basic color. You'll thank me later.

All I can say is EXQUISITE AND ELEGANTLY CLASSY! This nail shop is such a gem! I called for a same day appointment and they were easily able to accommodate me, salon was clean, sleek color scheme and comfortable. All of the nail techs were friendly and attentive I was seated immediately for my full set and offered complimentary drinks (I had a fun Christmas mimosa w/cranberries) I loved how my nail tech did not pry with a-lot of questions and I was just able to be with my thoughts after a very hard day. This is probably the best service I've had at a nail shop. My nails were shaped just how I instructed and the tools they used were clean/sanitized. This is my new nail shop home. I will definitely be returning! Perfect service that gives you a nice escape after work. Bonus points for the Amazing Christmas playlist and friendly service!

Favorite nail place in Austin!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great service and drinks Recommendation to anyone and everyone. Shoutout to Veronica and Jason

Love their CUSTOMER SERVICE! Jason and his crew go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I'm always happy with my nails. MINDY did an excellent job. Shape is perfect for the short dip nails I wanted.

Beautiful work done by talented and passionate professionals the salon was welcoming with friendly staff and the atmosphere felt very classy and clean. I came to visit Austin from Houston with friends, a couple of us decided to stop at Nail Bar while staying nearby, and we're so grateful we came to the perfect place to get our manis and pedis done!

I just had a very very poor experience. I've never had to leave a pedicure unfinished. I could not bear to continue to watch a mediocre job being done on my nails. It boils down to inexperience. It was worth it to pay $35 rather than to sit there practically in tears. One hour of hell. I'll never be back. read more

Jason and his team are wonderful. I tend to want special nail designs and like bling. All I have to do is show Jason and his team a picture and they are able to do it and I am picky but never had an issue. I get so many compliments on my nails. Definitely a treat every 2 weeks when I go in for my nails, pedicure and waxing and to top it off I get to try his cocktail of the week. Clean, professional and quality service. I just had a wonderful experience at Nail Bar! Kim is a perfectionist at SNS, and did a wonderful job on my nails! Lee gave me a fantastic pedicure and got rid of my calluses. The atmosphere at Nail Bar is really nice and it has good vibes all around. The wine and mimosas were also a big hit I definitely recommend Nail Bar! Nail Bar is also conveniently located right across the street from the 'new' H‑E‑B off 1826 and 290, so take an extra long trip to the grocery store and stop and get yourself a mani/pedi, you deserve it! read more

This was my first time at this salon. The staff was friendly, and informative, also the salon was very clean. I had a toe nail that partially chip off and didn't know if they could do a pedicure that would look even. They added a bit of acrylic to the nail and it looks perfect! I also did a full set and manicure. My technician named was Austin she did an amazing job. She was very detailed with the shaping and design of my nails. I highly recommend her and will be coming back again. read more

I got talked into sns set (which I've done before at a different place and loved) and after 2 weeks later the whole right side popped off like press on nails. The person that I thought was doing my nails was nice. The person he passed me off to was sweet but seemed unsure what she was doing. I wanted to cry while she was doing my nails but didn't want to feel embarrassed. I asked them to redo my left hand because there was no was they could get them to match. I left with uneven nails, the side they fixed all the nails were thicker than the right hand. I was there over 2 hours. read more

I had an AMAZING time this morning at the Nail Bar. I got a classic pedicure and acrylic nails with gel polish. Veronica was my tech and she had great attention to detail and overall did a wonderful job. It's a super clean environment, good music and great vibes. I just got married, my wedding nails(which I got elsewhere) started to chip and fall off. I was sad to get them redone and a bit hesitant, but I'm on here to say these are even better than what I had!!! It was just an acrylic fill but Andy took his time and used his pure talent to give me exactly what I asked for. The shape and feel of them are perfect and they had the color I love and even created a little snowflake design for the season exactly as I wanted! He made sure each nail was perfect and didn't rush. I had good conversation with other clients, the Christmas radio was playing and it's so cute in the salon they have drinks and even cookies! it was a great experience I would recommend to anyone. I'll be back soon :) read more

Avoid. Tl/dr poor service, sub par pedi, cut my nail bed open. Brought my child in with me for a pedi. Desk manager was nice, nail techs were rushed and rude. They didn't have any polish brands that I was familiar with and the bottle I picked was in desperate need of thinning. Instead the tech just globbed it on so messily, the manager asked her to clean up my polish before I did. Pedicure was sub par for price and there was the typical on the job banter and laughing across the room between techs. Asked they provide a design for my kid three times, they just ignored us. Worst part was the rough push back of my cuticles- painful and caused a bruise under my toenail. Then the tech nipped my skin under my cuticle. I started bleeding and she threw a towel over my feet and walked away. Had to wear sneakers to a work event because it hurt so badly. Luckily it didn't get infected. read more

When I tell everyone that I have been getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks for over ten years I am not lying! I very nicely came in after Jason did my nails yesterday asking if he could make them a little thinner and fix the bumpy-ness. He refused. Flat out said NO. He said dip nails could not be thinner than this or I would come in and complain because they broke?? Weird comment and from pics of nails done here I see they are way thinner. Also, please look at thumb and index finger- so bumpy and crooked. I very politely told him I have gotten dip nails for a long time and he then again refused to fix- talk about gross customer service! Honestly shocked and disappointed, for $60 after a tip I should be pleased with my nails. I am a person who care about what my nails look like. He was VERY nice yesterday when doing my nails and I was really hoping he would at least try to give me what I am paying for and the quality I was expecting. Sad because it's so close to my home but will not be returning for poor quality and even worse customer service. I even brought a friend here and hers were done WAY thinner and smoother than mine. Just really dissatisfied at the outcome and really didn't want to post a review but had to because of his refusal and rudeness to fix. If anyone knows of a great nail salon in Austin... please let me know!!! read more

The manicure was really terrible. My nail tech tried three times to use a drill on my nails despite my request multiple times not to use a drill. They didn't clean underneath my fingernails and the outcome of the paint job was severely flawed - you could see the demarcation from one coat to the next, and the border was placed very far away from my cuticle and not straight. I had to remove the polish once I got home. The pedicure was performed by another nail tech and it was satisfactory. read more

She decided on a deep cleanse, but did all sorts of stuff. We spoke briefly about my skin care routine and other than answer any questions I had (she was very patient, I had many, and was pretty nosy about the whole expereince), it was very relaxing. Whatever she did with paprika felt amazing, and I liked the mud mask and the facial massage. Ok, so I liked it all! I'd asked about a specific product and she introduced me to it at the end fo the session. It wasn't sale-sy at all (in fact, i'm wondering if or how she sells any product if the customer doesn't take the initative) and I got a great under eye product from Colorscience. Definitely a brand I'll look into since she gave me a sample of the Primer to try - which I did this morning - and love it! So my skin looks and feels fabulous. My pores are invisible and my face is seriously soft! This is definitely something I am going to have to save up for and do again!

I'm from Dallas and recently visited Nail Bar in Austin and was thoroughly impressed by their service. Jason and the staffs were welcoming and attentive, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The salon was clean, well-maintained, and had a wide range of high-quality nail polish brands. Jason is meticulous and skilled, he was ensuring my nails looked perfect. The entire experience was a delightful pampering session, and I left feeling refreshed and pleased with the stunning results. I highly recommend Nail Bar to anyone looking for a top-notch nail salon experience in Austin. read more

JUST SO PERFECT. This was my first time getting gel nails and extensions, so I was a little nervous, but Andy did an amazing job! She checked in with me several times during the process to make sure everything was okay, and I didn't have to compromise on anything. I'm so grateful because the final result was exactly what I wanted! The owner and the other staff members were also all very friendly, and I felt right at home! Since this treatment was for my last prom, I'm truly grateful! I'm so glad I chose this salon! read more

I had a terrible experience at a nail salon before coming to Nail Bar. I had just moved to the Oak Hill area and the prior salon truly ruined my nails. I came here and they immediately wanted to help get my nails healthier. I've had quite a few different people since going but they've all just be great. The service is also top notch, always asking if I want anything to drink, making sure I'm being taken care of. And the location is so convenient. read more

Love this nail salon! It's my only trusted salon in Austin. Everyone is so kind and accommodating, and always willing to find an appt that works for me. Excellent service all around. I do dip/SNS - anytime I've gone somewhere else they chip/break off, etc., but not here. Mindy is my go to, and anytime she's off or on vacation I am equally happy with the service. The first time I came it took them 40 minutes into my manicure to have someone help me with a pedicure, mind you there were 4 employees sitting on chairs on their phone, bizarre. When i asked for the 3rd time when my pedicure would start, the lady says "Oh you want them at the same time?" No... I want to be here for hours and waste my time. Lol. The guy who did my pedicure barely cut my cuticles and gave me a sloppy pedicure. The lady who did my 'hard gel' manicure gave me the most thin layer of gel that one of my nails broke a day later. Mind you, I haven't had a nail break in YEARS. I decided to come back a 2nd time. I asked for white on my toes. I had to ask for it to be redone 3 different times because the lady who painted it made it look like a blob of paint with two very obvious layers. It took 3 different employees to do a clean job and it is still not great. They kept telling me 'gel looks better' although I did not want or ask for gel, just regular paint. You should be able to paint white nails, that's your job. I had the lady put a fake nail on my broken nail, the way she filed it, it's now crooked and it points inward. I definitely will not be returning.

The bleeding was severe enough that the service had to stop while they applied a liquid solution to the wound and used multiple cotton balls to try to stop the bleeding. The photos attached were taken after the bleeding was finally under control. What was even more upsetting was how the manager handled the situation afterward. The manager was very rude!!! I was offered only $5 off my service and still paid for a manicure where I left with an open wound on my finger! I understand that accidents can happen, but customer safety, proper sanitation, and professional customer service should be a top priority at any nail salon. A reputable business should take responsibility and show compassion when a customer is injured. DO NOT GO HERE. I will never return to this salon and would strongly encourage anyone considering to take their business elsewhere!!!!

Nancy was assigned to do my nails and did not speak one word of English. The only reason I bring this up is because typically, when you need to get your nails removed, they soak your fingernails for a few minutes to loosen the bond, then clip them off of your natural nails piece by piece. Well, an hour and a half later, they finally removed. It was not communicated to me clearly that they did a different process to preserve the nail by slowly filing it down then soaking your nails, then slowly filing it down then soaking your hands times 11! Literally, it took over an hour and a half to get them removed. Nancy was rough with my fingers. She had sharp nails and dug them into my fingers while she was rolling them from side to side to work on my nails. It was painful and I tried to explain to her not to grip my fingers so tightly. She also cut my one of my cuticles. I know I have thin cuticles - I tried to explain that to her but she didn't understand. The manager should have stepped in and explained the process better and communicated to Nancy my complaints. They had me soak my nails for over 25 minutes with foil wraps before switching me out to have John be my new nail technician. John was wonderful. We were able to have a nice conversation and he did a great job. However, I did have an appointment I needed to go to and I was late to it because when I walked into the salon at 12:30, I had no idea it wouldn't be until 2:00 pm before that process was done.
