nail came clean off, I was putting my hair in a bun...

Last week was my first time at Nail Art Bar. I got dip powder on my nails and a regular pedicure. Just for context, I went on 8/13 and on 8/18 my thumb nail peeled completely off. Today I noticed the polish on my toes is starting to crack and the rest of the dip powder on my nails is starting to lift. Bye to $80!

Lucy and Nancy were amazing! I had a spa like experience while I was here. From the massages, to the manicure and pedicure (they place a warm towel under your bottom), to the atmosphere, and cleanliness, this was one of the best experiences I've had at a nail salon at such a reasonable price! I will definitely be coming back!

Marble gel nail manicure

Nail art bar has the best selections of gel colors and colors In the entire area. Staff is super nice and covid protocols in place! I just had marble nails done and they look amazing!

This place is great! I got an awesome, attentive set of nails that came out just how I wanted. My tastes can be a little wacky so I've had trouble actually getting what ive wanted at different salons in the past, but this place listened to me! With my acrylic set also came a paraffin soak and short massage, and a glass of wine. Everyone is nice. I'll be back!

I came here in need of a nail repair and paint change. The service came with repair, fill in, paraffin wax, hot towel, and lotion. The ladies were nice and inviting and the salon was very clean and tidy. Behind the counter is a decent amount of regular, gel, and dip polish. The service was attentive and care was used while removing my previous paint and preparing and repairing for my current service. There were ample nail stations, pedicure chairs, and drying stations. Aside from offering nail services, they provide waxing and semi permanent makeup. I'll be back for another service next time I'm in the area. Prices are very reasonable.

Lucy, the owner, was so friendly and attentive to detail! She took her time and didn't make me feel rushed. I'm very picky with my nails and was struggling to find a salon nearby that I was satisfied with, and I will definitely return to Nail Art Bar!

Lucy the owner was very friendly, did an amazing job providing me gel manicure and got rid of dead skin too.. I also loved the complimentary drinks :) i also got a great hand massage that was top notch! I will definitely be back!

Loved this glitter! Never seen this daisy opi gel before. Lucy the owner used a stick to place the flowers- very detailed- love it.

Tonight i went to nail art bar an hour to their closing time and i was greeted SO warmly by all the staff the second i walked in. My nails were in an embarrassing shape. The owner really listened to me and made sure i wasn't in pain (because i filled my own nail down too much myself) and that i picked a polish that properly covered said mistake. Not only did they take such good care of my nails- i did not feel rushed, was treated to a complimentary massage while my gel cured and a Paraffin wax hand treatment. Lucy the owner is so sweeet and talented Along with the staff i look forward to going back.

Lucy is great!! She's able to take your reference photos and recreate them and has a bunch of really cute original designs to choose from. Nail Art Bar has great ambiance from music to wine to conversation! I highly recommend, the price is reasonable and while some gel manicures I've had can peel, when I've gotten my nails done here they've have been long lasting and durable. Although Lucy is quick, I make sure I'm never in a rush and during the weekday (before the post-work 5pm rush) is the most relaxed.

broken & peeling nails after 2 days

I hate leaving bad reviews & I really wanted to love this place but this has to be the worst nail experience i've ever had. I went in on a Monday to get a gel fill and a pedicure. As of waking up on Tuesday my pedicure had already chipped, but oh well no big deal. On Wednesday one of my nails started peeling and popping off. Upon examination I noticed almost every one of my new nails was popping off. I woke up this morning (Thursday) to one broken nail and 6 nails peeling so bad they need to be removed. I called the salon asking for a refund as I do not want to return to get my nails "fixed" by a place that screwed up this bad the first time. The lady on the phone who I assume is the owner refused to give me any money back as "it's a business and no businesses give money back." Which isn't a true statement. I ended up hanging up feeling distraught over the whole thing because now I'm out $115 (so expensive for a gel fill & regular pedicure, no?) and have to spend more money at another salon to get it fixed. I read reviews before coming here and just ignored the bad ones because they were older and so few and far between but I should have listened. Horrible customer service and the skills here are lacking as well. I will not be returning.

I went in saying i wanted french. I told the lady that I wanted acrylic and she told me the dip was "prettier" (probably because it's more expensive). The worst dip French I've ever received and I was also there for over 2 hours. I also have a cut on most fingers from filing so hard.

Lifting after two days

This is one of the newer nail salons in the area. It's bright and clean and the prices aren't too bad. They always include shoulder massages and skin softening wax during mani/pedis. The pedicures are okay and I've gotten the best and longest lasting gel manicures here. Though I wish they would expand their gel polish selection. If what you want is an acrylic manicure, then this isn't the salon for you. Only one person does acrylics here and although she is always very nice and conversational, her technique isn't the best. She used a file board more than the e-file which resulted in a thick and lumpy finish. Two days later all the edges of the acrylic were lifting and less than two weeks later a few nails have just "popped" off.

Yesterday I made an appointment for a manicure (I have acrylic on my hands) and a regular pedicure. On the phone the gentleman who answers doesn't speak English very well and apparently did not hear me request services of a manicure although I have been there multiple times and always book a manicure and a pedicure. I sit down and a woman begins working on my nails which I found strange because they always start with my feet- when inquired about it. The gentleman that answers the phone said I never requested a pedicure just a manicure- I told him he must not have heard me because if he checks my file I always get a manicure and a pedicure- he insisted I never requested it- after I ran through the whole conversation. I asked could I be accommodated for a pedicure as I did originally request that and it's my birthday- he said no- and told me I can leave and didn't have to pay- but I showed him my nails weren't done and no one would go out with there nails like this- I reiterated that I didn't mind waiting for a pedicure and he said no again. I want to reiterate that I have been coming to this establishment for years... and I have seen them make accommodations for others- however those others seemed to be well off and white. I am a black woman who lives in the area- I walk there. I know I don't always look like a woman with means- but I have done ok for myself- and didn't deserve this treatment. I am sure if I had a different skin color I would have received a different level of customer service or even an apology. Even after I acknowledged this misunderstanding there was no apology just a shoulder shrug. This was very disappointing and I will never go back there again.

I have been trying different nail techs so I can find one I love and can stick with and I tried a tech I've never had before. When she first started, she immediately grabbed the clippers and I told her I don't want my cuticles or my nails cut, just pushed back and filed. I was on the phone (which is my own fault), when she was responding and saying she wanted to even them out. I told her I just wanted them filed and I don't mind if they're not the same length. They're close enough. She still was saying they should be cut and was saying "what about these? Just a little to even out and then file?"And pointing to my different fingers, to which I just ultimately said "okay whatever you say I guess, I trust you". Which was entirely my mistake. I should have stood my ground but I didn't want to be difficult or make a scene. She cut all of my nails SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than I was expecting to "even them out". For reference, I have been working on growing my nails out for the past 8 weeks so I could have long nails for Thanksgiving and decided last minute to treat myself to a manicure because to try to avoid biting my nails due to stress. It only got worse. After she had already cut them, much lower than I was okay with, she then filed them into square after I told her to keep the natural shape and that I didn't want them to be shaped in square or round. I just wanted her to follow the natural line of my nails and even out the length. Even then, she made them square and when I asked her to round just the edges because they were way too square and sharp and she made every nail round. She filed so much and so low that my nails are now nubs almost as short as when I bite them. Despite trying not to, I immediately started crying because I could feel the physical discomfort of my nails being shorter than my fingertips for the first time in a long time and she continued on. I don't like to cause scenes, and there was nothing that could be done at that point so it would be pointless to complain so I sat there silently as she continued the manicure. I am so heartbroken, I've been upset ever since I left the nail salon today. Unfortunately nothing can be done and while she did a good job on the actual painting of the nails, she took away months of effort I have made to finally grow my nails out, after I told her what I wanted. While I realize I should have stood my ground, she should have respected what I was asking of her. I also will commend her for fixing one of my nails swiftly and with kindness. However, this experience upset me to the point where I am considering not returning to this salon. I have had my nails done and disliked them before (happens to everyone, nbd) but if someone has long nails and they're telling you not cut them, why are you continuing to push to cut them shorter and then filing so short that there's pain and discomfort? I hope this experience never happens to anyone else who is working as hard as I was to break that habit.
