Sunday, 6/27/21, my friend and I walked in around 4:10pm for pedicures and before the door even closed behind us an older woman said "so sorry no time". I was completely confused so, as I saw a another employee walking by~ no hello, no how can we help you, nothing by the way~ I asked, after saying hello, if we would be able to get...I was cut off as the woman spoke "so sorry, you don't have an appointment do you, no time we have no time". Apparently and unfortunately we walked in the wrong color. I said exactly that and we left. There was no signage stating appointment only, they Weren't packed, just 3, maybe 4 people in there...I couldn't help but want to feel I was wrong, but I know good old prejudice and racism when I feel it, so I called in and asked if there were any appointments for pedicure? Guess what the response was??? "Yes, 4:45pm or 5:00pm, if you want pedicure, what time you want?" So I asked "I just walked in and no one offered an appointment or a time to come back, why? This shouldn't be a thing but it is. Needless to say, I cannot and will not it support this company, their brand and their poor practices. I am doubtful that my tiny review will make a difference but this was my unfortunate experience, hopefully it will save someone else from experiencing something similar or maybe make at least one reader rethink where and how they choose to spend their money. I come here because its closest to my house but I just can't anymore. They are SO rude. The employees always yell at eachother and they make you wait when you have an appointment and they clearly did not have time for you. Today, I called and asked if they had time for a gel soak-off and a regular manicure. I talked very slow and she goes "EXCUSE ME?" I nicely repeated myself. She reponds "No" and I waited for her to ask if i could come at a different time, nothing. She hung up on me. I don't know why there are such bad reviews. I love this nail salon! Song and Christina are very friendly! As with any nail salon, if it's busy they will greet the customers and quote a wait if applicable. They do gel manicures well and they take care when doing pedicures. It's not your standard pedicure, they use hot stones and paraffin treatment for your heels built in the price. read more

Made a 12:15 appt. Arrived 12:15. They looked as though they had forgotten and told me it would be five minutes. I came back in five minutes and then proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. At 12:30 I asked when my appointment would be - as they told me five minutes, 15 minutes ago. Replied '5 more minutes'. It just was not believable - and instead of being honest, and telling me they forgot, it will be 20-30 minutes- they just kept saying five minutes to keep me from leaving . I walked out at 12:35 and said 'no thanks'. Went down the road to Sofia nail and spa and they did an excellent job. read more

What a consistently amazing experience. I love my time at Coco Blue for many reasons. The spa is so clean and peaceful, the hustle and bustle that I now associate with nail salons is simply not seen here - such a relief. I feel like I can get at true spa experience, including champagne and calming music at Coco Blue. The service its self is fabulous, no details are overlooked. The pedicure includes and hand massage, hot stone massage AND paraffin treatment. There is a great selection of colors, and the technicians have great intuition about what their clients need. I am not one who gets my nails done often but everyone has been telling me to try the dip powder manicure because it lasts 3-4 weeks and it doesn't chip. I was meeting with a friend at the starbucks next door and decided to go in and see if i can get a manicure. The women seemed nice and was telling me about the dip powder. In the end, my nails looked great. 10 days later, the nail polish on my pointer finger popped off. I went back to the nail salon after work to see if someone can fix it. The women was very rude and had me wait 40-50 minutes. One of the other employees sat me down and after telling me that the color I told her, wasnt the right color, began dipping my finger in a completly different color. Then the original women who had me wait, came over to tell me that that wasnt the color. Eventually they listened to me and used the color I had originally said. they fixed my nail and it looked horrible. They painted my whole finger with clear polish and missed a good amount of my nail with the colored polish. The next day, 4 other fingers lose their polish and all my other nails are pealing up. I called and they told me to come in that afternoon. I came in and the women who fixed my nail the day before was extremely rude again. she then eventually sat me down and pealed all of the remaining nailpolish off (which shouldnt have happened, she should have used nail polish remover because it hurt really bad). Then the other women came up to me and looked at my nails and basically accused me of lying. She didnt believe that I came into the salon a week and a half ago. She thought I went somewhere else. After explaining, yet again, that I was indeed in a week and a half ago, she agreed to do my nails again for half price. I was so annoyed at this point that I said fine. she was literally treating me like a teenager (which I found out she thought I was, until I told her I was a teacher). I am 28 and I do look young for my age but that is no excuse to be rude to me. Then after my nails were finished, she said its going to be $30. That's more than half but whatever. I didnt bring my wallet inside because I thought out of a curtisy they would fix them for free because I originally paid $45 the first time I got them done. So I told the women, I just had to run to my car (which you can see from the window) to grab money, and she said leave you phone so I know you will come back. I would never ever do that even if they were extremely rude. I will never go back to this place ever again. read more

So I gave this salon 3 chances before writing this review, in hopes it would get better. Song and Helen are rude and unnecessarily curt. Cristina is a good nail technician and renders good service. Song's polish job is decent but her personality leaves much to be desired. Cristina did my pedi the first time and I was pleased. I came back because of it. However, Song and Helen are reason enough to not return. When it comes to making an appointment, good luck once you show up. This salon is 8 minutes from my home, I willingly go out of my way and avoid this salon because of these two women. Understanding how imperative customer service is, managing and operating a small waxing business, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, but rudeness is unacceptable when patronizing one salon, when there are many others, made it a no brainer to cut ties here. My last appointment was so disappointing, I left giving no tip and I am one who tips generously for service, as I am in the cosmetology business. read more

I went here one time on the recommendation of a coworker. They seemed to have many regulars that were there when I was and I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there because I wasn't a "regular". It took two hours to do dip powder and they fell off within 6 days!!!!! It's also WAY overpriced. I really wanted to like this place. I went there 3 separate times hoping the last experience was just an off-day for them. All three times, my nail polish chipped within less than 1 day of the manicure being done. Normally my nails don't chip for at least 4-5 days. I had made an appointment for me and my sister, we showed up 5 minutes early and they had us wait at least 20 minutes after our scheduled appointments. I watched them take a walk in for a pedicure while making us wait, so it's clear this place does not honor appointment times. The worst part was that since our appointment was 1 hour before they closed, they rushed through the manicure and then rudely CLAPPED at us while we were drying our nails saying "okay time for you to go". So we were rushed out before our nails were even dry which was extremely rude. They didn't even offer my sister a massage even though I got one. All in all, this was a terrible experience and I will not be returning to get my nails done at Coco Blue again. Spare yourselves and go somewhere else! read more

I had high expectations but unfortunately they were not met. I am a regular customer at the Coco Blue location in Ardmore and was hoping they'd operate the same - disappointingly they are totally different. I was not pleased that plastic coverings for the pedicure bowls were not used which made me paranoid. It skeeves me out that nail salons in 2019 still don't take the necessary precautions to protect customers from bacteria. Next, the girl knicked one of my cuticles pretty deep and did not acknowledge it until I mentioned and requested alcohol.It was also upsetting to know they charge additionally for certain non-gel colors. Ardmore charges the same across the board for regular polishes even it you're getting OPI Shine. Lastly, by 9 pm that night my thumb on both hands were completely chipped not to mention three days later I have to remove the polish on each finger because they look weeks old. This place isn't the absolute worst however I'd only recommend if you voluntarily want to throw away your money. read more
