Absolutely the best pedicure I've ever had! Regular pedicure, not even the spa pedicure, lasted nearly an hour! Hot stone treatment and great exfoliation. So thorough and relaxing, with gorgeous results. Manicure was great, too. Even got a glass of water (could've had tea if I wanted). Brief shoulder rub while my nails were drying. All for only $40! Only complaint would be that my manicurist spoke very little English, especially as compared to the others in the salon. This is not the place to go if you are in a rush. read more

I can't say I've ever been so unhappy with a salon experience that I write about it. But this one has me so unhappy that I'm writing this review from the chair. I came here out of convenience. I was in a pinch and figured I'd come in during my lunch break. There was no wait but it also seems that only one tech is working. I sat here with my toes pruning for 20 minutes before the man who greeted me started to begin the pedicure process. No shaping, no trimming, a lousy cuticle job, no lotion...he then says "I'll be back." It's been 15 more minutes and he's been chatting with other customers and standing around. I've been here for 50 minutes and still have zero polish on my toes and my feet are so pruned, I refuse to put them back in the water. I'm on my third round of chair massage, which is beyond uncomfortable, may I add. ...a different nail tech has finally cut and filed my nails, the works....over an hour later. After 1hr25min, my toes are finally polished for what has been the worst pedicure I've ever had, and now I have to dry them for another 10-15. This place is terrible. Do not come here. read more

Avoid unless you want unsolicited diet advice and chipped nails. Went here for the first time yesterday. I had lovely manicure tech. All was fine until I sat down at the drying station and the man (who I assume is the owner) came over to give me the included shoulder massage. How could this be bad, you may think. Well, he then proceeded to talk to me about tea, diet, how he used to be 200lbs, different ways to diet (came off strongly as suggestions that I should try), and asked if I had a good doctor (emphasizing how my "health" was important). I sat there in silence and he seemed to eventually get the hint and walk away. Not only should these things never be said to other humans, but CERTAINLY NOT PAYING CUSTOMERS. To top it off, my nails were completely chipped within 24 hours (even with regular polish a mani should last at least a few days). Unfortunately I wasted my money here. It was like the nail tech had never done a dip manicure before, and she cut me multiple times. I walked out feeling horrible because my nails looked so bad, and I just decided to never go there again. But one of nails popped clean off today (manicure was two days ago), so that really set me over the edge. My nails look horrendous, and I am so sad that I gave them my money. Super expensive and super incompetent. 6 hours spent and this was the result: Uneven, poorly applied, and genuinely ugly nails that were poorly done at every level, including the actual polishing. The nail technician had no idea what she was doing at all. Dip powder with tips extensions was $74.00 Gel pedicure: $46 (also very mediocre but passable). A man who worked at the front desk kept telling us, after 5 hours, "good work takes time." He was only half right. Apparently really bad work takes a lot of time and money. Never go to this place. The nails were glued on poorly and started to come off completely three days later. They are all off now, less than a week later. We tipped the technician based on COVID pandemic concerns, but they should never have charged us for this abomination. read more

Seriously the kindest people! My friend persuaded me into getting the dip nails, and they really do hold up! They take a long time to do, but are honestly worth it. $40, which isn't that bad! I also got a pedicure, which I switched to a polish change since I was short on time. They made them match my nails as best they could! I will happily return here again and again. read more

I was told that I would have to wait an hour----very disappointing and proof that walk-ins mean more to the chattering manager than their base of loyal patrons. Choruses of "we are sorry", and please have a drink of tea, yet I left and told them that I will not be back, not in an hour or at all. Best pedicures I've ever had! Friendly staff who greet everyone who walks in. They always offer me ginger honey tea. Lots of regular and gel colors. Their pedis are amazing, and I'll continue to go there for that reason. As for the manicures, I have been disappointed several times, particularly with how long they last. My last gel manicure lasted less than a week before chipping, and my dip powder manicure chipped after 5 days! That is not ok. A dip manicure from a different salon lasted me three solid weeks and was better in every way. My most recent dip manicure wasn't strong or thick, and I could see the streaks of top coat even when it was dry. Very disappointing. But definitely try a pedicure! read more

Olive Nail Salon is wonderful! I've been going here for 2 years now, and have recommended it to many friends. Everyone is very friendly, and the service is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, and it's the best pedicure I've ever had. The leg massage and hot stone massage included are a really nice touch. Definitely try the Ginger Tea! It was the worst experience I ever had at a salon. I went in for a pedicure and waxing. The pedicure they kept switching technicians, they dropped tools in the water bath and it hit my foot. They never took care of the cuticles or under the toenails on my right foot only the left they did. They got nail polish on my skin and the nails were shaped crooked. The music they played was heavy-metal. I ended up with a terrible headache and told them about the music and canceled the Waxing. They brought me to the toenail dryer. I made them shut it off because the dust and filth was a mess. The young man that runs it for his family did not shut up for two minutes. So much for that experience. Worst experience at a nail salon ever!! One nail chipped off the next day and a few others within 1 week. When I called, he insinuated that it was my fault and that dip nails don't normally break that easily, but I've never had dip nails snap off EVER. They wouldn't accommodate me to come in and get one nail fixed and said they were too booked. And then I had chipped nails for my graduation pictures. This place is great, honestly. The manicure and pedicure I got were very luxurious for the No-frills atmosphere. My technician was super attentive to her application of the gel on my nails and took her time. In addition, after my nails were getting dried in the UV station my tech massaged my shoulders, something I haven't experienced at other salons. I definitely will be back! read more

Have visited three times recently, twice for mani-pedis and once for a gel manicure. Each time, I received a remarkably thorough treatment. My gel manicures lasted 3-4 weeks ad kept looking fresh. DO NOT GET THE DIP POWDER. Nails are uneven and lumpy. They do not have the proper tools to perform this type of manicure. They used a file to perform this manicure when an electric tool is necessary to ensure that its smooth. The french they told me they can do is totally uneven. I got the dip powder acrylics for $55 and they turned out pretty nicely. However, when the manicurist was filing the sides of my nails he made me bleed on 3 of my fingers and they were stinging really badly for the rest of the day. The inside is clean and the prices are reasonable, but I wouldn't want to come back just because I wouldn't want to go through that pain again. read more

I hate to even write this because I'm not one to complain unless something is BAD. I would give 0 stars if given the chance. I sat for 2 hours getting my dip nails done. Which is excessive. In that amount of time I also had my feet done which took max 15 min... but she was still finishing my nails at the time. While she was doing my nails she kept pulling her mask down and was like right next to my face which made me uncomfortable. I kept noticing things off with my thumb nail. She had put my thumb down in the towel so fuzzies got on it. I told them and she came over and rubbed something white into it. Then put a top coat over it and said it would be dry soon. With dip nails it's supposed to be able to try instantly. They move me over to the dryer for my toes and notice that nail is totally messed up. Bubbles and white stuff all over it. So she put another top coat on it. Each time repeating "5 more minutes". She did that about 5 times and knew something was wrong. I told them I had been sitting a while and needed to leave. They said just don't wash your hands. I was like don't wash my hands? I just sat in a nail salon for two hours with a nail tech who kept pulling down her mask in front of my hand and face. Of course I am going to wash my hands. They all 3 gathered around me and were like "it's okay the nail will be fine". They wanted me gone because they knew they had messed it up. I said I don't want to get home and the color turn to matte red. They said it won't. One lady held my jacket out for me and helped me put it on while the man was holding the door wide open for me. I didn't even tip and I am not one to not tip but they offered 0 resolution for my horrible experience. I got home and my nail had a clump of white stuff and had turned matte red. Also dip power/polish all over my hands. Just like I predicted. I called snd he said come back in. I was like no I'm not wasting more of my time you don't know what your doing! He said we have another nail tech. I said you guys messed up when you didn't have her come help the situation in the 2 hours wasted there. Offered me no resolution. Last night I felt pain as the water hit my leg while taking a shower. I felt it again tonight and noticed that the scrub glove they used on my leg and feet had scraped away my skin and almost given me what feels and looks like rug burn!! It was stinging while she did it and i assumed it was the scrub reacting with my skin. But it felt like needles scraping my skin. And here I have cuts in my skin that are painful. I am a small business owner and know how important reviews are. But this place is really really horrible. I had gone before and had an ok time. Told people I knew about it. And this situation I want to warn others about. Be careful. Clearly they aren't covid cautious and don't know what they are doing or using on their customers to scrub their delicate skin with!! I went to this salon for the first time today to get a pedicure. If you have soft luscious feet, then this is the place to go. If on the other hand, you have some rough spots on your feet, go elsewhere. More time was taken to massage my feet and legs than with the pumice stone. They did a good job on the nails, but I came home and had to deal with the rough spots myself. Also, I gave the girl who did my nails a $7 tip ... she hardly acknowledged it at all. They're only open until 7 but said they'd be happy to take me at 6:30. I asked the girl on the phone if she was sure - I didn't want to keep her after closing. She insisted she didn't mind and that I should still come in, so I did. This. Place. Is. Awesome. My gel manicure was so well done (and only $25 compared to $35 up the street), and the owner who did my manicure was so nice. I LOVE it here!! I've been a regular for about 6 months now. I get a gel manicure every 1 & 1/2 to 2 weeks (depending on how tired of the color I get or if I end up chipping a nail after 10 or so days). The gel manicure lasts longer than any gel I've had, and every employee there does an amazing job! You get a should rub while your nails dry, there's complimentary tea (the ginger is my favorite! I look forward to the tea just as much as to getting my nails done) and there's a parrifan wax hand treatment in the colder months. Best nail salon EVER!! Olive is my nail salon! I won't go anywhere else. Ever. The owner, Jenny, does my manicure and at the same time keeps her eyes on the shop to make sure all of the customers are being pampered. You are always offered ginger tea or water, or whatever else they have on hand. During the cold months, you get a paraffin hand dip. Pedicures always include hot rocks and a heel paraffin treatment. All the women that work there are friendly, and do their best to spoil the customers. Jenny makes sure to update her nail polishes on a regular basis, so there are usually new colors often. I have been to Olive many times before - but not recently. I went whenever I was home (fairly regularly for someone who has left the nest), but hadn't been for a while. I was home for Thanksgiving and decided to go for a mani-pedi. It was SO not good - they were rushed, my pedicure was seriously worse that what I can do to myself, and the polish didn't even last the few days. The manicure was exactly the same way, but I had to go elsewhere to get my polish changed/fixed. She didn't cut my cuticles for either service, the massage lasted about a minute a leg, and I still have rough heels. I mean really. It's a shame because the location is great and it's a cute place. Additional sadness because they used to give you a short back massage while you dried your nails. Another observation is that if they can't take you as a walk-in they should say so - they kept telling people "sure, 5 minutes" and the women would wait and wait and my service just got rushed faster when the walk-ins piled up. read more

I was referred to Olive Nail Salon for a manicure and called Friday afternoon for Saturday appointment. There was an opening at 5:30pm. I wanted my nails to look nice for a fancy brunch on Sunday. Started to dry my nails within 35 minutes and they were trying to get me to leave. One employee sprayed my nails and said "ok your nails are dry". My nails need 20 minutes to dry.Within 5 minutes the girl that sprayed my nails began to put my coat on me and I stood up with my mouth open so surprised that they were pushing me out the door, they actually opened the door for me to leave. Several employees yelled GOODBYE! Two other customers were allowed to finish up. I was startled that they were so rude. Again I wasn't there 45 minutes. I don't usually go to nail salons but I wanted to do something special for my mother on mother's day. We went to the salon together and had a wonderful time. We both got pedicures. They provide amazing foot and calf massages along with a back massage while you wait for your nails to dry. The salon has a pleasant atmosphere, with lots of magazines to read and a big screen TV. The ladies were skilled at their craft and seemed to have quit a few loyal customers whom they know by name. My nails were so pretty and they lasted for three weeks! read more

I've only ever gotten mine waxed once before, so I don't have a huge frame of reference, but I have to say I really loved Olive.
