I went to this nail salon yesterday to get a dip manicure. Coming in the staff was very nice, I made an appointment and was seated right away. They only had one little ring of dip powder colors but then said that you could choose any gel color and they would use the clear dip so it would basically be the same thing. I didn't trust the gel so I selected a color from the actual dip powder ring. During the final stages of my manicure when she was putting the top coat on I realized that the dip powder was really streaky and grainy, the color wasn't the same along the whole nail. The nail attendant said that happens with dip powder but I have gotten several dip manicures before in a variety of colors and never had it look so streaky, especially with a darker color. After the manicure was done the attendant said the manicure was $50. I was in shock because all of the dip manicures I've gotten before were $35 and looked exponentially better than what I paid for but I paid the $50 nonetheless and tipped the attendant. I was not happy with the way my manicure turned out and then not even 24 hours later the top of my nail ripped off on one of my fingers (shown below). The place was clean and the staff were nice but I was not satisfied with the manicure and the price was absolutely ridiculous, not to mention the fact that a dip manicure is supposed to last for a month and a half and mine didn't even last one full day. After working a very long ten day festival, standing on our feet from 8am until 10pm, day after day, my boyfriend and I popped into Millennium for pedicures. I have been here many times over the years, not overjoyed, but not completely disappointed by the services provided. Costs have gone up over the years, but Millennium is so close to my house that I just keep going out of convenience. Upon being seated, in chairs that weren't aligned beside each other (one chair was about two feet forward from the other, and also crookedly placed - for those OCD types this would have stood out like a sore thumb), the technicians approached my boyfriend to tell him that it is an extra $10 for a man to receive a pedicure. This was nowhere on the printed menu, or on the written menu hanging on the wall. He asked what more it includes and she said "nothing" - it was just because "my boss said so". As a female who has received hundreds of pedicures over the years, I was surprised to hear this. Typically there's a mens pedicure listed on the menu, and it includes buffing or clear polish, at the very least. There wasn't a man's pedicure listed on their menu here. When he told them he just wanted the basic pedicure but also to add an extra ten minutes of massage, they told him it would be less expensive for him to receive the Lavender Spa pedicure because it comes with the 15 minutes of massage already, and that it would still be an additional $10 for him on top of that cost, which I believe was $46, plus the obligatory man-charge of $10, making his pedicure $56. This review isn't so much about how my pedicure included painful pushing back of the cuticles, non-sharp clippers that were used to clip back some dry skin on my toes, and instead it just grabbed and pulled, tearing the skin instead of clipping it back, or a mundane gentle rub instead of an actual massage meant to stimulate blood flow. This review is simply to state that it cost $108 for me and my boyfriend to receive pedicures, plus the tips we left for the technicians. Men, be prepared to pay extra. You will receive nothing more, and in actuality will receive less. This is the experience that has caused me to forgo convenience and instead start the hunt for an a nail spa that actually intends to provide care for one's tired feet, man or woman, without charging more simply because a penis is attached to the body. read more

If you are man, (sexism incoming) it is +10 base charge for service, they offer white women the cheapest rates saw three of them get a mani pedi for $165 , meanwhile my girlfriend and I got one a manicure and the other a pedicure at the total price of $155 dollars. They use the same products mind you regardless of the price change. We also waited an hour past our appointment time. My pedicure was done in freezing cold water in which one of the owners dumped sink hot water in to adjust the temperature instead of turning the water up. All in all the experience was disgusting, disappointing and I nor will anyone in my family buy a gift card, return business or step into that establishment. Looks and feels like cheap service money laundering nail salon. Spend your money elsewhere, suggestion would be a place that isn't sexist and respects. DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT COME HERE! I moved from New York so my standards were admittedly high but were no where NEAR met at Millenium. To start, they are listed as close at 7:00 but for them that means walking out the door at 7:00. So, to get any real service completed, that means you have to arrive by 6:00. Don't expect to come here anytime around 6:30 or after and receive service or quality service. Because I arrived at 6:30, they only had time for a regular manicure which is priced at $15. In New York, you can easily get a regular manicure for $6-10. Anything more than that usually has superb or extraordinary services. Millennium did not. In fact, the quality was subpar. As I was drying, I noticed that the polish on one hand was beginning to wrinkle and there were bubbles on my thumb. I couldnt tell my technician because SHE LEFT (before 7:00pm mind you.) I was only there with what seemed to be a receptionist. So I pointed out to the receptionist that my polish was wrinkling and she replied (only after denying the obvious)"I think it's okay." I told her, "it's NOT okay. This hand doesnt look like the other because something is wrong. How can you fix it?" She replied "your lady does a good job. I think it's okay." Rather than apologize for what was obviously a problem and offer a solution such as come back another day when the technician is here, she denied the inadequate service and gave no remorse or solution for an unsatisfied customer. I was just in town visiting family and chose this salon to get my nails done on Christmas Eve. The inside was very cute and decorated for Christmas, and the staff were all very friendly when I walked in. I got a gel manicure and it was $40, which is a little pricey since I'm used to only paying $30 back in San Diego. Manicure was decent- they have a great color selection. There was a nice back massage while the nails were drying that I wasn't expecting. On the way out they gave me a little hand lotion from under their Christmas tree, which was a nice and thoughtful touch! The girl who did my nails was very sweet and everyone in the salon was inviting and friendly. I was disappointed considering this was my first time attempting to visit this salon. When I walked in, no one greeted me. I stood looking around until someone finally asked what I would like to get accomplished. I told her dip power just on my hands. She quickly said no and turned me away. I came in today for a pedicure. The service was fine but I'm a bit disappointed by the Covid protocols. Staff and patrons wear masks, but of course not everyone wears masks properly (and most patrons wear crappy masks that don't do much of anything). There is also no social distancing whatsoever. There is plexiglass that separates staff from patrons - a good idea to try and help protect the health of the workers - but I was squeezed right next to other customers with nothing separating us. This might not be a problem for everyone but for those of us who have reasons to be concerned about the spread of Covid-19, this is not ideal. I would recommend that anyone who is immunocompromised go somewhere that takes greater measures to protect their customers. I was really surprised that no efforts were made to at least spread out seating a bit. read more

I called to secure an early morning appointment, which was honored as soon as I entered the salon. I was pleased to see that they offer organic polishes--a rarity in salons. In addition to the organic manicure, they offer a complimentary massage as you're waiting for your polish to dry. I truly recommend this salon! Meh. Just ok. My usual manicurist was out of town, so I came here because it was close to my home. The pedicure was kind of rushed. I had to ask someone when they were going to start my gel nails because I was left sitting in a chair. Then I had to direct the woman doing my nails on how to shape them round properly. I'm content with how they turned out, but annoyed that I had to pay such close attention so my nails didn't turn out shoddy. I wish that I could give this place 5 stars. It would make my life so much easier as they are down the street from my apartment. Alas, that's not the case. To be completely fair, I'm going to separate this review into two categories: nails and eyebrows. Nails - this would easily be 5 Stars. The nail technicians take a lot of time and care in manicuring. Their design art is spectacular and I receive a lot of compliments on their work. Eyebrows - this would be a 1 Star review if I didn't have to balance things out due to the quality of their nail services. To start, every time that I've gone to get my eyebrows waxed the employees argue about who HAS to do them. It's pretty evident that no one enjoys this work. The first few times they did a mediocre job - usually arching way more than I ask for. This last time guaranteed them never getting my waxing business again. After the usual arguing, someone finally took me into their waxing area. She used a ton of wax which was alarming, but even more alarming was that she poured wax all over my face and neck. It was clear that she didn't care about the quality of my experience and only wanted to get the job over with so she could get back to whatever she was doing prior to my arrival. When she showed me my face after she completed the job I wondered what she actually did. There was no visible difference in the shaping of my brows and when I returned home I actually finished the job of plucking in areas that she missed. I understand that it's a busy salon, and I can even understand that waxing might be a tedious, less desirable activity. But for the amount that they charge for those services, I expect a high quality of service in return. They have proven that they either can't, or more likely will not, deliver. read more

I've been going to Millenium for 2 years and I've always received the best service. From the owner to the nail technicians, everyone is courteous and considerate. Some other places take forever just for a simple manicure, but with Millenium, I can be in and out under an hour with a regular mani pedi. In terms of skill the nail techs have all been trained well - and then some. I always get compliments when I get my nails done. I had an appointment last Wednesday at 4:30PM for a gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrows. All was well with the service EXCEPT, nobody serviced me for my brows. I wound up paying for the mani and pedi and leaving a tip because I thought she did a good job. . Since Monday, both my nails and feet are chipping. My gel manicure looks horrible. I have NEVER gotten gel that did not last me two weeks. I am going out if town tomorrow and have to go and get another mani and pedi a week later! PLEASE do not say I should have paid extra for powder. Gel manicures last at LEAST two weeks. I have gone here a few times, never had a problem and decided to go back last week since its closer to home than my usual place. I have never seen the person who serviced me before-maybe she is new. Do not patronize this place. I went for a pedi. My chair was broken. Ok I thought...happens. The person who did the pedi was good enough (no complaints). But the guy who runs it is why you should not go. He then charged me $10 extra because I am a guy. I'm sorry, do women have less feet and or toes?? I hadn't been in over a year due to COVID, but I just started going again and now I can't stop! I went a month or so ago with some friends, who were so impressed and said it was the best manicure they had.
