Bar none, one of the best salons I've gone to in the U.S., and I've gone to hundreds, coast to coast. It's not fancy, but every technician I've found to be exceptional. I got regular manicures and gel, but more often than not, brought my own polish. The owner is delightful and makes you feel like you've been coming there for decades, even if it's your first time. I haven't gone in several months, not because I didn't want to, I haven't been in town when I needed a mani/pedi, hence the coast-to-coast knowledge of various salons. When I was home this past weekend, I decided to try a place closer to my house. I was convinced to dip, and a few hours later, I was soaking them off in my home. I was in wedding and I debated on getting my nails done for about 2 weeks because my nails grow so quickly. Next was deciding where and what to get which was a process in itself. Finally after several reviews and phone calls I decided to go with this salon. I made an appointment and was seen right away. I was undecided on acrylic or gel and I liked that they did not pressure me. I decided on gel over my natural nails and a basic pedicure. I loved everything from the nails to the feet. Gave this place a shot since I was in the area...very disappointed unfortunately. My tech was speaking in her native language to her coworkers then looked at me and said they weren't talking about me and not to worry...well I wasn't worried until that moment. She was in a rush from the start, I was the only one in the shop so there shouldn't have been a need to rush. I had an issue with the way one of the nails was turning out so I asked for it to be redone. She acted bothered and I got very frustrated and informed me she was wasting material. Excuse me for expecting decent service that I'm paying you for. I told her I can leave and we don't have to finish since it's such a bother to her to perform a service that Im paying for. If I'm paying you I do expect a little more care to be taken. I was planning to get a pedicure also but after seeing how hard it was for her to do her job in the first place I decided against it. I read reviews on google that said the shop was awful but decided to try anyway. I should have listened. It's a day later and some of the nails are already starting to separate from the nail bed. The surface of the nails are not very smooth at all. Very disappointing. read more

I have been here twice. Once for a regular mani and once for a regular mani / callous treatment pedi. Both times were enjoyable. I really like that they open at 10 on Sundays. Seems to be the earliest I can find in the Perry Hall area. I don't know the name of the girl I had the first time, but I had Susanna the second time. She was very friendly and didn't push the gel option which is always nice. Their prices are reasonable. Truthfully there's nothing fancy about the salon, but they did good work and the girls are friendly. I will continue to go here. read more

Do not go here to get your nails done, specifically a fill in. Their other services look promising but as far as nails, I was so disappointed. I got a fill in with gel and the woman doing my nails told me she had been doing nails for years so I trusted her abilities. When I tell you my nails were absolutely terrible... they were all different lengths, shapes and extremely uneven. I couldn't believe it. She was so nice too, such a sweet lady. Nails probably wasn't her specialty in this salon. But like I said their other services look promising. read more

Once again, I find myself wishing for a "no-star" option. I originally went looking for Love Hot Wax for a manicure, based on the sheer number of excellent, five star Yelp reviews. Turns out they were no longer there, but because I had driven out that way and a new salon had taken its place, I figured I would give Nail America a try. Whoops. I was greeted by a less than friendly gentleman who was more interested in the conversation he was having via his Bluetooth headset than in providing any sort of customer service, and the fact that he barked "what do YOU want?!" at me did not accurately reflect any of the signage promising me that walk-ins are welcome, no appointments are necessary, and that I should just come on in. Needless to say, I didn't stay long. The man who "greeted" me warned me of a 10 minute wait as he absentmindedly waved his arm toward three women in the back hunched over the clients they were servicing with pedicures, and at no point was I asked to look at the selection of nail polish to see what I might like. I also didn't see any prices posted anywhere, nor did the man stay near the front long enough for me to ask before he went back to his phone conversation. I sat down for about 30 seconds, surveyed the scene, and high-tailed it on out of there to find a different salon (where I then got excellent service). Avoid Nail America like the plague! read more

I've been coming here on and off since I was a teen. Sandy has owned this shop for over 10 years. She is still doing very well for herself. This shop is not pricey and you still get outstanding service as you would at a more expensive salon. This is a very family friendly salon. Today I had Shanti (spelling?) give me a manicure and I am very pleased. She was quiet, but very sweet. She took her time and did a wonderful job. I will be going back to see her! read more

Under new mgt as of 9/4/15. This is such a great place! I am so picky about nail salons because my nails are so sensitive. But these ladies are so gentle! It is so welcoming here, it is like a home. They offer you all sorts of beverages, even wine! They do a great job with my gel manicures, even give me two base coats because I am hard on my nails. Most nail salons are in a hurry, but they take the time to do things right here. Recently my husband and I went away to a spa in Berkeley Springs, WV, and he said he had the most relaxing pedicure ever. The spa pedicure I had at Nail America put that one to shame. I know I had at least a 15 or 20 minute massage just of my legs! And my nails look amazing. They did a great job on my eyebrows too. read more

Within two days of my gel dip being applied, my nail cracked. After a few more days my thumb cracked. I have never had this happen to me before and have been getting dipped for a few months. I just happened to need my nails done quick and that was even why I went here. I won't be back. read more

After a bad experience at the place I had been going to for years, I am trying several nail places this summer in hopes for finding a new one I love. I came here for gel manicure and pedicure. I got their July special for the pedicure and it included a ten minute massage. I walked in without an appointment and they took me immediately. My tech Anna took her time and went above and beyond. Not to be gross, but I have bad ingrown toenails and she carefully took care of them. The massage was great. She also went above and beyond to make sure my manicure was perfect. I was impressed when she told me to come back if I had any issues within one week and they would take care of it. The only negative to this place was the noise. Two different televisions and a rude parent allowed their children to run and yell. I come to relax when I get a pedicure and it was hard to do. Maybe they could put up signs about it being a quiet zone and put the televisions on close captioning? read more

Went here for a manicure and pedicure recently and I will NEVER go back! My pedicure was horrible. The lady did a half ass rushed job. She slapped on foot scrub and just rinsed it off right away then did no foot massage at all . Also put on cuticle softener AFTER she had already removed my cuticles which made absolutely no sense to me. I guess she was trying to hurry up and get to other customers or she didn't feel like doing it at that time ( she was very much pregnant) and seemed in a bad mood. Not only that but my polish was put on sloppy and my toe nails were filed crooked. Needless to say after seeing this I decided not to get the manicure. To top it off when I was done when I gave her my card she had the nerve to ask for a tip I said no and she she gave me a mean look. Basically I paid $25 for her to just paint my toenails.
