I've been on the hunt for a new eyebrow spot, so I decided to give the Brow Bar at Ulta a try. I called in for an appointment beforehand, and they do ask if you have any specific waxer you'd like to book with. I didn't have a preference, and took the next open slot. When I was there, I asked to have my upper lip done as well. I was pleased with the result, but the price was double of what I normally paid for the same services. Still, I was content with how my eyebrows looked after a string of failed trials at other salons. I called back last weekend to book an appointment for Monday (the holiday), but was told they had no one in to wax that day. I ended up going to a different salon who gave the same kind of result for a lower price. I don't see myself being a regular here, but it's definitely somewhere I can count on to do it right. read more

Brows. Too thick. Too thin. Missing. Drawn on. You know you've seen it all. I can not stress how important they are to framing your face! My fellow Yelpers rated this Brow Bar located in the Ulta Canton, so highly I had to try (8.5/10 you guys are right). I cheated on my regular threader (gasp). This actually wasn't my first time visiting. I tried to get them done here before but the other brow specialist wasn't so friendly and said she was finished for the day. Much better experience with Crystal. She was very personable and walked me through the process. Basically your face will be mapped to determine areas that need to grow in and areas that will be waxed. Since I'm in the process of growing my brows (read my Thread review and make sure you never go there), I stressed to Crystal that I only wanted them cleaned up. She applied a thick under eye cream first. Then she waxed my brows and proceeded to fill them in. Now I'm a natural girl, so she sensed my apprehension when I saw that they were drawn darker (with powder) than I liked. She took it off and switched to a softer and lighter mouse. Much better! My shape isn't perfect because I have areas to grow in. She did a good job however I still love threading. There is something about threading that I just prefer. This service is pricey at $20+ tip but I felt it was worth it due to the level of service and not walking out with red irritated skin. read more

I went to Kara for the first time this past weekend and was so impressed and happy with how my brows turned out! I hate getting my brows waxed because my skin is sensitive to the wax which leaves me with redness and feeling sore around my eye area. Kara took the time to listen to my questions and concerns so we could take the best approach to getting my desired look with minimal pain! Afterward, she filled my brows to give me a natural look and applied new foundation so I didn't leave the brow bar with a red face. After such a great experience, I will be going back to the brow bar more than once a year to get my brows done. read more

I have had my brows done by Crystal 3x now and she has consistently worked with my jacked up brows and given me a great starting point so I can do my magic lol. Crystal puts on under eye cream, puts my brows back on, puts on moisturizer and a quick temple massage this makes me feel like my 20$ was well spent. Sweet and funny she is great at brows I have only been twice but both times she was amazing got me the shape I wanted after just one wax I have a little to grow in but have never had a brow artist listen to exactly what I wanted and actually get me that ! The Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta definitely gets an A+. My eyebrows needed some serious attention and, since I had to stop in Ulta (well, I didn't have to, but that's not the point) I figured I would give the Brow Bar a shot! The set up is very pink, very bright, and modern! There are a few chairs to sit while you wait. You can call before to make an appointment, but there was only one person before me, so I didn't have to wait. I was initially a little put off by the price at 20 dollars for an eyebrow wax, but it's worth it. Jessica was very friendly and professional! First, she asked about my skin care routine to make sure waxing was okay. Then she filled in my brows and marked the spots on my face where my brows should arch. After that she waxed my brows and that was pretty much that! She showed me where to tweeze in between waxes, which was very helpful. You pay for the services at the register and can tip in cash or by credit card. I'll definitely return! read more

Never go to Crystal! Jess and I spent months trying to fix what she did. I was in a bind, and had to come in last minute. Crystal was the only one available, so I went back to her. She tried to convince me that my eyebrows were even after she waxed them. I have an important event for work tomorrow, and am crying now. I've never had my brows waxed before, and this was SUCH a great experience. Jessica was super friendly, took the time to ask a bunch of questions about my skincare routine, and to explain her process for measuring based on my eyes/bone shape, drawing on the brow shape with makeup, and then waxing around that. She spent a really generous amount of time to shape them and correct it until it was exactly right, and answered all of my questions throughout. I'm really happy with the results and would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a personalized experience with somebody who really cares about getting the best brows for your face and definitely knows a lot. Just had my brows done by Rashida at the benefit brow bar at ulta - she was wonderful and my brows look fabulous!! I prefer a thicker brow and told her that I'm not going to put time into my brows each morning and Rashida did a great job at shaping and taming my brows while still hearing my needs to create a gorgeous thick, but shaped brow that is as low maintenance as my morning routine. My roommate and I researched estheticians on a whim one Sunday afternoon to treat ourselves after a tough few weeks. Both of us have extremely full, dark eyebrows. Due to some bad experiences with eyebrow waxing, I hadn't let anyone touch my brows in years. My roommate had never had anyone do her brows before in her life, Jessica took great care of us, and did a wonderful job of making us both feel comfortable. She actually LOVES doing brows, and it's evidenced in her work. I'm almost nervous to try another location while I'm home for the holidays, because I can't imagine anyone else will do nearly as good a job. Jessica is wonderful. Was terrified of getting my eyebrows waxed after some bad experiences a few years ago but after reading the reviews here I felt it was worth giving it a try. Jessica was awesome. Got my eyebrows done by Jessica today. She is amazing and pleasant! I told her I didn't want them too thin but still wanted them to have an arch. She did just that and even paid special attention to plucking the strays that were left after the eyebrow wax. It is clear she values her work and wants to make people look their best! I used to get my eyebrows threaded and thought it was the only way to get great looking eyebrows. Jessica proved me wrong! My brows have never looked so good. She even gave me tips on where to grow out my bald spots on one eyebrow, and paid special attention to avoid the little hairs that were growing in. I read about the amazing Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta. I wanted to get mine done before Christmas, but couldn't fit it in my schedule. So I got them threaded instead. But when I came back from my visit home, I planned to let them grow so I could attempt another visit to Ulta. I was finally able to get them done last night and they look great. Whenever I have had them waxed or threaded, I always feel like they are too perfect and don't belong on my face. So I asked for them to be cleaned up but look more natural for me. Well, she didn't disapoint. The wax didn't even hurt because it is a facial wax not a standard wax. Definitely worth the $20. The girl who did mine was sweet and friendly, but I didn't get her name. read more
