This place was the perfect stop for lunch as it was walking distance from my hotel and even close to the cannery row! Think of quick and easy Mexican food, but a fusion of halal / Mediterranean style foods. We absolutely loved the portion sizes as only a few orders fed my family of 5! The service is too top, very friendly and accommodating staff. The owners are super nice too! Ambiance is fast casual, with high table tops and street artwork in the background! Def coming back when I'm in the area again! Need their nachos!
Food: I ordered the Notorious B.I.G and a side of waffle fries. The burrito itself was 10/10. The waffle fries tasted like they sat under a heat lamp all day 4/10. The chips were pretty good but some did have too much seasoning 8/10. The cheese was decent, nothing to rave about but definitely was nice to have 7/10. I would definitely come back. Recommendation to business, I would like to have had more chips for all the cheese, even if that meant a slightly smaller burrito. Inside is decent size with plenty of seating. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I've been salivating about coming here for YEARS!!!! I almost made it yesterday but the democratic process did not allow me to make it. I finally got there today and happy that I did. I got a regular nacho order which was lots of food. I loved that there was plenty of cheese on the bottom. Hate when you get nachos and the cheese is only up top. The nachos were good. The bottom tasted better than the top. We got there before any type of lunch rush so we were the only ones so that helped us get our order quickly. I liked the decorations in the restaurant. Good visit.
I was instantly drawn to this spot when I saw the name. It was a very busy Saturday night in the town and long waitlists for most restaurants; I was starving so I decided to try the nachos here since it was going to be quicker. I ordered the house special loaded nacho burger and the Bizness nachos with jalapeno cheddar and carne asada. Boy were these nachos loaded with cheesy goodness and generous amounts of jalapeno. Each bite was nice and spicy! The burger however was a bit dry and okay. The waffle fries on the side were really good, hot and crispy. It's a quick and casual spot, and I'd recommend the loaded nachos! It was surprisingly filling and hit the cheesy spot.

The business was really clean inside; borderline too clean because it had kind of a chemical smell. We got the Bizness Nachos "Hella" size to share grabbed a patio type table that was just outside the glass doors. The nachos were definitely big. We were barely able to finish them between the two of us. The meat on its own was fine but it just didn't work in the nachos the way that I wanted it to. I am a nacho lover though and they definitely did a great job on the chips and cheese, which are the foundation of good nachos. I would come back here and try one of the other meat options or maybe even ask them to do a plain chip and cheese nacho for me. I'm glad we gave them a try and you should too.
Once I saw Nacho Bizness I definitely wanted to try it as I love nachos. I visited on a weekday right after lunch time and the place wasn't busy at all. The staff was really nice and friendly and explained to me my options. I placed an order for The Bizness - Hella Sized with Gyro meat. They had an outside patio which was great as I was able to sit with my dog. The Bizness was loaded with toppings and it was delicious. It tasted fresh and cheesy and saucy. It was amazing. The gyro was cooked perfectly and the pico was fresh and tasty. I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

This is second only to "nacho daddy" in vegas for restaurant names in the tortilla chips, slang in game. if you pay cash, you get a 4% discount and you also get to feel good for not subsidizing those men old credit card companies Ambience: they had numerous giant TVs and not really sure what they play typically but when I was there, it looks to be an interview with Larry David or something. they did not have the closed captioning on so who knows!! there is one table out in front of the place and I wouldn't call this a courtyard exactly as somebody did, but it is a comfy little spot under a tree and you could probably have your dog out there too I guess if I want us to change one thing I would want a larger variety of hot sauces than just Sriracha All in all the guacamole and chips made for a satisfying lunch and it was enormous too. I recommend bringing your own Tupperware because I think the likelihood you'll finish everything on your plate is next to zero. Hooray for nacho business making vegan comfort food so easily accessible. I might even say this establishment is suitable for level five AND level six vegans!! Oh, and I almost forgot, but when I came in and realized they had a discount for Cash, I ran back out to my car to get that chedda and by the time I came back in which was probably only 90 seconds later the nachos were already delivered to my table and that's kind of fast service! Well done nacho bizness!
Went recently, with new owners they have turned things around for the better. Food was really good.
Reviews are reminders to myself Carne asada fries - waffle fries were nice and crispy when they came out, carne asada was grilled small cubes of meat and not really marinated like Mexican food, their homemade nacho cheese is more watery but tasty (personally don't eat that much cheese so the amount was a bit overwhelming for me and made the bottom fries soggy), pico and jalapeno added refreshing element to cut through the heaviness if the cheese Overall pretty good fries
We weren't even hungry and we demolished our nachos. Quick service and SO BOMB!!! We got the asada fries and they were so fresh, hot, and delicious!!

The chicken was dry, tough, and flavorless. The asada was on the tough side, flavor was okay. The nacho cheese itself was good. chips, standard. We just wanted a snack before dinner, and would've been better off just asking for basic chips + nacho cheese. Inside smelled of heavy cleaning chemicals which I guess means they clean, but there was no ventilation it seemed to circulate the air. We sat outside, much better. A bit chilly though but better than being inside.

My sister and I were in town for the AT&T Pro-Am and we had just checked into the Marriott Monterey for the weekend and needed an afternoon snack before our dinner at Whaling Station Restaurant. Nacho Bizness was a quick 5-minute walk from the hotel. There is street parking available and a parking lot in the back. We ordered the Hella Sized Asada Waffle Fries ($22.59) to share. The portion had to have weighed at least 5 lbs. The waffle fries were crispy, the carne asada was flavorful, and the jalapeños provided a nice tang. I only wish there was more pico de gallo. I would order this again. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. The gentleman behind the counter was nice. There was interesting music being played (Middle Eastern/Indian?), not your typical Top 100. read more

I really want to give this place a better rating. The workers seem chill, the location is convenient, and the interior has personality. But at the end of the day, the food speaks. No doubt their whole vibe is top notch and their marketing well curated. Their food items are eye catching, just take a peek at their Instagram. But for $15, their carne asada Mac & Cheese bowl was a heavy handed slap in the face. Now I love mac n cheese of all shapes and sizes. I'll eat the Kraft blue box with a big smile. But this was the most bland, disappointing meal I've had in all of Monterey. The bowl was a creamy, soupy mess (you can see the water soup in the photo). And for being so close to farmland, the toppings had very little flavor. I understand that being halal introduces dietary constraints. But whatever it entails, please find some better ingredients and seasoning. Try salt. My unsolicited advice is pull the mac n cheese from the menu, rework your recipe, and reintroduce it when it's ready. read more
This has been my third time eating at Nacho Bizness and it never fails to provide. I ordered the Phife because it included both chicken, steak, and beans. The meat was tender and tasteful while the cheese sauce was excellent. They do nachos well and stay for Trivia Night if you are lucky to attend. I will always come back. read more

When I first noticed Nacho Bizness in Downtown Monterey, I was a bit skeptical on the quality of the place due to the punny name. Now that I tried it, I must say for nacho cravings I was clearly missing out on this place. A great lunch spot to share a bowl of nachos with friends and portion size big enough to satisfy at least 2 people for a regular (I don't know how much bigger it can get with a large!). I ordered the Phife and it was filled to the brim with toppings, ranging from standard cheddar cheese, guacamole, both carne asada and chicken, salsa, and so much more. Excellently made too and did not feel overwhelming or too soggy at the end, which is a definite no for me if that occurred. For this portion for the price, I felt like it was reasonable as well at around 17-18 dollars. Staff were friendly and on the day I went, I also noticed they had a special Middle East/Mediterannean choices as well so that was interesting to try one day as well. Space inside is small to medium so it's not made for a huge party but enough for a lunch outing with a few folks. I need to loosen my skepticism when it comes to punny named restaurants as Nacho Bizness has definitely earned my attention to one day come back for more. I give this place a great recommendation for those visiting Monterey & especially interested in nachos. I know I'll be back again to try some more and if just as great as I first went, will give this place a 5 stars. read more

He was SO sweet, immediately telling us to head to his brother's crepe store for a friee crepe. The loaded nachos are ridiculous in the best way!! Right in the heart of downtown Monterey, they are next to all kinds of shops and other cool things to do, and is great for a quick bite to eat. I like how unique their menu is, and there are quite a few options there to really indulge in, besides some of the more common burrito and bowls they offer. I tried the Mac n cheese with waffle fries burrito, and that one is no joke! Don't let the concept or ingredients fool you - between the portion and heat level it's not for kids haha. The tio burrito with carne asada is my favorite and would recommend it. Staff stated and also displayed in restaurant that all meat is halal, for anyone interested. read more

The food here was great and they give VERY generous portions. I was shocked at how much we got honestly and the fact that they have a bigger size than what we ordered is astonishing. I was able to finish about half of my fries before I got full. I was questioning the use of waffle fries for the carne asada fries, but it turned out pretty good! The burrito is massive and was thicker than my arm! We ordered for pick up during dinner time and it was prepped pretty fast! Definitely would recommend trying :) read more

It's street parking only. There's indoor seating available. I got The Bizness nachos and a side of fries and cheese. The cheese for the side of fries were spicy (the more you ate), so be warned it can get too much for those that don't eat spicy as much. The Bizness nachos weren't as spicy and were loaded with meat and cheese. It was so good. The fries were crispy and tasted so good with the cheese, but just got too spicy towards the end. It's been a while since I've had nachos with all the frills, but unfortunately, this shop didn't quite hit the spot. Nacho Bizness located in the bustling downtown Monterey area since parking was a bit of a challenge, but surprisingly, the restaurant was not that busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ended up getting a hella (large) loaded nachos to share with jalapeno cheddar and carne asada. We also wanted to try the fries, but apparently the fryer has been down. The order came out quickly and the portion size was quite reasonable for what we paid. Guac and carne asada was lavishly scooped on top, but unfortunately, the carne asada was lacking much if any char flavor. The chips also weren't anything special, but it would have been nice if they made fresh chips in house. The house salsa was unfortunately all out, which would have been a nice addition to the nachos. Pros: Large portions, but nothing unique. Cons: Limited street parking. read more

It consist of cheese, milk and peppers or adobo sauce. As long as those things are good to go, so are you.
Do you charge $2 more for guacamole? First day I got nachos with guac for $8 and next day some lady charged $2 extra for guac. The sign says $2 for guac extra and not extra guac. Anyways would like to know what the right price is?
Hi, thank you for asking. The price for the nachos is $8 with as many regular toppings as you would like. The only topping that is an extra charge is the guacamole at $2. An order without guacamole should come to $8.69 and an order with guacamole…
Arrived here at 12:30 on Saturday - place was closed. There were boxes of chips, no one inside. No sign indicating why they are closed today during business hours. Still in business?
