Chorizo and delicious rice and beans. The free chips and salsa bar was delicious and spicy.

Food delicious and plentiful. Service was kind and friendly. Casual place for families too.

Worse shrimp tacos I ever had I came here in a hurry because where I usually go it's closed and deeply regret it literally just wasted $20 in 3 shrimp tacos that literally have no seasoning it literally went to the trash

We have been going to Las Cazuelas since they opened and they never disappoint. We have tried different foods from their menu and everything has been good. They have been consistent over the years and the food is ready in an average of 15 minutes. Would recommend checking them out.

Las Cazuelas is a solid choice for Mexican food. Sure, it's a bit watered down compared to "more authentic" Mexican taquerias but there's nothing to shame here when it comes down to food that tastes good that comes with quick and efficient service. The location shares a parking lot with other businesses so parking can get crowded. There's a popular buffalo wing chain next door (you know which one I'm talking about). So, depending on when you visit, be prepared to park a bit further than you'd expect. The interior of the location is smaller than you'd expect from looking at the outside. Judging by the fact that the restaurant even has a "to-go container" shelf by the registers with a hand written note on it saying "do not touch" leads me to believe that the kitchen area is probably quite cramped as well. So they're trying to maximize the interior footprint the best they can. Even so, I didn't have trouble finding a table for two. Something I always appreciate when going out for Mexican food / Tex-mex is a good salsa bar. This place delivers on that. From cucumbers, to radishes, escabeche, and a couple of different salsas to choose from, there are plenty of options. There's one mild green salsa and a spicier red salsa, plus pico de gallo available. I ordered the regular Carne asada burrito which came out really quickly after I ordered it. I'm talking about less than 3 minutes. It was hot, wrapped well, and ready for devouring. The carne itself was a bit dry and the rice didn't taste overly seasoned. The beans were cooked perfectly though (I hate when they're overdone) and had a nice "bite" to them. With that said; Was this the best burrito I've ever had? No. Would I come back and try another one? Yes. Overall, the shortcomings here are minimal and the food itself is good enough to warrant another try. The prices are fair ($11.95 for my burrito) so, if you're in the area, it's worth a try yourself. Otherwise, there are plenty of stellar options for Mexican food in the area.

Reasonable wait times, open side bar for topping, and relatively clean. Good tacos and decent portioned meats

What's there not to love about this place zero Lines, friendly staff, clean restaurant, free chip bar, an excellent food. I ordered the super burrito and is massive. I posted a picture next to my Mexican Coke. It's almost the same size. It was delicious. I will be back.

Seaside, Ca. We were actually looking for a different place when we happened onto this mall based restaurant. It's set up to look like fast food Mexican, though it's really a bit better than that. My tacos were ok, good but not a lot in them, I would avoid the crispy version if your hoping for a larger portion of protein, My wife ordered the Chile relleno and a taco ala carte but it came out with the typical rice and crappy refried beans. She took it back in and they removed the offending extras but offered to refund for the charge of a combination plate.

Great service, good dining area. Super tidy and clean, they have a chips and salsa station. I can always rely on this resturant to hook me up, they have great portions with great flavor. This place and their Marina location is always my go spot.

Sure...another taqueria. Nothing special and nothing wrong. It's just okay. Average in all ways. Has this what it's come to? Is average what we crave? Five of us sat and ate dinner. Got up and went outside. Not a word about dinner was spoken. What! Before all of us getting into our cars and driving away I asked " how was the food." " Good, okay and alright " were the answers. Boring Mexican restaurants and food in such a culturally rich Hispanic place as Monterey county is a drag. There's better. I want better, great, so delicious. Last words...keep trying.

Stopped by for an easy Mexican dinner. Nice Ambiance and service was great, people friendly .. but I was disappointed with the food. I got the Chicken Enchiladas and hubby got burrito. They have a self service chip bar with a heat lamp but chips were not fresh. Enchiladas looked good but absolutely no flavor, which really surprised me, I don't think I tasted any salt of pepper even.. my husband said his burritos was very dry and flavorless also. Had more beans than anything else.. Disappointed

This fast/casual Mexican restaurant is more than a fast restaurant (not necessarily a fast food place as you walk up to the ordering counter, pay for your food and they will bring your food to your table.) There is no way you can argue with the fact that this place has almost 5-star reviews from people who've dined there, and today, I joined one of them. Quality food, good service are offered at this place on top of the authentic feel of a/any Mexican place you'd expect to see. Prices are just right, too (if you do an a-la carte of two items, salsa bar and a bottle of beer would come to about $20 which is not bad for a restaurant in Seaside/Monterey area.) Employees are constantly walking around the place to ensure if we are enjoying our food, if we need anything else etc. Their attentiveness is/was top notch. The place is/was clean as well. Our home city (Denver) would love to have a restaurant like this in every major areas in it. I wonder if they'd consider opening a location in CO in the future?? I'm crossing my fingers for that!!

I think honestly they deserve a 3 1/2 star but that's not an option. You ask why: well that chips were stale and they are not authentic. The portions are excellent and service is quick. The girl at the cash register greeted us with a smile. The salsa bar was fresh. The bathroom were not the cleanest. I think they can do better.

How can you call these nachos with no cheese
    Serafim A.

Worst nachos I've ever had. I got the super nachos and they had hardly any cheese the meat was bland asf and the pico de gallo was old. 0 out of 10. Definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. Most definitely not worth the $20 dollars.

Don't! Worst enchiladas I have ever had. Sauce tastes like tomato sauce, borderline ketchup.

I felt safe to eat here thinking it was more on the authentic side of Mexican food, but I have to remind myself to look at the reviews closely before deciding on eating at a place. I had ordered 1 Gordita, 1 Burrito Gordo (Asada), and 1 Huarache. The Gordita had probably to be one of the worst Gorditas I ate in my entire life. The tortilla was very hard and dry, practically snapping off when I took a piece off. The next was the meat... very, very dry and quite bland. I don't know how this restaurant cooks their meat, but I'm assuming they overcooked it by the lack of moisture. The cheese inside was also disappointing, not much flavor to it nor had a fresh taste to it. I tried saving the dryness of the Gordita by adding salsa to it, that didn't help at all. The green salsa wasn't spicy (or at least had a kick to it) and didn't really taste like tomatillos, so I tried adding the red salsa to see if it was any different, not really. If you closed your eyes, you wouldn't really tell the difference between the two. Now moving onto our next dish, the burrito. I'll keep this one short. Asada was bland, dryer than a dessert, and even with the salsa and sour cream on it, couldn't save my mouth from the dryness I experienced. So if you read this review of mine, thank you, and I totally understand how hard it is to make Mexican food in this area considering a lot of the ingredients needed aren't easy to come by or the cuts of meat, so if you ever feel like eating Mexican remind yourself what can you eat here that you know I'll taste good. I don't live in this area but I knew, as…read morewhen I was driving looking for this storefront, most of the surrounding businesses were all Hispanic based. I kinda had a feeling I was gonna like the digs here. They grill here. Over this massive open charcoal/wood grill. 2 cooks back there, engulfed in a waft of smoke and fire. They must have put a fresh batch of meat on that grill as that grill top was covered every square inch. They only grill 2 meats: chicken on the bone and carne asada. They also grill whole red onions and serrano peppers to go with those char grilled meats. 1/2 Chicken Combo ($15/4*) Upon receiving, it almost looks burnt. But upon tasting no bitter burnt notes just extremely well manufactured char. The chicken is marinated in something. Probably a seasoning salt and maybe a touch of lime. Nothing is spicy or peppery just a salty, charred chicken flavor. I liked it but I think I like El Pollo Locos version a tad more. As that is more slowly rendered where the skin gets crisp and there's more of a buttery nuance in El Pollo Locos version. I hate saying I'm siding with a big corporate but chicken-wise they've got the edge. Now where this place beats any chain are in the sides and details. First the freshly charred onions and serranos that go with most meat orders are damn perfect. Soft and easy to break apart, inherent flavors intensified from the grilling and the char-y notes that you can control cuz you can add as much of the burnt layer or as little. And the rice, beans and salsas here are real Mexican cooking, nothing fast and ready made. Fresh from scratch with ethnic soul. Carne Asada Combo ($27/5*) This is a full pound of freshly grilled Carne Asada (thin and marinaded meat), no rice or beans just warm corn tortillas, salsas, pickled onions and those charred onions and peppers. Upon receiving I felt like a kid who got his first gift from Santa. First they gave me the warm tortilla holder and all the condiments. I could have made a meal with those alone. Then the biggest pile of freshly grilled steak I've ever seen get served to me at one time. The aroma was intoxicating and was superseded by getting a taste. A little heavy handed on the seasoning but damn did that grilled meat flavor hit you like a bat. Slightly smoky with charred hits and THE most juicy and tender carne asada I've ever had. Usually the preparation can yield tough and overcooked meat but not here, there is some wizardry involved. I was putting whole pieces of meat in a rustic cowboy taco and you could still bite through the taco effortlessly. That's some serious mojo they are messin' with. I actually found a combo for the perfect steak taco here. Warm tortilla base; cut up and throw some charred peppers and onions; throw enough carne asada on there to your heart's intent; a few dabs of their tomato salsa with the charred flecks; then finally a generous sprinkling of their pickled red onions to gild the lily. THE BEST carne asada taco I've ever had. And I've had hundreds if not thousands. Trust. We just finished a substantial hike and was on route to a camping weekend. Had enough leftovers that we didn't have to cook on the first night, just heated things in foil over camp fire. They conveniently catered and we relished and feasted. A fiver relationship if I ever heard of one.
