Italian restaurant offering stone baked pizzas, pastas, and other delectable dishes…read more
Although we did not secure reservations ahead of time, we were seated within a few minutes of our arrival.
The atmosphere is modern with large glass windows looking out to the walkways of the city. The decor is simple, rustic with dark tones throughout the dining area. The natural light is beautiful while dining at 8 pm! It doesn't get dark at night!
Service is somewhat slow here. Our order was taken after other guests were seated after us, and we noticed their orders were taken before us. Maybe our server was distracted?
Finally, after waiting for quite some time, our server appeared and took our drink and meal orders. Unfortunately, our dishes came out at all different times. The three course meal was served very late. Maybe due to the seafood? We shared our calamari , salad and pizza together, while waiting for the linguine.
Still water and sparkling water are served here upon request.
Our order: Appetizer-Calamari fritti (deep fried calamari with aioli and lemon, Insalata piccola (small side salad with cherry tomatoes, pickled red onion and honey and mustard vinaigrette).
Main three course menu, Della Casa-Bruschetta ai pomodorina (crispy focaccia with stracciatella, vegan 'nduja, and a mix of semi-dried and marinated tomatoes), Linguine ai frutti di mare ( classic pasta dish with mussels, scampi, heart shells in spicy tomato sauce), and Torte al limone ( tangy lemon crème, crispy short crust, topped with light Italian meringue).
Pizza: Parma ai pomodori secchi ( prosciutto di Parma, chèvre cream, honey, semi dried tomatoes, mozzarella fior di latte, rocket -asked not to add this, and pine nuts).
The food was amazing here. Just the timing of the service and presentation of dishes were unfortunate.
Minus one star for the timing issues.
