This was our first time eating here, with three out of four of us hating our dinners, I can only say the the excellent service was the best part of our dinner.
I have never posted such a bad review but this was such a bad meal, it deserved a comment.
One of the four of us ordered the beef dinner (Ojo de Befe) and he found it excellent.
Two of us ordered the lamb dish and they said it was tender, but it had no flavor. In fact, they could not tell that it was actually lamb because of the overpowering Malbec sauce which caused the vegetables to turn dark.
Finally, I ordered the pork tenderloin and vegetables in a chutney sauce. My dark brown sauce was so overwhelmingly sweet that I actually poured a bit of the vinegar into the sauce to try to correct it! The vegetables in the sauce were very dark brown from the sauce and equally unappetizingly sweet. I ended up eating a few bites of the pork, which was all I could eat on my plate!
In all fairness to the chef, we three (who ordered the lamb and pork dinners) should have sent these dinners back to the kitchen and ordered something else. The server was excellent. Every other lunch and dinner restaurant we have tried in Recoleto and Buenos Aires has been wonderful. read more
