Myrtos is a beautiful Greek restaurant in Doylestown that truly feels like a little escape the moment you walk in. The ambience is amazing--warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up so the whole space feels inviting without trying too hard. It's also super clean, which instantly makes you feel comfortable and cared for. What really stood out, though, was the service. The gentleman running the restaurant is absolutely charming--adorably polite and genuinely kind. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel truly welcome and helped make the whole experience feel effortless and special. And then there's the food. The dishes were out of this world. As someone who genuinely loves Greek food, I was blown away by how fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared everything was. It wasn't just good--it was memorable. Every bite was absolutely delish, and you can tell the kitchen puts care into the details. The flavors tasted authentic and satisfying in that classic Greek way--comforting, bright, and delicious from start to finish. I also had such a lovely time there because I met one of my best friends at Myrtos, and we ended up having the nicest, most relaxed lunch together. Excellent selection of mediterranean food! We had greek meatballs with pita bread tzitzaki sauce as our appetizer. Absolutely delicious. We both had the Mediterranean Seafood Kabob -- OUTSTANDING! I had the occasion the Sunday before Easter Sunday to meet someone here for a first date. We were greeted promptly and seated comfortably. The place was not busy at all since it was kind of late lunch territory in terms of time. Our meals were delicious, and we split the desert. Since it was a first date occasion, I didn't take pictures as I wanted to focus on her. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my date had the Atlantic Salmon. Both were cooked to perfection and were a modest portion size which suited us both. We split desert of Baklava, which was a perfect blench of sweet and nutty and flaky. My only issue was what was happening after dinner. Since it was a first date, we were lingering at our table longer than typical to take advantage of quiet conversation. My back was to the kitchen, so I couldn't see what was going on, but my date was definitely getting the stink eye from the waitress wondering when were going to turn over the table. The Good: Food was good. Dessert and dessert choices were excellent. We had a wonderful and experienced server. Myrtos has a parking lot. The OK: They have a lovely outdoor seating area but the inside dining area smelled moldy. The Not So Good: Myrtos does not serve alcohol. We're fine with BYOB, but why do they then charge a 5 dollar corkage fee especially when your wine has a screw top and needed no assistance with pouring a glass. They also charge a fee for using a credit card. I hate being nicked and dimed at a restaurant. I understand that prices are generally higher at restaurants in 2026, but when extra fees are charged it changes the ambiance. read more

Every time we visit Myrtos we are so pleased with the service, attention to detail, wonderful menu and nice atmosphere. We will look forward to taking advantage of the outdoor seating, as well. My friend and I enjoyed our soup and salad lunch with a fresh chopped Greek salad for my friend and a beet salad for me. Both salads were fresh and tasty, a small bowl full for each of us with a small bowl of flavorful Greek chicken lemon soup. What would have given it five stars would be slightly larger portions and maybe half of a pita included. Also, the server was friendly but didn't mention substituting for a beet salad would be an additional $5.00 That size salad was not worth $10. I decided to order from Myrtos after seeing their offer to help SNAP beneficiaries during the Republican shut down. I love Greek food and wanted to try them, but this sealed the deal. I ordered the grilled platter with the chicken and pork souvlaki and lamb gyro meat. It came with lemon potatoes (ugh a fave so good) and delicious zucchini chips. More than enough food for three people! I also got a side of pita and some tzatziki. Fresh, delicious, and hearty. The restaurant itself is beautiful and clean. This place only opened about two months ago so we've been eager to give it a try. Strangely the menu seems to be that of an Italian restaurant, full of pasta dishes, but with Greek names, for example, Zola Bucatini is Chicken Parmigiana...but hey, when in Greece... My wife ordered Lobster Bisque, but it didn't look, or taste, like any Lobster Bisque either of us had ever seen, or tasted. In fact she sent it back. The alternative was two MASSIVE Spanakopita, like large fruit turnover sized, very doughy but tasty enough. I'm not sure how many people could eat two of those and have room for an entree. I had the Avgolamono (Greek lemon chicken & rice soup) but it was more like wet mashed potatoes, but very tasty and lemony, with very little chicken found. For my entree I ordered the Gemista (stuffed tomatoes) with lemon roasted potatoes and they were not good. The filling (beef and rice) was very soft (mushy) with occasional undercooked rice adding the only texture to offset everything else that was very very soft and THEY ARE MASSIVE, two of them larger than softballs! Additionally there was a background bitterness I could not identify the source of. The lemon potatoes were hit and miss with a couple of tasty wedges and many that were not very tasty. My wife ordered the Salmon with lemon potatoes and broccolini. She gave the salmon a 4 but also didn't care much for the potatoes, and neither of us liked the broccolini, my favorite green veggie. That all said, the waitstaff is trying very hard to make a pleasant experience for diners. Unfortunately the acoustics inside are poor and our table next to a window was very drafty and cold. Sadly Myrtos feels half baked. Maybe we'll give it a second try... read more

So I have a high standard for Greek food having grown up with it. I also understand that Greek cuisine can be very regional so people can have very different views on what makes something authentically Greek or delicious Greek food. Having disposed of the disclaimers.... I ordered on line for takeout. We were interested in the gyro since it is the one thing I don't make at home. We all ordered the authentic gyro. The menu does not specify the meat used, lamb or some combo with pork and or beef, so if you have dietary restrictions, ask. It was a good sandwich and for $15, also a good value. Plenty of meat, thick and flavorful tzatziki, fresh veggies. We also ordered the Greek fries and the calamari appetizers. The calamari was overdone (a bit chewy) and I did not recognize the spicing here to be Greek. There were hints of Old Bay in the dredge. We ordered it with the lemon aioli (not marinara) and found that either the squid or aioli was spicy. The flavor was not to our liking and that could be just a difference in personal preference. The Greek fries were $12.50 and topped with oregano and "feta" cheese. The disappointment here was the amount of feta, the type of feta and the amount of fries. There was very little feta. I expected more. Feta is very regional but I have to say that this tasted more like mitzithra than feta. Some of the non-Greek fetas have this taste and texture so that might explain things. However, the small portion for which they charged $12.50 was not a good value and we would not reorder this in the future. Overall, I would give these folks 3.5 stars with the Gyro 4 stars read more

My wife and I made a reservations for 6pm. We arrived promptly at 5:57. They recognized our name immediately and sat us right away. Server was personal and informative about the menu. We picked apps and our entrees and were served within a reasonable amount of time. The app was delicious. Entrees came out after a little wait (perfect timing for chit chat). The entrees were perfect. A cornucopia of flavor and textures. So good! Oh so good!! Desserts are a must! Between the excellent service, food and ambiance......all were perfect! To add on to this the owner met with us to ensure we were satisfied. Definitely returning and recommending this restaurant to everyone!! For an entree, I ordered "Gemista (stuffed tomatoes): they were out of it. It was literally the first Traditional Dish listed on the menu. I switched to a kabob. Delightful experience! Friendly, engaging staff, tasteful decor, and delicious food. My friends and I went to lunch and nearly had the place to ourselves. We had the Greek fries for an appetizer. I ordered the lunchtime soup and salad which consists of avgolemeno soup and Greek salad although I subbed for a beet salad at no additional cost. A simple and delicious lunch for $15. We tried the lamb chops (more like lollipop for $42 lol) and the scallop pasta. Yeah safe to say, save your money. I literally had lamb lollipops from a sushi restaurant last week that below these out of the water. Each lollipop here was cooked to a different doneness level. The lemon potatoes were just so underwhelming and almost stale feeling, not a good texture. The broccolini was just okay. Scallop pasta was not that great which might've been expected from a Greek restaurant, so our fault but the waiter recommended everything we ordered. Go across the street if you want some good pasta and seafood. Hate to say that the service was not great. Sat with no water for the majority of my meal and obviously the recommendations weren't good. They got a great tip for not checking up on us more than once. The price was the craziest thing. 1 appetizer, 2 subpar entrees for $130 with tip. I'd expect an excellent entree for 40 bucks a pop and was greatly disappointed. The only thing I'd really be willing to come back and try is MAYBE a gyro for lunch to go but even that seems overpriced. I've had much much better Greek food at casual restaurants. read more

Excellent experience-tonight was our second time at Myrtos and it was wonderful!! We have excellent service. The food was fresh, flavorful, well-prepared and beautifully served. We started with a combination appetizer platter with hummus, fresh tzatziki, eggplant, stuffed grape leaves and toasted pita. Each bite was delicious. I had a special gyro platter that was about the best I've had anywhere. My husband had the scallops which were cooked just right but the pasta wasn't as flavorful as the rest of our meal. I'd recommend the black cod or Chilean sea bass which we had last time. Try to save room for dessert-we had baklava and it was excellent! The staff was very attentive and service was outstanding. Having been to Greece twice, I can say that this place is very authentic! I had a the pork souvlaki and my wife had the gyro platter. The food was fantastic and plenty of flavor. The menu was also extensive so many options for lots of different tastes. The service was excellent with the owner making sure to come up to the table to personally check on us and he talked with us, making our large party feel engaged. He made the experience personal and fun. On top of it the hostess and waitress were very friendly! They came up to check on us as our group arrived and made sure to ask what they could bring for our children so that they also were fed! Some of the nicest wait staff you could find. Always asking questions with a smile and, you could tell that they wanted to help each other and their customers. The place itself is pretty cool, almost modern romantic. The owner was nice enough to take our picture in front of the in restaurant sign and brought up the house lights so the picture looked good. What a great find! Someone at my eye surgeon's office suggested we go to Myrtos, since we were looking for a good place to have lunch on the way home. Am I ever glad they did! We will go again, eventhough it is about an hour's drive from home. It has nice outdoor and I for seating. The ambiance is pleasant. The gentleman waiting on us was wonderful. I had the best avgolemeno soup for first course I've ever tasted! In fact I took home a take out portion so I could have the soup again the next day. We also had delicious, crispy, tender calamari with a tasty dipping sauce. The lamb gyro my friend had was delicious, as was my moussaka. We had a nice tart Greek white wine and also Greek water. We topped the whole meal off with little cups of rich, sweet Greek coffee . And yes, my take out soup was just as tasty the next day! read more

We were greeted at the door by I'm guessing the owner and the Hostess and were seated way before the rest of the party arrived. They had live music which was a tad loud but enjoyable. Truly authentic and delicious (and I have been to Greece), we enjoyed everything we ordered for flavor and freshness. I especially liked the Tzatziki, Hummus and Moussaka. Friendly and attentive staff, Greek music and atmosphere and the owner stopped by our table to say "Yassou" as we were gathering our leftovers - since the portions are plentiful! Enough for 2 meals. This was our second time to this restaurant. We were impressed the first time. This time we were mostly impressed with the food but not with the outrageous pricing. I know restaurants have had to raise their prices quite a bit over the past several years and the margin on food service is not great for any restaurant owner. However, my husband and I split an underwhelming (flavor and portion) calamari app, ordered only water and two paper-wrapped gyro platters that came with fries and a very small Greek salad that had olives, cucumber, tomatoes and onions. Let's start with the staff. Although already booked for 6p, the team worked with my husband on the reservation + shuffled things around to accommodate our bigger group for the evening - thank you. Our waitress was kind, checked-in often and took care of our asks/concerns in a very polite and professional manner. Let's get to the food... The menu was a bit off putting as we noticed there were quite a few items that were notable Italian dishes, but figured Myrtos was trying to put their Greek spin on classic Italian staples for a bit of a fusion inspired menu offering. Recommended Apps: - Greek Salad. Simple and to the point. Cold, crisp and fresh vegetables. Hints of Greek spices. Good brininess from the olives add a nice touch. But the salad did lack a bit of vinegar, waitress did bring over additional vinegar to make this salad top notch. - Keftedes "Greek Style Meatballs". These were tasty and for the most part our table enjoyed them with a side of pita + tzatziki. - Octopus was tender and properly cooked, but was under seasoned and lacked that nice char / smokiness you should taste from a char grill fire. Apps Not recommended: - Fried Calamari. Nothing special here. Lacked flavor and presentation was lackluster leaving much to be desired. Recommended Mains: - Gyro, everything you'd expect from a good Gyro served with a side of french fries + greek salad. - Rack of Lamb was cooked as requested. Soft and tender but did lack salt. Lemon potatoes were definitely over cooked but the broccolini was served appropriately. Mains NOT Recommended: - Pastichio. We had high hopes for this baked classic Greek pasta dish and photos online actually pushed us to order it but when we received this dish we noticed the height just wasn't there. This dish should have LAYERS of baked pasta, a noticeable creaminess from the bechamel topped with ground meat + a cheesy golden top. It fell flat and the sauce it sat in was reminiscent of a canned tomato sauce you'd grab at your local grocer which lacked the traditional Greek flavors you'd expect from a Greek staple of this magnitude. - New York Strip. Unfortunately the kitchen does not know how to properly cook a steak, this was probably one of the biggest flops we experienced last night. When we received the steak, it was cooked at a medium-well temperature when the requested temperature was to be medium-rare. We sent the steak back for a new steak + what we received was far worse then the first round. Second steak was sent out to our table with a sear but a cold/rare interior, inedible. We sent the steak back for a second time + requested that the kitchen cook the steak to an edible standpoint so that our 12 year old could actually enjoy his meal for the evening. All in all - I really want to be a fan. I remember driving by as the new business owners were setting this place up for its grand opening and just thoroughly being excited about this restaurant. My intent is to not poo-poo this business because I know they are a new establishment and are still working through their kinks. Aside from this, Downingtown does indeed need the diversity of this cuisine offering and is a bit richer because of it. But there are just some kinks their kitchen needs to work through to make this establishment a neighborhood staple. read more

The owner came out and also to meet with everyone and was very personable and nice! Services was top notch and they really care about making sure that it stays that way by checking in. The food was really good from our appetizers of the tiropitakia, and shrimp lejon! Both very tasty and good portions to share. For dinner I got the traditional gyro and it was one of the best I've had. Very fresh produce and good amount of meat and tzatziki, I highly recommend! Visited this recently-arrived Greek restaurant. Ordered saganaki and octopus as appetizers and Gyros platters for dinner. The food was ok, but not exceptional. Although the restaurant wasn't packed, they forgot to serve the appetizers and brought them after the Gyros platters. The Saganaki was salty, the Octopus cooked well but cooked with too much oil and too little seasoning. The Gyros sandwiches were rather bland. The fries were soggy. The best part of the platter was the Greek salad, although it would have been more authentic if it included a stuffed grape leaf.
