AMBIENCE I ate here on a Saturday for lunch with my two teenage sons. The restaurant is new, clean, and lovely with a large covered outside area and ample indoor seating. There was a full-service bar and clean bathrooms. FOOD and AUTHENTICITY We love authentic, spicy Thai food so that is what we were hoping to find. We ordered the Tom Yum soup w/Shrimp, the Roasted Pork Belly Buns, Drunken Noodles Beef (spicy), Roasted Duck Noodle (extra spicy), and Pad See Ewe Beef ("make your cry"). First, the food was cooked by what appeared to be Thai people in the kitchen, so that was a positive sign. All of the food was good quality (e.g., thick, chewy noodles), with ample portions, although priced higher than your typical authentic Thai casual restaurant, but not crazy expensive. SPICINESS AND CONDIMENTS The heat levels were okay, and I understand that we eat hotter-than-average spice levels, so as long as I can adjust mine with authentic condiments, I am fine with that. However, they did not have condiments ready, but did provide Siracha, garlic chili sauce, and freshly prepared chili fish sauce upon request, which I was grateful for. SUGGESTIONS My main suggestion is to offer chop sticks and authentic condiments, like white pepper, chili vinegar, chili fish sauce, sugar, and garlic chili sauce with the Pad See Ew. Also, I would love to see an authentic Papaya Salad on the menu. I would like to return after I see reviews that verify the addition of condiments and Papaya Salad (and hopefully more authentic Thai dishes). All in all, I am happy to see a new Thai restaurant in this area since we don't have enough. read more

If you live in Apex or the surrounding area, this new restaurant has amazingly tasty food! From the dumplings to the fried rice, this place beats anything else I've had in the area. It's pretty new, so they are still settling in, but I imagine by the time the weather turns, the covered outdoor area will be jammed. We have travelled to many places related to profession and personal preferences. The recommendations to dine at the Myra Cafe were positive. Our visit was on a cold Friday night. The cool vibes, service and cuisine were not what we expected in Apex. The experience was reminiscent of the West Coast. We appreciate the traditional, but we most appreciated the low key, chilled vibe, music, friendly diners and servers. Looking forward to the warmer weather when the windows open to the lanai. I don't write many reviews but after eating lunch here I thought it worthy. Probably some of the best Thai food I've eaten, anywhere. The spring rolls, the pork and shrimp dumplings, the cashew chicken - all amazing. I could have just eaten the cashew chicken sauce with a spoon by itself. New place worth trying in Apex. Off the beaten path of downtown being just on the outskirts. But that meant you were away from the parking and crowd challenges in downtown. The outdoor area is large and nice, the staff was some of the most attentive and kind we have experienced post COVID. The food was good, and the drinks were surprisingly good for what I was expecting. For the price of the meal, the quality was on par.
